Yeah. To win Eurovision.. You have to get jury points as well as public vote.. Sweden in 2023.. Was the jury favourite.. And it was the publics second favourite. That is why it won. Käärijä didn't get that much jury points even though it won the public vote. Usually what happens is that neither's favourite wins.. The Jury's favourite cannot get enough public points.. And the public favourite cannot get enough jury points.. So the second or third favourite wins.. (The song that synergizes best with both entities)...
The weird special effects during Polish entry were Polish delegation's fault, because delegations are in charge of planning and doing them, Eurovision only enables them space and tech to do it Oh, and if you think 2024 France was 100% French and 2023 France was 1000% French, then you should see 2021 France, it was 10 000 000% French XD
What's even funnier about the Polish entry is that initially they had WAY more effects, but many people during the production, even the main performer complained that it's just too much 😂
finn here, i still think abt how we were absolutely robbed in 23 fairly often since im the most basic european ever and become obsessed with this competition every year, like we have won once while sweden has 8 victories, let them take a l for once. also yea, it is a trend for the uk to be absolutely garbage at eurovision, its become one of the biggest memes surrounding this contest
Sweden has 7 victories. But that's besides the point. I find it quite weird how people expect a country to hold back to let other countries win rather than just go for like in every other international competition. Instead you should be happy for what Käärijä did for Finland's reputation in the contest and the interest in Finland itself. He's paving the way for a Finnish win, and that should be the focus imo.
@@neville1311 I don't think that is what Janne meant, that he would actually expect Sweden to hold back on their entry just because they had won so many times. It's just that a victory for Finland would have meant so much more to Finns. Even Swedish people were rooting for Finland to win, cause they just don't care that much anymore despite how much they love MF. Let's say next year Sweden and a country that has never won before would be fighting for victory.... Eventhoug if I thought the Swedish song was better, I might in the end root for the country that has never won before to take the victory just so they could experience it and just so that we would have variety in the winners. I hope you get my point...
I'm Swedish and still think Finland was robbed, I was literally devastated K didn't win, he made me care about the competition. 😅 Seen him live 8 times since then.
On one hand it's funny that you rooted for Finland to win despite already watching the 2024 Eurovision that was held in Sweden but ngl every time I rewatch it I hope that maybe this time the ending will be different and Käärijä will win 😛
Yeah UK has been pretty bad for a while (last win was 1997 with Katrina and the Waves) but we have gotten better, in fact eurovision 2023 was actually hosted in the UK because we came second in 2022 however Ukraine couldn't host (for obvious reasons) so UK hosted it in Liverpool in collab with Ukraine. I'd also have to say that Germany has recently joined the UK as doing badly.
UK was notorious being null points in Eurovision for the past few decades even though they won in the past and was runner up many instances. Their luck changed only with Sam Ryder in 2022 when they got runner-up position again after being zero points and being infamously bad on the previous Eurovision contests.
I feel like you should react to the non qualifiers even though they there the least popular they aren't necessary bad songs for the most part they just aren't on the same level as the others
Nahw, you and I can't be friends since you disliked my top 2 (Germany/Australia). But yes, Belgium (my 3rd) actually killed it. It's a bop. This is my top 5 actually: 1. Germany (have seen them twice this year, met them once. They're soooooo niceee and amazing live.) 2. Australia 3. Belgium 4. Finland 5. Moldova (FYI, this guy also participated for Moldova back in 2012 with an English song.)
they weren’t in the grand final and this video was on that. i heard that it got dq:ed or something, but didn’t know at the time of watching it live. either way the song was definitely fun
@@diofromcali The song was fun? Well, the people in The Netherlands surely disagree with you. Because this is thé song that recieved the most backlash thinkable. The majority of the country hated it and distanced themselves from it, leaving Eurovision fans wonder why everyone in The Netherlands hated it. It was awful, awful enough to make your ears bleed.
@@diofromcali Definitely have a listen to what poland COULD have sent that year but didn't because of a VERY suspect jury result in their national final. - if only on your own time. Jann - gladiator

I'm not a Brit, but I feel the strong urge to defend my boy Sam Rider from 2022. Dudes got amazing vocals and personality ❤❤

If you’re ever bored and need some new music, listen to Joker Out’s back catalogue. It is insanely good and they are an incredible live band.
will you ever upload the full twitch vods of these or the full reaction?
