In the long term, the increased interest in collector variants is actually fantastic for people that just want to play the game. As magic collectors and investors get more comfortable with seeing different printings at different prices, game piece pritnings become more acceptable. We'll never see pokemon levels of price disparity though.

I bought a bunch of the bundles once they said there were box toppers in them. Those things are gonna be like gold.

I think the finish line bundle will hold value and maybe settle around $100-$115 range after all the hype dies off with the next few sets this year.

You are right around where I’m thinking - I’m a little higher because I’m high on the box toppers.

Those zombie commander decks are currently marked up. They are for sure going to do a second wave of them; that may actually be the best time to pick up singles when new supply enters the mkt on an already doubled up float size relative to a standard 4 deck release. Something like Hashaton could go from a prerelease $18 down into the sub $4 range ( unlike standard cards edh demand is limited to 1 per deck and a multicolored creature tends to be a bit more narrow ).

Box toppers probably didn’t hurt either. Playbooster is almost the same cost as the finish line bundle but you get substantially more packs and a box topper.

I picked up a finish line bundle and zombie commander deck on Amazon. The price was just better than I could find elsewhere. Normally I just do collectors boosters but the price ia just too high.

None. Buy singles. Buy reserved list singles or risk the flood of reprints tanking any value you think you have.

Interesting. But it doesnt suprise me. Most men do like cars. So its smart move they made. But the price is shamefull. It hase 6 packs less and the box go up the same price........ Thats not oke. If we accept this maybe they are going to scap even more packs.....:(

I hear what you’re saying but I do think the play box ends up being cheaper because of the fewer packs when compared to Bloom/Dusk

The zombie deck is looking like it's going to do well. I'd definitely expect it to get a reprint. Although if Bloomburrow is anything to go by, then it's likely to be a long time before that happens. The "first place" boxes are an odd case, but they're probably going to do well and collector's packs are definitely for the Timmies. The play boosters are the only thing I think won't do well. This set isn't great overall and the reduced number of packs aren't doing it any favors.
