Clapton, every solo is different, even from the same song. Master of improvisation.

a lot of people say Clapton was washed out and doesn't deserve his spot on the top 3 but his ability to stay relevant throughout the generations, and his unmistakable ability to improvise is unmatched when considering that it is never out of place, never an accidental moment of silence it is always fitting right in where it needs to and that's what makes him so great.

I disagree, he is not in the top 3, he is the top 1 for sure, I've never seen any guitarist improvise with such freedom and feeling, the only one that in my opinion could be compared to this level is Gary Moore, who said that there are many good guitarists, but Eric Clapton transcended!

I used to think EC was irrelevant when I was a kid learning guitar. The more I’ve learnt about music and guitar playing, the more relevant and better he gets. I’ve finally learnt enough to appreciate his music.

    • @DaveyKrechtner

+Ryan Hall Agree. EC has been playing the same solo live on stage for just about every song (consisting of the same trills and double stops) for 25+ years, however this one was actually different, melodic and a little more in keeping with the actual song!

i understand youre point. you can be right. lets think for a drummer to play very very very easy with the point that you have much skills. at a concert like this. you can't hit anything because it don't sounds by this number. i will see youre beaver head when you are playing with this how would you looks like? see that i am wrong
