Laptop Blinking, But Won't Turn ON!

- Here is an annoying computer issue. My HP laptop computer had a blinking power light, but when I press the power button it absolutely will not TURN ON! It does not.. It just continues to blink and blink and blink! Well here is a simple fix that sometimes works.. It worked on mine at least! Hope this helps!

once it works does it stay on? Just got two of these in both with the same issue.
It depends.. I now believe this issue is caused bay a bad solder joint on the mother board.. Running the computer while "charging the battery" actually heats up the circuits inside.. 1 of 2 things can happen: 1. It heats the circuit up enough to cause the bad solder joint to make good connection once again.. so it will boot.. but this is only a temporary solution or 2. It heats the solder joint up enough to re-flow the solder.. and this could be a permanent fix?? Either way... it is time to back up your important data for sure..

I'm on desktop and similar symptom. Power LED blinking rapidly, but no boot, no BIOS. Your power button is actually responsive. Mine ignores me. 😢

You said that fan is not the non start issue. Well, You might be wrong because most of the laptops will not turn on if the CPU fan is not connected. So if the fan in Your laptop is connected and You see alert about fan, just replace it. Propably it will solve Your problem.
It would give me a warning about the fan.. but it allows me to by pass, and start the computer anyway.. This is definitely a new issue! This computer has so many problems!

Does the memory test good ?
Does the hard drive test good ?
Does it turn on better when it is cold.
Does the CPU heat sink compound need to be replaced because it is dried out ?
Does the BIOS have a battery reconditioning mode ?
Not sure, But it looks like the hard drive just want bad! That on top of the fact that the cooling fan is no longer working.. could mean that I need to get a new laptop!

Yo tengo una laptop renovo idepad s410p y lo que hize fue abrirla por dentras nomás la tapa, saque la pila por más de 10 segundos, saque ma memoria ram y la limpie y pues así se soluciono, espero les ayude no hice nada más.
Now my G1 is on, but only in the sense the fans are running and the indicators are now constant, but the caps lock and num lock lights are blinking

The permanent solution.. is probably to buy a new computer??.. This most likely is a hardware issue?.. but sometimes these tricks can get the computer up an running enough, so you can recover your pictures and data.. Best of luck! Thanks for the great comments!

i just played game battery procent was low, and after moments it turned off and when i plug in the charger and trying to to turn on, it starts to blink 5 times blue
replace your charger, I had a similar problem like this and replacing the charger did the job

@@jaynesnetwork mine turns on the keyboard fine but the screen stays black with no charger plugged in BUT when I plug in the charger and press power button my keyboard starts blinking and turns off by itself after 10 seconds and screen still stays black (also I can’t hear the fan inside)
