Hi, the snooper also pick up the signals of automatic doors which is the same frequency a some fixed speed camera, it is brilliant for laser detection up to two miles a head but useless on average speed camera just keep an eye and slow down when you get a warning it's always better than having points and fines, thanks for the video
Unfortunately the age of the radar detector is dead 😒. I own several various Snoopers. The trouble is newer cars with radar anti collision tech....set off the detector. That's why you're getting a sudden burst, out of nowhere, then decreases. Snooper have now stopped making them and sold out to Cobra. GPS database is the only way forward, with community reporting....something like "Saphe". Thank you for the video.
If you aren't using to detect police vehicals, only speed cameras, then wouldn't a speed camera app be better? I use Radarbot for speed cameras (fixed and average). Sometimes use waze maps which does the same thing. I want to detect police cars and figured I'd need a detector like the ones discussed in this video.
Yes! I own the SD715iS and it's exactly the same. Your best bet is using it when you're having an overnight drive. That'll be the best way to test it:) It's a shame we can't use these funky items anymore.
Hi mate. Most of the false al arms are caused by the radar detectors on top of traffic lights. I dont think its anything to do with the shop lifting tagging systems in shop door ways. I could be wrong though iam happy to be corrected. Cheers
All I want is a sat nav like Waze with mobile cameras live so it stays on at all times. I don't like touching phone when call comes in to get the driving screen back. Is there a sat nav that does this? Waze is updated by users and it's like flashing your lights to warn other drivers.
If you want to do the job right the only way is to have stinger installed... that thing is the business. They have a new model now at a lesser price so pretty good value. The stinger is the pinnacle of detectors, these boys even block the laser gun if desired. Discretion and high tech.. not everyone’s cup of T due to the price but nothing will ever beat it.
The cobra picks up shops and mobile traffic lights, good for motorway or in country side it has picked up speed cameras and traps but forever going off , honest I wouldn’t bother with old radar detectors to many things working on same signal , eg shop alarm systems fitted in doorways Road angel some say it does some say it doesn’t in my opinion the road angel did pick mobile camera van up as for the price for subscription it’s expensive distance 500 to 700 yards just enough time to reduce speed , my wife loves it due to it warns when she is gone over the speed limit and black spot warning hope this helps you
I just use my tom Tom with speed camera alerts built in and it picks up on all speed zones and static cameras and 90% of mobile speed camera vans, occasionally I've reported vans/police to Tom tom.
@@DazPreston69 The biggest problem is sometimes carelessness sneaking over the limit without realising or just not taking enough notice. Got caught a few years ago, strange how it's made me a bit paranoid about mainly mobile speed cameras. 😂

Shop doors the security ones for shop lifters set them off too

Waze says warning hidden police and is free all i hear is noise from the snooper and I want to listen to my stereo not some false alarm bleep crap
