Why haven't more tenors covered this fantastic, romantic, lovely song? It should be in every repertoire along with "People Will Say We're In Love." I adore Julian, but why does he cut off the end of his phrasing, it doesn't show off his marvelous voice. He's too restrained here
@@ItsWayMoreThanMusic no - I mean his phrasing. When he sings, he doesn't hold the note very long. Given that he doesn't do that in other songs, I assume it was a creative choice but I think it doesn't do justice either to his voice or the song
No it isn't. I can hear every note and every word. He is over-singing slightly, but there is no balance issue. Just a cut final chord for no apparent reason.
Julian Ovenden is enormously talented 🤩
What a wonderful voice! Gave me the chills
He was a great addition to Downton Abbey :)
Very talented chap. Singer and actor combined. A rare combination.
A voice to die for amazing singer love this guy .
What a great Voice!!! And he sings with such enthusiasm. You can tell he enjoys what he does. I can not hear him enough!
I love his voice
I adore him ❤️
Thank you for posting.
As do I
What a handsome chap.
Mon hero musicale, Julian …. And he looks just like my handsome Irish/ Yorkshire dad. Bring it on Mr O.
He is very good looking.
He was also Andrew Foyle in the magnificent series FOYLE'S WAR!
I so miss Foyle s war
Beautiful voice! So handsome and magnetic!
He sure is handsome
He's a true pro... just great
If a singer was ever born to sing a song...Julian didn't disappoint either
Julian FANTASTIC Beautiful
Wow x
Great Talent and Masterful Line!
"Let the time go by; I won't terrify.... knowing I'm on the street where you live..."
I don't care if I
@@aussiehorndog Yes, I know! I was making a humorous comment. If you listen to him at the end, it really does sound like he says 'I won't terrify.."
You cant beat this version
Very nice and without the non-musical loud flats that so many "singers" think theater audiences prefer.
Hermosa voz
Im in Love!!!
yes
That's Andrew Foyle! I always thought he had a Sinatra look to him in Foyle's War. Nice voice.
Sinatra? puke! puke! puke!
Oooh WOW! Recognized him as the son of Inspector Gently, never knew he's such a singing talent!
He’s great.
Unpopular opinion, she should have chosen Freddie. He was enamored with the things that made her, her.
Sierra!!!❤❤❤
What a wonderful discovery! Any chance of an Australian tour?
Barring his gift as excellent singer, his looks and masculinity would qualify him as new JAMES BOND.
musical theatre is your future! - ditch acting
Who put together this lovefest video..Julian himself?

huh? thousands have people have recorded it ... where've you been?
Seems the orchestra is too loud--arrangement could be better.
jrwxtx The 'arrangement' sounds like the original Lerner & Loewe score to me. I don't find a balance problem either.
The end of the recording was cut too soon, is that what you mean?

He’s fantastic but I thought the orchestra was a little too fast and really overpowering!
Hey Juman, you should check my last video
I liked it so much.. Thank you for mentioning me 👏👏💖💖
@@jumanalexander9295 i love your channel,thank you
orchestra is overpowering his voice..it is too loud
I don't think it's the orchestra. For whatever reason he is singing in a restrained voice

Nice looking man with great voice but he's no me.
