Oh, I would love to see Alam Khan play with Derek. His father Ustad Ali Akbar Khan is a huge influence on Derek's style and tone. "His distinctive slide guitar style is very, very similar to what Indian classical musicians call the gayaki ang, or imitating the human voice. The Indian classical connection is real because Derek learned the sarod briefly from the late maestro Ali Akbar Khan." His passion for Indian classical music is priceless. www.rediff.com/news/report/derek-trucks-tribute-to-ustad-ali-akbar-khan/20090620.htm
She wakes up in the morning To a kettle on the stove Peeling wallpaper House next to a dusty road She prays, "Oh Lord Don't let these walls fall down" 'Cause she's got no money But she works like hell She loved him like a lady Never did her too well She prays, "Oh Lord Don't let these walls fall down" 'Cause it's been so damn hard Since her man left town Says, "I've been thinking I've been thinking I've been thinking 'bout you, baby For such a long, long time" Now she can't help but wonder On those rainy Saturdays Where he is and where he's been Is another trapped in his haze? She prays, "Oh Lord Don't let these walls fall down" She's not lonely And she's learned to get along But how many years will it take Before he is really gone? She prays, "Oh Lord Don't let these walls fall down" 'Cause it's been so damn hard Since her man left town Says, "I've been thinking I've been thinking I've been thinking 'bout you, baby For such a long, long time" Says, "I've been thinking I've been thinking I've been thinking 'bout you, baby For such a long, long time" Yes, "I've been thinking I've been thinking I've been thinking 'bout you, baby For such a long, long time"
This has been included as an official release "Live From The Fox Oakland". The CD has the version from 9/9/2016 but the BluRay includes an amazingly beautiful video from the previous night, 9/8/2016. Always support the artists and their families. Go to the show, buy their music and merchandise.
blueledboy I got mine...2 CD and one DVD. Unbelievable...and the more I listen..the more i just can't get enough of that sound. Thank you for this bleu led
I often see her compared to Bonnie Raitt but I just don’t agree. Sure, she has that raspiness and bluesiness, but she blows Bonnie Raitt out of the water. Susan Tedeschi has a clarity and resonance and finesse to her voice that is so beautiful. She’s amazing.
Hello. Is there a way for me to contact you audio engineer? I have a show coming up with Alam Khan. I am new to the Sarod. In this video it appears that Mr. Khan may have a pickup in his Sarod, but I see no cables or microphones. So I would like to discuss the Sarod and reinforcement strategies with your audio engineer, if possible. Thank you.

wow, amazing, that means you know exactly what I am talking about. Keep on playing my friend.
She wakes up in the morning
To a kettle on the stove
Peeling wallpaper
House next to a dusty road
She prays, "Oh Lord
Don't let these walls fall down"
'Cause she's got no money
But she works like hell
She loved him like a lady
Never did her too well
She prays, "Oh Lord
Don't let these walls fall down"
'Cause it's been so damn hard
Since her man left town
Says, "I've been thinking
I've been thinking
I've been thinking 'bout you, baby
For such a long, long time"
Now she can't help but wonder
On those rainy Saturdays
Where he is and where he's been
Is another trapped in his haze?
She prays, "Oh Lord
Don't let these walls fall down"
She's not lonely
And she's learned to get along
But how many years will it take
Before he is really gone?
She prays, "Oh Lord
Don't let these walls fall down"
'Cause it's been so damn hard
Since her man left town
Says, "I've been thinking
I've been thinking
I've been thinking 'bout you, baby
For such a long, long time"
Says, "I've been thinking
I've been thinking
I've been thinking 'bout you, baby
For such a long, long time"
Yes, "I've been thinking
I've been thinking
I've been thinking 'bout you, baby
For such a long, long time"
Next Gen Bonnie Raitt - and some extraordinary new sounds - MUCH NEEDED.
Wow! Incredibly talented musicians doing a beautiful song. How does it get better than this?

blueledboy agree I prefer the bonus track of these walls to the one in middle of the DVD but they are both magical

As far as beautiful voices I put her up the with Patsy Cline and Etta James. That's just my opinion.
Exquisite...
