I can't get over how real this model looks.
Advise wearing latex gloves when handling painted parts like that. A nice glossy finish like that needs protected.

That came out amazing Tom, so much details everywhere you look and I like the colour combinations you went for. Those custom decals are great and it's good to know about the Spotmodel decal service. Wish you'd put the 5 spoke wides on it w raised white lettering ( Shelby was a GOODYEAR TIRE DISTRIBUTOR) I personally think Argent or gold stripes would really pop ! , also the underside of the hood actually looks correct (weathered from underhood heat & usage) overall it's really a cool finished model 👌😎

And don't beat yourself up about the underside of the hood. Back when real cars were assembled in the factory, there was a lot of areas that weren't "pristine" and had overspray. Or unfinshed areas. So it's fine the way it is.

That was a fantastic build. I have an idea for the Cobra, by which I assume you mean the 427. But anyways I saw one the other day that was just simply awe inspiring and completely badass. It was matte black with gloss black double racing stripes down the middle. Then… to cap it all off it had a gloss red horizontal pin stripe going the length of the car.

This model is extremely expensive and is way more money then I'd feel comfortable spending on something like this but I will admit that the results are very impressive.
Pity about the lights but doesn't make much of a difference with the display imo. The green colour looks fantastic and the decals add a nice bit of flavour.
Personally I would've used the Rims without the whitewall tyres because they look more Muscle Car-ish to me but atleast you have two options available :)
Also about the Shelby Cobra I think the stock colour is the best, whenever I think of them it's either Blue+White Stripes or White+Blue Stripes.
Of those I think the Blue with White stripes is the best looking by far.

A tad bit of trivia. There was only one 1967 Mustang Cobra Super Snake ever built. And it is white with blue stripes. After that, the Super Snake option didn't come out until 2007 with the SVT series.
Shelby didn’t actually call it a Super Snake, that was from a magazine article. There were three 67 GT500s fit with 427 side oilers by Shelby American at LAX. The Super Snake was used to test Goodyear Thunderbolt tires (search TH-cam) which were white walls. The 10 spokes with whitewalls from the kit reflect correct combo used for the test. I’ve dabbled in models since I was a kid and have owned a 67 GT500 for over 40 years. Lovely job!
Paintvis absolutely fabulous 😍 but, as you said, I think I would have fixed the overspray issues for sure, maybe even glued in some engine bay insulation material. Lights, oh well, shut happens.

If it's like the de agostini version then the battery compartment holds 3 watch batteries side by side, you made the build look easy but to get all the electrics to work can get mind blowing, but that paint job is absolutely superb, quality build
It indeed is like the deagostini hidden in the actual battery. But i did not have any of those battery’s on hand 😅

I’m currently building the Eleanor Mustang, I don’t think anyones worked out how to remove the side stripes yet to reinstate the GT.500 design, if that gets worked out would the side stripes be available in black?
And if so how would we get them?

In a way the lights not working is a good thing, because irl they are supposed to be a yellowish tint halogen. But the ones agora made look like LEDs
Yes, first DeAgostini with the GT500, then Agora with the Super Snake, then Eaglemoss with Eleanor and now Fanhome continues with Eleanor.
I really don't get it, warm white leds are the same price, the white ones look stupid on a classic car, I never turn them on on my Mustangs.

I was home watching this I'm thinking a 3D printer could be a great way to totally customize this car onto whatever your imagination conjures up. I could see a nice pro street drag strip rendering
great Job What was the total build cost of the subscription, here in the UK I think it runs at about £1200 a full run like the DELORIAN OR Bond Car.
I luckily got it for free from Agora models. But i think the full price is about that.

Good day!! I am looking for expert advice for a returning model builder. (MANY years ago) I am getting mixed opinions on mixing brand name paints and thinners. Some say never mix the brand name of paint to thinners. Other say it doesn't matter. Anyone or maybe yourself, please help me.
As long as the type of paint is the same it should be ok. But for that you need to be 100% sure. If not. Just stick with the same brand

Do you think it is possible to sell these models for a profit? - Getting paid to assemble these? + Is the main bode Casted Metal or Plastic?
It is possible. But not for everyone. And not for a big profit, or having customers wait in line. So if i’m being reasonable then the simple answer would be no. Not really double.

Such a shame there's so many seam lines etc and so little detail. Like others have said it just looks like a toy and a pretty average one at that.

geez you are not perfect after all!! i did find it interesting that a model that large everything isn't perfect on it as the lights are concerned!!!! i see so many modelers on YT who don't have your talent, a 1/10th your talent who try their very best and on this project you seemed ambivalent about the whole thing!! Ya let me down on this one...if you do not care why should I care either?
