Wow remember in the 2000s and 2010s when we started getting first person footage (often on grainy camera phones) of firefights in Afghanistan and Iraq? We thought they were intense but they were merely pew-pew short and sharp ambushes once in a while. No disrespect to anyone who was there but this is proper warfare on another level! This is all-out modern nightmarish war where you are up against an enemy with the same weapons... but more of them - being the underdog somewhat and constantly observed and under 360degs attack from all weapons including drones. I think we forget sometimes about what we are seeing..desensitised now. But that thought just struck me about seeing the Afghan footage back in the 2000s and 2010s (some of which is still on TH-cam) really made contrast of what these guys - on both sides - are going through. Hellish.
War is chaos bro, the winner will be the ones who can manage the chaos most efficiently , why try to fight your way through 10 miles of mines when you can just go to a place where the enemy is not and not prepared . . . .

The Carrier infront of us was hit the worst and one of those Comrades walked out in the Smoke and during the Shock, missing half his left Hand and hit with Shrapnels. What did he do? He went out the Car in the Chaos and first thing he did was light up a Cigarette and yell at us "You Guys alright? Haha" Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
In a way, I'm happy my "normal" everyday trade can be useful for a wartime country without having to be on the front. I can do logistics with joy, but man, what these guys are doing is insane.
Based on first hand stories I heard from the Homeland War in Croatia, it's typically those who don't think they have it in them that turn out to be the most incredible men and true warriors.
I think we never really know what we are cut for, until we get there. Don´t want to compare my experience to the hell these boys went through but I got myself into some intense fucked up things and it´s weird, your brain just takes over a little and you go and do stuff. Because of the nature of modern warfare with drones and types of cameras used, especially thermal imaging…to be an infantryman now, or part of any ground force is an absolute death sentence.
Despite that there are still tactical maneuvering that may help them strategically, instead of blindly charging with hundreds and thousands of men to the frontline mowed down by machine guns

@@InkenjoyahhhhhhhhhhhI would assume that is not easily summarized. It's not like some holiday trip and there are multiple phases to every deployment. Most people I know (German Military) who were in the Balkans during the war time there (especially Kosovo 1999) would use the adjectives "confusing", "chaotic" and "frustrating" a lot. Imagine the most abhorrent atrocities committed around you 24/7 and the maxim of command being "Don't intervene!"
Just a question for you, and no disrespect intended. Do you even know the reasons behind the endless slaughter?? Not the broadcasted narrative shoved down our throats.. what do you think the motives are ?? Is this way deeper than most could fathom?? Seems to me that there is a ton of shit happening there, and they send money from the working class there like that is the fn United States.. all while we have massive problems here that they could care less about!!!
You know it's legit when the action on the ground is seamless, continuous, and consistent, even as the video cuts and transitions between the perspectives of the various teams and their individual FPVs; and the overhead ISR platform.
First 5 minutes talking about the great planning then the medic says “due to the success of the mission a week prior we went to the same exact spot with the same plan” ??
I got the soft indication that the resistance was not expected, intel must have led them to believe this wouldn't be an area defensively adapted to. The threat of mines in unknown paths may also have been a critical decision.

Im amazed of these soldiers who volunteer service in another country war. I think HQ's decision to make these documentary videos without bleeps or blurring is badass, too, when 9 of 10 channels are overdoing censorship, afraid of TH-cam backlash. The truth, the real truth about historical moments should never be concerned with censorship.
So brave! Well said, ''don't panic'', panic kills. It's the same in any emergency profession. If saving a life will endager your own life, then you sometimes have to make a tough decision. As an ex-soldier, lifeguard and medic, your own life comes first. We don't leave anybody behind may be good for the movies, but in reality, you would never win a battle if you stopped for every casualty. You would get bogged down and torn to pieces by drones, arty etc... If the medics can't evac then you can go back for your mates once the battle is won (if possible). Slava Ukraine!
That’s pretty intense and very well put together. And it’s interesting to see experienced warriors fighting someone other than people in sandals. Glad everyone got out of there and stay safe. Good warriors here 🤝🏻 But fuck the war, needs to end!
This footage hit me more than most. Maybe more than any before I’m not sure why. It places you inside this war in a very unique way. The sound. The blood. The reality of the thing. . As a diligent student of this life, of this world, and those few who control it, I see it in two ways. . Here are the bravest men on this earth, by far, killing each other over lines in the sand. Brothers killing brothers over false belief systems. Believing somehow we are not the same. Brothers. Coming from the very same Father God we are of the same exact blood. It is the darkness itself that has us killing ourselves. We must wake up to the true enemy, the fact we are being manipulated for control and dishonorable wealth. . And here is the other hand. Call it the hand of God. Here are the bravest and finest on earth by far. Here are men, real men, ready and willing to die for each other. Forget who rules and who does not. Here are men, eternal warriors, eager to shed each other’s blood for the honor and glory of battle. . And so I am invigorated and profoundly saddened at the same time. Father says, “don’t feel sorry for the lion who is killed by other lions. Be sorry for the sheep who are slaughtered by wolves.” . Steven
Honestly as someone who consumes alot of war content especially on this war, I must say this is one of thee if not thee best one showing us details we could only dream of having for other wars in history.

