If there's like no enemy planes flying around and your team is losing in cap points then you should start moving and help them out. Most AA should be able to kill most ground vehicles in their BR and should assist in cap points than being useless sitting around when there is no enemy planes in the air. When I do fly planes I look and fly away from the enemy spawn because that's where the AAs usually are. The ones that catches me off guard are the ones not in spawn and are from least expected locations. I do the same against enemy planes.
it would be a fairer game mechanic if instead of CAS you just had a small probability of your tank dying for no reason at all during random points of the match
as a guy who played this game for 2h/day, only got bombed once by a twin engines with a 500kg bomb and deleted it after 1 week of grinding, i can verify this is real.

I agree. Planes get there own mode. It's like bringing a knife to a gun fight. I suppose another option would be to stop replaying your death so you know where the tank is, so you can't just spawn in a plane and go on a revenge kill

I have stopped playing this game long ago. These videos just prove that nothing changed since then. A good motivator not to waste your time playing it ever again.
A ground only mode sounds pretty boring in my opinion. Though I also think air only is boring so maybe I'm not a good judge. Either way I'd be surprised if very many people actually played a ground only mode.

If that's you, it's because you weren't being careful enough and presented yourself as easy prey. Second, every plane can be shot down, even by a simple light machine gun. Even better if you have a dedicated spaa in your line up. I love shooting down planes as much as playing CAS, and there's nothing that ruins a CAS run faster than a skill AA player, or someone that is a crack shot with their main gun. Even if an AA doesn't kill a plane they can at least deny them a fair chunk of safe air space, which puts pressure on them so they are less proficient with their runs, and also alerts their position to other friendly aircraft. In short, you are almost never completely defenseless against planes. Between playing smart and not making yourself an easy target, and being proficient at shooting them down either from the ground or in your own plane, they really aren't that big of an issue. Besides, I bet people don't complain about CAS when the good pilots are on their team, do they? Again, ground forces without CAS would really be a bore. But there is always "the other" tank game you could play that don't have any planes, but we don't mention that games name here.

With 100+ and higher booster: Air: -fully uptiered -team appreciates houses and trees below -you get gang raped by at least 3 enemy fighters -get kill stolen -AI AAA gets aimbot and cooks your engine Ground: -fully uptiered -you get to fight Wittman and Carius incarnates -team gets nuked by a Pe-8 -get strafed while your AAA misses, or at best, hitmarks. -get strafed to death while well-concealed in your open-top vehicle -you get yeeted from halfway across the map at your spawn -allies vs axis at fucking top tier, and you get brainless XM1 and TURMS players all by your side -receive a direct hit from artillery and get killed
I think they did something with volumetric again because I have bounced a record number of is2 shells off of other tanks that should have been taken out easily
When do they not? They fucked up sl grind for new players. All my friends cant afford mid tier game play. Rp grind is broken. To much hesh and one shots on tanks that never should meet in battle. Tiger 2 not one shotting a jumbo i bounced front plate no angles. A is-3 ran up on my and shot me point blank in the side barely damages track. And i got the kill. Its all wack. So ye game broke

They need to put the reward for shooting down aircraft as a fighter back up. A couple of years ago, the quickest way to 1st place was shooting down CAS. Then they nerfed the reward, less people played fighters. Now look at it. :D
This kind of situation bringed me to actually play planes, now i hunt those bombers on fighters, always remember, if they havent drop their bombs yet, they are sitting ducks
One booster is enough to make you play with monkeys in your team while the other is 90% made of pros, imagine two booster... You probaly use almost all of the bad luck you would have in one year in one match.
Two days ago I remember activating some +150/300% boosters to SL and RP while grinding out the T64/80 line. Mate, for some fucked up reason i had awesome games before and as soon as I activated these mfs my teams went apeshit and everyone in the enemy team and their grandmother became Otto Carius etc.
Replace this with sniped from across the map and you get my typical day. I almost never get hit by planes for some reason...but nothing beats getting one shot by a light tank in my angled Tiger from across map
The fact that i grinded this shit back in the day so hard and have a majority of Premiums, this is the one thing that makes me really regret having played it. Never looked back

Tank breakdown is very common on ww2 tank maybe not randomly destroyed but randomly your suspension break so you need to repair it.
