As long as the engine and drive train is fine that would be a great candidate for a restoration. You are a top man with the welding torch and the interiors!

My first car in 1984 was a 76 Malibu. Same color with a tan vinyl roof with big triangle side rear window. 5.0 v8. Brings back great memories. Thanks for sharing.
Your channel just came up on my youtube, Im the caretaker of an original 77 Omega that is sweet, I see from your intro that we share similar taste in cars, I have liked and subscribed!!
sir,i had a 77 malibu classic, dual exaust, alpine stereo system, just stock 305 2 barrel carb,i sold it when i had 178,000 miles,it still ran good, front quarters were rust free but rear quarters rusted out into the trunk, realy nice reliable car
Had one! And the project it was. Had a lot of rust issues that we fixed but the best part was the 400 small block 400 turbo and 10 bolt positive rear end we put in it it run good then we lost interest. Love that body style though. Mine was the same color in fact
I think Arts car could be used for the parts , lets say take the interior out , knobs , everything usable , in my belief a car can be body swapped , but the parts can stay sentimental .
Love them all cars you work on and the way you do it don't know about Jack in the back end up but that was popular back in the 60s 70s the cars look good and you help me a lot thank you for sending you videos and please continue
My grandfather bought 1977 malibu classic new off the lot and drove it for 40 years his was green on green 2 door with a 305, I miss that car and I have alot of great memories when I see these cars today, I'd love to find a decent one but there hard to find
Value wise I think they are about the same. I love these colonnade cars. I had a 75 and a 76. Great drivers. I also learned to drive on a 77 Malibu Classic wagon with the 350. Firethorn red metallic. The values of these have come up some but are not so expensive like the earlier car.
Think you got a runner Lee. I think the other guy would be miles ahead buying this from you. But, if not I would spend a few hundred and flip this Classic. There’s nothing you can’t do. Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year! 🎆
That window crank was in the original build clocking. That old and someone usually gets it out of clocking. Just saying. Someone took care of her🗿 Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank god the late 70s malibus are getting some love. Trying to build mine is like throwing darts in the dark, there is just a slight hair of aftermarket/ old stock out there for these cars
Sad about that trunk floor. But it's definitely something worthy of not being parted patch that floor work your magic seller. I liked all your comments tank around with that little bit put some lipstick on her let her go LOL love watching your show.
That is not rough I'm from the Midwest Wisconsin and believe me that is not rough plus it's a 1977 that's in great shape that is definitely not rough I've seen some rough ones out here in Wisconsin but that one is not rough. Not sure where you're at but that is not rough, nice looking car great buy..
It's rough for down here in Texas but more so because the time and money needed to restore it outweighs the value of the car. It's a tough/rough choice to make.
My '74 had headlight buckets from a '77 on it when I got it. I didn't like the look,so I found '74 headlight buckets and slapped those in. Looks a whole lot better. And as far as Art goes,I'll be surprised if he does anything further with his car. Women, kids and casinos are some of the main things that keep guys from building ol schools. No live in woman around my camp and I don't gamble. And the kids are grown and gone. All I do is work, buy parts and build with no interference. Living my best life✌️🤙
Pretty nice car! in michigan that's a 6000 car, depending on your area.. These have skyrocketed in pricing as of the last few years. worth saving. I'm looking for a 75 LeMans Sport coupe. not much luck so far. I've got a 79 LeMans.
Such a nice looking car. I know its yours and you are going to do what you want, but I hope to return it to stock and paint it the original gold color.

New subscriber. You’re easy to listen to. Keep the videos coming. Put some Laguna S-3 swivel seats and center console in it and paint it the original color. $7,500.
$1,000 bucks nice deal just for the drivetrain alone, them 305's purr like a kitten. I'd park it for now and focus on the Nomad. Maybe Art will show up someday after he hits it big at the casino. 😁✌
I just stumbled across your channel and I wouldn't hack that car up she's in to good of condition and very savable, as for your friend I would tell him Shit or get off the Pot about his car and quit being lazy. Have a good day 👍
I'd use that Black chevelle as the parts car & swap it (Interior), wheels Etc. into the gold car.....& call the black one a loss after its stripped out...
I would say put Arts interior in the car you just got. What you could do that way is tell him you need at least half the money now. And if he doesn't pay you the other half, you would have the title to the vehicle to sell it. If Art don't want it. Throw buckets in like you say. Fix the rust around the rear windows and paint the top black like the El Camino and replace the door seals, and send it down the road.
I concur,I know the type, he likes the idea about being a classic car owner but when it comes right down to it he is not serious. If you sell it to him you will end up with two 77' chevelle's sitting for years.
I believe mostly it has to do with his rich lady. She is telling him that he can't have his junk at her place. He'll never do anything with this car and end up letting it rot or getting rid of it. He's not going to risk getting her mad.
U guys get some Kool cars , do you sell any of them .I like Laguna Chevelle cars . You call that rough nope! It's decent in my area.the one in back is worthy of fixing to . Chevelles Malibu are getting hard to find.
After 7-8 years it's obvious Art is not serious about ever going to get his car done. Yours on the other hand is a far better prospect and requires less work to make it worth anything.
I was pretty danged excited about this car until the end, when I saw the trunk floor..... ouch. That thing is roached. If a repair panel is even made for it, I'd guess you'd be looking at $400-$500 for the tin alone. :(
So it sounds like you Made your mind up and art is going to have a parts car witch is cool I like to see all classics back on the road just cause they are getting harder and harder to find but sounds like you're selling it to him. Then why in the he'll would you ask our opinion on it I would love to see what you could to to this car as a classic from your channel
Probably not worth it but this car would be more appealing if they had a better bumpers and grill conversion. Seems all makes struggled through the late 70s with their designs. Late 60s early 70s all car companies were on top of their game

That would be a fun one to fix up. I'd be stoked to see you do something with it on this channel.
The 77 could be awesome painted black with tinted windows, nice wheels/tires and flowmasters.
Nice original malibu needs the rally wheels and repaint
Its worth more in parts Lee. Spend your time on the better cars. That engine is a keeper.
Lee, I like it already. I like the door panels, power windows and the swivel buckets on the Black Malibu, it would be just right for the El Camino.
That is Arts car. Not going to rob parts from it.
