Yes 2 8 round , they fed great . God only knows why , the slide was not locking back on the last round. Sorry to say . I think I am calling Dan Wesson this week and its going back.. Customer service is great so not concerned. Just the point , something is up . Over 600 rounds threw it . It should be good by now. thanks for asking . will let you know the out come.

I use to own one years ago and I did like it but like I said - switch out the full length rod. The only time I would use a full length guide rod is for a 1911 that has a 4" barrel.
I love them both quite a bit. i have the e series with the round butt, very nice light carry gun. the MC operator is fantastic too, good tolerances and damned accurate. If i had the money right now though one of my local gun shops has a full sized Dan Wesson 10mm 1911 and that would totally be my next gun. but alas it's out of my reach for the moment.
Why do you respect Ken Hackathorn so much? You said you do but not why. What was it about this gu.n...his signature gun...that made you want one? Over the many others? Why not a Dan Wesson? Why not a Springfield Armory Custom or standard 1911??

I don't think HE takes his guns to the gunsmith to be cleaned. I think someone in HIS inner circle is given that responsibility, to actually take the gun to the gunsmith. I know HE has people who do nothing but load magazines.

Forgetting the Vickers Mags is a "glass half full" situation: it creates an opportunity for another range day w/the Wilson!

There is a range I do go to that has both indoor and outdoor but I can't record video there. But I'm very impressed with this Wilson.

One of these days i'll have a wilson combat. for now i'll have to settle for my smith e series and my springfiled mc operator.

Friend of mine actually donated a case to me and I believe he ordered it from MidwayUSA however the local Cabela's also carries it.
