    It's just too much hustle to change a color drasticly, multiple airbrushes looks like a must.

    • @StaticModel
      @StaticModel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For quick color swap you don't need to perform deep clean. Flushing with thinner will be enough. But if you tend to use metallic paint/primer/clear coat - multiple airbrushes will make things much easier.

    Man i love the ultra way better than the badger patriot. My badger patriot shit the bed after 8 months of use when the teflon bearing in the chassy swelled up and ended up in bits and i only used ipa’s to clean it too. Where as the evolution is easier to dismantle and put back together. Cleaning it is a breeze too and had zero problems when spraying out varnishes the atimization was more consistent and the trigger let me be more precise. In addition the evolution can eject the needle from the front unlike the patriot whose needle has a rubber ball in the end but you can nip it off though letting you do the same.

    ty for the video. I have 2 questions: Do u use a respirator when painting with the airbrush? and also when using cement glue?

    • @StaticModel
      @StaticModel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is really good question. This big probablem is often overlooked. Every time I spray or glue I wear 3M respirator with proper filters for chemical and physical elements.

    • @user-ro1cs5hp5e
      @user-ro1cs5hp5e 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StaticModel thanks for ur answer. So that is what I was afraid of. Not sure if using an airbrush is worth it Like the airbrush kit is already expensive but then the respirator, I thought the technology had evolved substantially to the point of not needing a respirator. And I know certain people would tell me they don't use a respirator but in the long term, it must be better as u pointed. So thanks again

    • @StaticModel
      @StaticModel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@user-ro1cs5hp5e airbrushing is really old technology, and doesn't look like it's getting any drastic innovations in near future. We have decent and affordable kits, spray boots... Can't really do much about paint.. Even non toxic and nature friendly paint generate dust, and you must protect your lungs against it. I don't think there is a way of turning paint into a aerosol without generating dust

    how often should you clean your brush like this?

    • @StaticModel
      @StaticModel  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You should clean before long term storage, so usually after you finished working with your project. Also when you start feeling a difference in performance it would be a good idea to do deep clean.

    So put a thinner on the feed and spray it out thru the pot when changing colors? Is that the purpose of the pot?

    • @StaticModel

      Pot is simply a container for a "waste". It has filter so when you spray into it, toxic aerosol won't be floating across your work place.
