happy new year guys ♥️ hope you enjoy the penultimate episode before my 2024 wrap. if you’d drop a sub I’d appreciate it - gunna do a play and explain at 10k 🙏
i really feel like you are one of the best poker content creators, i dont understand how someone like you ben dont have more views you defenitly deserve more, great personality
appreciate the kind words mate! the channel is slowly growing but I think I need to be offering different forms of videos. I’ll be doing more of that it 2025 🙏
Personally, I think someone can either be a high stakes crusher, OR a TH-cam creator. They can't be both. Ill leave it open to interpretation as to the reaons behind that. But essentially it would take up too much time and give too much info away.
I’m surprised more creators don’t use your summary method to start their videos! It’s great to get an outline/preview of what’s ahead and the big spots of the session. Great videos!
Probably my favorite poker channel at this point, I'm a small fry content creator from a very niche game. Have you ever thought about making shorts and live streaming on TH-cam and Twitch? I've found both of these increased my viewers by a big margin. Keep up the great work.
thanks a lot mate! I don’t really want to stream as this gives a lot away about my strat, particularly in smaller pots/less common nodes. shorts is something I can consider though! do you make them??
@@BenaBadBeatPoker Makes sense! Yep, those are actually what gains me most amount of subs as TH-cam pushes them out hard right now. From what I understand that's what got Wolf gang poker to 1mil is cause he does so much short form content.
I love the KQo hand. Agree with your analysis in terms of their flop sizing and I also love exploitatively raising in these spots - that board would have to be close to a range check from OOP in theory? Or at least very polar? I feel like when the turn bricks I would probably just blast though because we just put their TT-JJ in a gross spot and deny equity from AQ/AK but as played I think your turn check completes your river jam narrative perfectly. Great video as always mate!
pretty polar yeah, but definitely a reasonable betting freq imo, prob at least 40%. could bet turn yeah but i really don't like having the cards i have for that. i also just expect people to shove flop with TT/JJ and certainly not fold it on the turn! thanks a lot bro
The A7ss hand is wild, I paused the river to try do some range analysis and come to a decisions and decided I was folding because the 7h turn prevents him bluffing the river so often because he has showdown so much v your range, had to of been a bluff
Your consistent optimism/positivity even when things are going terribly is appreciated. Love these videos, always learn a lot even though i only play mtts.
Watched a video of you coaching Nick at 25NL from almost 4 years ago while I was studying (transition from MTT pro to cash game) Went through all of the hands you coached him on through GTOwizard at the time and it was just crazy how every single hand you were finding the highest EV play. Would love to see some studying content from you (not sure you need it, but we definitely do 😅)
How strict is your game selection Ben? This was always the weakest element of my game because i was willing to play anyone and challenge myself. Learned a lot and improved my ability, but probably suffered a lot of opportunity cost because of it. I just can't believe you're not printing $$ given your poker mind so I'm wondering about this aspect?
Awesome question I’m a full time plo grinder and game selection was my biggest leak by a mile too. It’s wild how much more bb/100 and +ev you get from just moving around to better games hahs
@zacharyberry1478 PLO was my primary game for a long time (originally HUPLO and HUNL pre-black Friday) and I would say it's even more crucial in PLO to have game selection because there are absolutely games at 200PLO that I would be basically a break even rakeback pro at, and then there's games of 1000PLO that I could be printing more than any other game I play. It's also the case that card sharing/colusion/botting etc is much worse in PLO, especially ACR which is my primary online site rn. Shitty to have to consider that, but you do. I don't know if you play live, but at my casino, there's an uncapped $1/2/5 and uncapped $2/5/10 PLO. If you can beat like 100PLO online on ACR, Stars, GG, any of the big ones, you'd be in top 1% of the pool and could beat these games for $50/h and $75/h+ no question. They're that fishy. But these games run considerably bigger than other games of similar stake because they're uncapped.