Hellish.
They were super uncensored back then as well, all unedited and raw. I don't know where to find them anymore as they used to be here in TH-cam.

@@maartent9697doesn’t mean what they’re doing is “correct”. They are risking becoming a casualty and liability to their teammates themselves.
I believe the gallows humor that these soldiers referred to often is essential for their emotional/psychological armor. War kills on many levels.
It is. It took me quite the time after Bosnia and Kosovo to readjust to what civilian humor looks like.
These aren't soldiers. Just war tourists and LARPerators playing out their dream scenario of going to war. IF they get home, then they're going to play out this "I fought the Russians..." scenario when they go to bar, sitting, looking at their class of light beer, hoping to draw attention. Especially But who is really going to care? Nobody.
Gallows humor is pretty typical for military servicemen, regardless of branch or nation served.
It’s a quality highly regarded in recruitment circles for the ability to deal with the horror of war
It is! During my 2nd Tour in Afghanistan in 2011 with the Bundeswehr (23rd Gebirgsjägerbrigade) we were hit by a Roadside IED.
Haha"

There's always support/ auxiliary roles mate
In a way, I'm happy my "normal" everyday trade can be useful for a wartime country without having to be on the front. I can do logistics with joy, but man, what these guys are doing is insane.
Based on first hand stories I heard from the Homeland War in Croatia, it's typically those who don't think they have it in them that turn out to be the most incredible men and true warriors.
I think we never really know what we are cut for, until we get there. Don´t want to compare my experience to the hell these boys went through but I got myself into some intense fucked up things and it´s weird, your brain just takes over a little and you go and do stuff. I can somewhat relate to the older guy who said he is anxious before and when shit hits the fan he gets calm. I am like that and when it´s over, I mentally collapse for a minute, get it out and move on. So you never know what´s actually in you sometimes.

Because of the nature of modern warfare with drones and types of cameras used, especially thermal imaging…to be an infantryman now, or part of any ground force is an absolute death sentence.
And yet they survive

@@InkenjoyahhhhhhhhhhhI would assume that is not easily summarized. It's not like some holiday trip and there are multiple phases to every deployment.
Most people I know (German Military) who were in the Balkans during the war time there (especially Kosovo 1999) would use the adjectives "confusing", "chaotic" and "frustrating" a lot. Imagine the most abhorrent atrocities committed around you 24/7 and the maxim of command being "Don't intervene!"
Yes this is a fight against a military and not civilians that had their country invaded by the you guys, like in Iraq
Mad respect for men on both sides regardless of politics. To walk around with that gear alone is no small task, talkless of fighting
Yep, agreed. Unfortunately youre about to get a wave of "rUzZiAn bOtTt!" comments
This is the comment I was looking for they basically walked into a ambush
Noticed that... Maybe not use the exact same plan....
I got the soft indication that the resistance was not expected, intel must have led them to believe this wouldn't be an area defensively adapted to. The threat of mines in unknown paths may also have been a critical decision.

Im amazed of these soldiers who volunteer service in another country war. The truth, the real truth about historical moments should never be concerned with censorship.
Rite on Davo!! Your the man! Aussie legend! Much love from your home country mate!
Good warriors here 🤝🏻

Comfy capture the flag is your name?
Be sorry for the sheep who are slaughtered by wolves.”
.
