I have been doing the rounds with KC turbos on my 7.3 and honestly I haven't had the best results for my application. The Gtp38r with .84ar housing is truly the best turbo for the ZF6 7.3powerstroke. Garrett got it right making 40psi and you wont find a turbo that whistles as loud and sounds like a semi truck turbo. I had to go try all the KC turbos to find out they are only good for high top end horsepower but are very laggy down low which is not good for towing.
The mounting is different, along with not enough room for the wastegate actuator. If you are looking for a drop in upgrade, I would look into a KC Turbo. Depending on the size of injector you are using, they make a Stage 1, 2, or 3. Shoot us a call and we can get something spec'd out for you.

Does it come with the outlet or do you need to swap it over from your old turbo?
Does it add more power and more boost?
Would the stock tp38 .84ar turbine housing fit on the gtp 38r
