    Fantastic. You have a wonderful teaching style. Many thanks. I was wondering why the glacier names have "ll" at the end but when you say you want to see a glacier, the word ends in a single "l". Is that because it's in the accusative case (where the glacier is now the direct object)? Takk fyrir!
    Also, it's fascinating to see how words are linked together, so hiking is like saying walk travel. I wonder if ferðir is where English words like "further" come from.

      Yes this is exactly the reason, it is the different cases:
      Jökull / Jökul / Jökli / Jökuls.
      Accusative/Genetive don't have the LL sound, and the dative has a kl combo, which sounds a bit like k-LL... I know it's not easy 😅
      I have no idea if ferðir is related to further, but it very well could be!

    Interesting I Lost my teeth in a bike crash i have a real hard time with any Scandinavian language also Spanish i want my teeth back !great videos i find your channel with pimsleur works well i plan to get Disney+ so I can watch familiar movies in icelandic i think they finally have done so.

    In my opinion, many people have problems with Eyjafjallajökull because they don't understand that it's a compound word with three parts.
