My first disassembly went rather well, thanks to you. I was having some trouble with my trigger, it wasn’t sitting correctly. Hearing you explain how it should feel when engaging the valve made me realise it needed to be nudged slightly. Fixed everything. Thanks!

For anyone else coming here, the curve top of the trigger plate goes against the trigger. So the curve part inside points towards the back.

I’m new to airbrushes. I didn’t clean mine well enough and had to soak and disassemble it after use. Your video helped so much!

Good explanation, but I got stuck at 5:30 during the re-assembly, and found that I had to first thread on the spring-loaded trigger-return rod and verify it operated correctly, THEN the trigger back plate, and LASTLY the trigger itself. Once the needle is inserted it all comes together, just like TPS says. The caution regarding the trigger-return rod you mentioned during disassembly helped tremendously. Thanks for posting this!

Excellent video and explanation! I just bought a second-hand 105- the guy I bought it from thought it was broken and had it all taped together and weird. Turns out it was just assembled wrong, and now I have a like-new airbrush. Thanks!

Great video! The nozzle tip and retainer on my brand-new Patriot were tool-tight, and I was wondering if they were supposed to come apart. I was looking for a quick-connect for the 105. I've seen some reviews about air leakage. If you like your quick-connect, could you please supply a link to purchase one? Also, why does the company provide an extra tip?

I've read a few articles that say over cleaning an airbrush is akin to dropping it. According to the article too many breakdowns will break down the threads and tight tolerances. I strip down usually every other time. Is this going to ruin my airbrush prematurely?

My nozzle tip is stuck on the nozzle retainer and won't come off. I'd like to remove it for thorough cleaning and to put on the Badger super fine conversion kit. It simply isn't removing by hand, but I'm scared to force it off with a tool. Any ideas?

Do you recommend using a metal polish on the needle after cleaning it? Or just a standard airbrush lubricant? I have seen vids using one or the other so not sure myself since this is my first airbrush

I've just bought a Patriot 105, and it shipped with a 0.5mm (fine?) needle. The nozzle is much smaller than yours, and screws in, not drop out. I'm a little confused.
Can I take the 0.5mm nozzle from mine, and the medium nozzle (with a matching needle!) just drop in?
