Just wanted to let you know I made these off your video with the 120mm fans and it worked amazing. I have a 4runner so i had to add a small block of wood between the foam and the fans, but honestly this made a huge difference bringing in cooler air. Thanks!
Great idea...
It's nice idea. You probably could have gone with 40mm fans instead of 120mm. Then you would have been able to close the window and be fully covered by the window visors. You could take the controller from the infinity fans and wire it to the 40mm fans so you have speed control. I did something similar but used the frame box from the solar powered car window fan, stripped out the solar panel, and stock fan and put in an 80mm infinity fan wired to a temperature controller. The temp controller turns on the fan and speed controller adjusts the speed. The fan pushes air from inside the car to the outside. And the exhaust is slim that i only have an inch opening that is more than covered by the window visors. The fan is powered by 8 aa batteries because the battery pack i had couldn't put out 12v. but i like your battery idea better
In hindsight those smaller units would have been better. I did not really consider the rain guard aspect until after I bought them. I like your idea of what you did with your set-up. Something to consider for sure. Thanks for the comment.

what about mounting one or more of these under the seat for poor-man's ventilated seat? I have honda ridgeline with perf leather…might work?
I don’t think the wind speed of these is enough to feel it through the seat. Possibly a stronger fan though!
