I’d say the biggest problem with most races “down in B” which is where I seem to be doomed to remain, is the consistency of bad driving standards. Many drivers at this level don’t care if they make a mess of someone else’s race because they’re “just playing a game” or whatever. So every second or third race you end up being someone’s mobile tyre barrier. It’s very much a process of two steps forward one step back trying to advance through B rating without being a dirty driver yourself.
LMAO! You killed me with the "who's gonna brake late?" at the start because in B-tier-- it's literally everyone. I started playing sport mode a month ago, working my way up through B right now, and every time there's a hard braking zone immediately at the start of the race it's guaranteed chaos. I've been calling it "pole and pray," meaning if I get pole I pretty much have to pray someone doesn't ram into me. Starting further back is a decent strategy in B-tier. Thanks for the video!
Yes, he is quicker, so he also can make remarks. Some commentary are definitively more helpful, like to release the break at T1. With more of that I can see potential in these format for slower drivers. Maybe even more than a lap guide. You can also learn from racing against a faster player, what is impossible for most with available ghosts. Also: its a lot of fun, I recently made a C account to race from the back.. usually I go to pit or wait, to leave the win to a true player and not be ranked higher.
I've almost maxed the B group DR. I jumped on Watkins Glenn think it was last week. I've got a very fast qualifying lap, figured I'd be starting first no matter who's in the group. Think I was 997 in the world. Started in P10, it took everything I had to keep P9, only cause one guy got a pen. The rest of the field left me like I was sitting still. It's BS when these guys that are well within the Top 50 in the world decide to start a new account so they can start from the back of the pack and destroy all the guys trying to get better. I'd be ashamed of myself if I was a world class driver beating up on the lower classes. Set no qualifying time cause that'll bump you up to the group you're supposed to be driving against. I enjoy watching your content and have gotten a ton of racecraft tips from you thats greatly impacted my times and racing as a whole. But, this is not fun to watch. It's discouraging to figure out why I'm getting my arse handed to me on ttacks im normally fighting for top spots then all the sudden you cant even see P10.

Had to put a down tick on this video. An A+ driver beats B's? Just like B's beating D's, its expected. And as a struggling B driver its hard enough already without A+ drivers finding their own level too hard and using an alt account to make it easier. perhaps all the other drivers in that race doesn't have 8hours per day to dedicate to that game! Plus they might not have all the top sim gears... that is a bit pointless to brag about it.
Good video, i never forget when i stayed in B class. The most differnece is in B and A or A+ class , how the Better class didn’t wanna win race in the first Corner! But sometimes so many idiot driver example from Spain…
The racing in GT7 is absurd. So many dirty drivers. You can't get through a race without someone punting you or trying to punt you off the track. So bad that I'm going to soon buy a pc and switching to IRacing I hopes that at the very least it's not as bad. Right now the racing is out of control. Maybe for guys like you that are typically in A+ you don't see it quite as much. But being in lower level class shouldn't equate to more dirty drivers. I mean DIRTY. Like if you come out of a corner and get a better exit. As you start to pass on the straight they just run into you until you're off track. Turning into you deliberately and repeatedly. It's endlessly frustrating.
I'm A rated driver and will still get drivers that like to use your car to get around the bends while pushing you off track, especially on the first lap, thinking its the last lap, but at least every one will brake at turn 1 and not drive cars off track, nothing worse
@gercoffey9873 That just doesn't make sense. This kind of thing should simply be penalized to a point that it's not worth it. If you want to drive like that do it in the game against the a.i. Polyphony should fix this. But it seems they never will since it's been this way for so long. I'm just now discovering all of this I only recently started sim racing. I didn't realize it was this bad in GT. I've brought this up in a few forums and it seems the solution is to get on IRacing. Just so frustrating that PS and Gt don't see this a major problem. So as to give updates that penalize drivers up to full bans from the game. Let people race. Let people enjoy the racing. Not fear the drivers when you get pushed off track and then YOU get the penalty!
@edwinlomonaco6754 it's diffently not as bad as it was, just some times ya get the bad driver, but it's probably a bigger problem in lower lobbies, does improve but not totally in A rated, I would love to try Iracing, but for now the aim is to get a rig and wheel

@@nathanacuna The final chicane turns are tight you need to make sure to only apply 30% or 40% brake force any more will kick in the abs into overdrive and understeer. Some people also recommend 1st gear and straight to 3rd but I use 1st and short shift to 2nd and be smooth on the throttle.
Damn! I wanna be this good!!! Between school and work I just can't put enough time in the seat. I definitely need a load cell brake pedal though. I have trouble feeling how much pressure I'm putting on the pedal when trying to trail brake.
Most B rated drivers are trying to advance to an A rating by competing in these races. They do so believing they are doing so against like rated drivers. You competing in these lobbies is unfair and results in slowing the progress of these racers.

I'm a troll, I can easily stay in B/A class but I prefer to lose or quit a few races and go down to D class... so, I start from the back and have fun. but I don't bother anyone and if on the last lap I am first, I let the second win

We complain about different things, like being put in lobbies with the A+ aliens. My hopes of a win or even a top10 is out of the question. I'm 40% A now and was in many lobbies with at least 10 A+ drivers - best I could manage was P12. Today when the player base dropped because people are getting sick of this race, I've been in mixed lobbies of A+, A, & B drivers where I did manage to get a P7 which I'm pretty proud of. I guess I should create an alt account if I want to go seal clubbing.
