I really never noticed Landon having any speech deficits. I think people have too much free time to go about analyzing your whole life. That's your business. Yeezus he's only 3 give the kid a break! LMAO who's ready for bath and body works!? Landon's like um... yea! hahaha, oh lord Presley and the popcorn! I'm dying

There is nothing wrong with his speech! It is so cute. He will be just fine, it will change to be just like everyone else and One day you will miss the sound of his little voice. My son is 15 and we still laugh at how cute he used to some words when he was little. So don’t stress/worry about it. Enjoy these moments, they grow up so fast 💕

Hello! Don’t feel guilt about Landon! Honestly he speaks a lot and pretty clearly for his age. My step-son is 4 and speaks less and less clearly. Something that really helped his speech development is attending a daycare/ preschool. It’s easy as a mom to understand our children’s needs and not make them emphasize what they need more clearly and having him around people who don’t understand his speech and make him say things clearly and say new things really helps! I think even though you’re fearful for him starting preschool, you’ll see great changes in him and you’ll just need to ignore negative comments in the meantime. You’re doing great!

Brianna, you are such a joy to watch! I truly love ALL of your videos! Your content is always so positive and engaging!!!
I have twins (a boy and a girl) born at 24 weeks, and they were in the NICU for 3 and half months. We have so many therapies that come in weekly, and I do my best to work with them and keep up with all of their special needs, and I STILL have mommy guilt. Landon is precious, and don’t you worry one bit about things because the Lord has got this under control! You are a wonderful mom that the Lord handpicked for Landon and Presley. 💜💙
I also will keep you and your daddy in my prayers. We are currently also dealing with some difficult situations with my in-laws and mental illness. It is so difficult to see the ones we love go through sickness and feel so helpless.
Hugs to you dear! You’re the best! One of my most favorite youtubers for sure!

You are an amazing mom! I know how hard it can be, especially when you have everyone chiming in on your life. I have 3 boys (ages 5, 4, and 3), so I totally understand the pressures you're experiencing. Every kid develops at a different rate. If he does need a little bit of help with his speech, early intervention is great! We had to do it with our youngest a couple months ago. He was 2.5 at his evaluation and scored in the 12m-18m range. Within 6 months, he was right on track with his peers and no longer qualifies for services! Sometimes they just need a little push. I was apprehensive and scared at first; I felt like I had failed him. But I now know that I didn't and that getting him the services he needed was the best thing I could do for him! Now we can't keep him quiet lol Hang in there!! We're all here for you!

Being a preschool teacher, every child is at a different level. He is still newly 3 and you will be surprised how fast he was all of the sudden start improving. I wouldn’t worry about it. I think how much he speaks is great and the more he does, the clearer he will sound.

I teach pre-kindergarten and often have to refer children to speech or answer a ton of questions about speech development. Our speech therapist always steers us in the right direction. If you model the correct pronunciation of a word and your child can model it back then it isn’t a concern it’s more a habit. For example if Landon is saying “yitening” and you model “lightening” by exaggerating that l sound and he can say it correctly after that. Then you shouldn’t be concerned. If he can’t than it may be a problem with the muscles in his lips or tongue since we use all of those to talk. We always encourage parents to get evaluated if they ever have a concern. It definitely doesn’t hurt! I hope this helps. Landon talks so so much which I think is a feat in itself! Before three speech development is more about the amount of words over the pronunciation of words. You go momma, your know your kiddos best! Love your channel and look up to you as a woman and a momma!

Landon is a month older than my youngest daughter. I haven’t really noticed him having a speech issue. My oldest daughter (6) started talking clearly and in almost full sentences by age 2 (and hasn’t stopped talking lol). But my youngest is the opposite. My mother in law actually told me when she was 18 months old I needed to have her evaluated. But I didn’t because I knew she was just fine (I work in the medical field and used to do pediatrics). Kids just develop at different rates. But it wouldn’t hurt to get him checked out. Don’t worry mama I’m sure he’s just fine! Super pumped about this B&BW haul🧡🍁🍂🕯

  • @lindsaymarvin1683
    @lindsaymarvin1683 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Hi! So I’m a speech-language pathologist and just wanted to set your mind at ease, articulation (which is the way you say the sounds in your words) has NOTHING to do with intelligence. If (and only if) Landon does need some speech therapy for his articulation, you can feel comfortable knowing that it def does not mean that he is behind in terms of intelligence or what he can understand! If you’re still concerned (even if the doctor is not) you can just get a speech evaluation from a speech pathologist and they will be able to tell you exactly how he is performing and if any intervention is necessary! Good luck and let me know if I can help ❤️