my game section for the last 6 months has been very good imo. you’ll see in my vids I always have a good rec on most, if not all games. and with regard to the not printing, Im actually 2.5evbb on gg 1k and 2k this year pre rb haha. all my ‘losses’ came from ante and iggy (where im quite sure I was being cheated). I’ll cover all this next video
@ 16:00 i can't tell if it's more likely to be for value or as a bluff but I think A7 gets more value from hero-calling against missed draws and hands with minimal showdown turning themselves into bluffs than it either does from folding out better or getting called by worse. Maybe it's fine - i literally don't know - but I would need very specific game flow and player reads to do what villain did on the river here (so like in a live poker hand, maybe). Very strange. Like is he putting you on exactly 75ss or K7 of diamonds or something? I don't know what to make of this. But NH. I like how you played in this arrangement.
thanks for your feedback mate! the thing is that I don’t have 75s or K7 myself so it’s kinda insane to assume they can get called by a worse hand haha. that’s why I was considering that perhaps it was a bluff trying to make me fold like 99 while also blocking 77?! very weird
@BenaBadBeatPoker right because even 108s is a bit loose because you think you have a post flop edge in this configuration I assume. It's hard to reverse engineer a logic for the play but then again, I am always looking for more detailed thought process in hands for opponents that probably are impulsive or basing decisions on very specific lines of thinking that are erroneous, IDK.
yeah exactly regarding T8 being pretty much bottom of 3b range. you're right, sometimes it's easy to give opponents too much credit when the reality is that many are just clapping cymbals in their brains and thinking about lunch :D
bro i would like to know what you did throughout your poker carrer mostly ,when games die early for the day and you are done with the study session too.
How’s the volume on coinpoker 500nl or 200nl? haven’t played online for a while and I’m thinking of getting in the mix, don’t want to touch GG, but will play acr also if there’s not enough traffic to get 5-6 tables or so
I’m not sure about 200 as I don’t play there. but in my time zone 500 runs daily (between 0-6 tables) every day. I’d always recommend just having some money on multiple sites so you have plenty of options!
this year has actually not been any where near as bad as it looks. I think people are just not used to someone showing results so often lol. I’m up over 100k this year. will release full results and 2024 breakdown in a week!
raise size on 886 looks like 33%, which is the preferred sizing in this exact spot in PLO. useless information will continue to be supplied for the rest of 2025. GLGL!
Love the vids man, constant reminder of what a comparatively low level I’m thinking on when I play. Signed up to coin using your code, site is pretty good so far. Lots of very very weird stuff you’ll never see at ACR, which is great to see. Yesterday at 50NL there was a guy going all-in every hand. I lost a stack to him after flopping top pair and he went runner-runner 2 pair with Q4o (lol), then he left the table and literally 2 shuffles later I got a walk with AA 😭
appreciate the kind words mate! lmaooo that game seems pretty juicy. also if you want to get into the home game I run just drop me a message on discord
That 6x pot call with A5 w as super special 😂 even if hes bluffing with the 2 combos q10 clubs and 910 of clubs he deserves it , the rest of his hands are 2 pairs plus , its a clear fold not even worth putting in a solver, even vs a mega whale this is a horrid call as we saw he shoved 6x pot with 2 pair and owned your soul 😂 the 8s hand i loved how u played it absolutely impossible to put u on quads
@@BenaBadBeatPoker Well, like you said it's a super special guy. I would never fold your hand there after your description of him. I'm not jumping in joy tho..
@BenaBadBeatPoker results oriented is a made up word in poker it doesn't exist as without results and stats there's no strategy or solvers so your literally talking dribble, results oriented is not a thing with poker it's made up like solvers are , solvers are a program created by a computer and solved by a computer telling you what a computer would do. Hence why your still playing low stakes and can't get to high stakes , exploiting opponents with a solid strategy will get you to high stakes, solvers won't. The best cash players on earth have never used a solver or the words " results oriented " that's what bad players use as a validation that there not bad and that the solver said there play is good. If your a footballer and a pundit says your good does that mean the manager plays you in the 1st team ? 😂 exactly it's the same exact scenario

How many tables do you typically play at one time?
between 2-10! all depends how good the tables are
