It was intended as a bunker buster to support infantry in urban areas where buildings were heavily fortified.
it really should have same 8m kill radius as 250kg bomb (it has same 135 kg of tnt)

it's already hideously broken but I'm sure Gaijin will do that soon, because in 10 years of warthunder I have learned one thing. If you think Germany is OP now, wait for the next patch.

The Sturmtiger is trash.
I mean yes it oneshots but is slow, both in maneuverability and reload, has irrelevant armor for it's tier and can easily be oneshot by shooting at the rocket.
It isn't more than a gimmick fun vehicle, but it is far from effective or being a viable vehicle.
@@ikat_tracer honestly the gun sight being so low also means you may expose yourself without seeing it
@@ikat_tracer it doesn't even need line of sight to attack and if you're remotely intelligent you can hide where you can fire at the enemy but they cannot fire back.

there's a channel named K2 Kit Krabiwe who has nice indirect fire / artillery videos where his squadmate spots targets, relays distance and azimuth to him and he lobs HE kegs from an AVRE or a Sturmtiger at the enemies while staying at respawn.

In Battlefield V, There's been a few times where I've been headshot directly by the shell as an infantry and seeing it hit you in first person is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

It has happened to me too. The explotion is bigger than the animation so it looks like the projectile didn't hit the enemy when it does.
He hit the tree and it played the explosion animation, but the shell kept going

i was 1 kill away from my first nuke last night in my T20 (US), a PT-76b rolled up not even looking at me with its side facing me. so i shot it, it was like i shot confetti, the PTs 13mm side armor completely absorbed my m62 shell like it was nothing it vanished into the unknown, my dumbass dumbfounded at what just happened confused, and not using my .50s died by the PT. Just thought id share my war thunder moment cause i was sad last night 🥲

Can someone tell me why he's range measure is so accurate while mine is off by at least 25%? My crew on 38' is 150lvl on Ace training. I can't find reason for it anywhere

Double check your range finding everytime. I spot something that says 400 but if i spot again it'll say 300. Either it's a bug or a feature.

I was driving my M14 MGMC one time in realistic battles. I just died to a Sturmtiger earlier and was trying to avenge my M4A3E2.
The moment I zoom in on the gunner scope, I notice a shape in the corner, then a muzzle flash, then a rocket.

Judging by the absolute DIAMETER of the barrel and the slow travel speed, I'm guessing this thing shoots an absolutely massive rocket.
I'm also gonna guess the short length of the barrel is because you don't want to trap all that exhaust from the self propelled rocket.
It's basically more a big mortar than a cannon or a rocket launcher XD