I’m with you on all the excitement! This is my absolute favorite time of year! I ❤️FALL! 🍁🍂I am naturally more enthusiastic the second half of the year. The trips sound exciting too!
Love the vlogs 💕keep doing them..I love that their all over the place because that’s real life. I love when you cook during your vlogs, and when you go shopping. 🛍
My oldest son had similar issues with speech but it was nothing serious. I had him evaluated and he just was a little later than the rest. I read to him every single night. Eventually he was tested in kindergarten and he was at 4th grade reading level. So it might just be that he’s the first born. They will check his hearing to make sure that’s not the reason.
I’m sorry about everything that’s going on with your dad. My dad has other health issues but he is also losing tons of weight. Sometimes his spirits are down but when we come visit he seems delighted. I think spending time with him on a regular basis helps.
🍁🍂Can’t wait to see the Fall Haul & Decor!🍂🍁

Girly. You are an amazing momma. My daughter is my oldest. She is 5 now and she was speaking full clear sentences by 2years old.I can assure you it was nothing I did Lol. I was a new mom and I didn't do anything extra special. She was just very bright and learned quickly on her own. My son will be 2 and is barley learning basic words. He ia qoth his sister all day during the sumemer2 and still is just going at his own pace. I think your son is very bright. when my son was three he rarely talked or said words that you could understand. He never was in daycare or preschool so everyone always said “you need to put him around other kids so he learns to talk” I never did! I knew that was he was fine and he would talk when he was ready. He knew what things were and he understood when I spoke to him, he just couldn’t say his words clearly. No one understood him but I did! By 4 and half you would of thought he was talking for years!
I'm sure he is just fine ❤️

When my oldest son was 3 I realized I was the only one that I could understand him, even my husband would ask me at times what he was saying but I was with my son 24/7 so I spoke his language. We went to his 3 yr well check and I ask the doctor about it and my son ended up in speech once a week until he started preschool and then has been in speech all through school. He is 7 now and I actually have a meeting with his speech therapist today to see if he can graduate out of speech this school year!! He has done so well and I think it’s because I addressed it early. Good luck, mama. Just know that you know what is best for you child and always go with your gut!!!

My 3 soon to be 4 year old sounds very similar to Landon. She has a little bit more of a vocabulary but she has an older 6 year old sister so she has always been a little more ahead vocab wise than her sister just like P due having big sis around. I think he sounds just fine and it is amazing how quickly regular every day school makes a difference so just be patient and relax momma :) he is so smart and has such great comprehension skills for his age when you speak to him! Everyone has different strengths ❤

So my first kid, he spoke so well, but my second son-it took him soooooooooo long to speak. I was freaking out and wondering if something was wrong, but my doctor said it’ll be okay and it will come. We put him in preschool, and it helped his speech so much. I think it’s being around other kids of different ages, and teachers. I think of you are worried, you’ll see a huge difference. I never thought there could be something wrong with his speech. You are doing better than you think momma 😊

I work in a daycare & I think his speech seems fine. Kids work out alot of their pronunciations early on & he communicates just fine. I also think that its shows you spend alot of time talking to him & reading to him which will all help too. I remember my son had a strong stutter in preschool & I worried so much- it worked itself out & went away.

And as for Landon’s speech, my son just turned 3, and I think boys develop speech at different rates (really all kids do regardless of gender). There are times I definitely can’t understand my son! Both babies are absolutely adorable! Landon has a fantastic grasp on the language aspect of speech and at his age he isn't expected to enunciate perfectly either. I think he's doing great! And as far as baby girl's hair goes, if you can fit ponytails holders into her hair you should! Maybe just try to keep it from being too tight and try to unravel them rather than pulling them out. Love your vids mama. Stay strong! ❤

I would just consider going to see a speech therapist if your concerned and take it from there. Don't worry if he needs it or not, if he does than its just helping him if not than great. Have a good day 😊💐💗🌷

You're so funny. The fact that Landon had to walk from your Bath and Body Works haul made me laugh. As far as the hair bands for Presley's hair....I always put them in my daughter's hair as soon as it was long enough to get them in. I never noticed them damaging her hair. You could always try it and just see if they do..... And no it wasn't a dumb question lol. You are just a very caring mom who thinks about everything you do and how it affects your children. You're awesome!

I have seen proof that girls talk sooner than boys. I had a good friend who’s son was 1 day older than my daughter and we watched them both grow and develop. But I would 100% talk to your Dr. it’s better to be proactive than reactive. You got this mama!!
Also, wanted to let you know that I am sending prayers to your family and your father.

I am gearing up for my bath and body works haul soon. I think you already said you would do it but I would love a decorate with me video 😍
My little brother had a speech problem and my parents were in denial and it has hendered him as an adult now. Always best to check. And I love the super heros at the end lol 💖🍷💖

I honestly don’t see anything about Landon’s speech but I have to say how I admire you for not getting defensive over people saying something about it. I’ve worked in a school setting and so many parents get very upset and angry if their children are referred for speech or any sort of IEP (or even questioning their level of speech). Very level headed. And boys do take a bit longer to fine tune their fine motor skills.
    I’m so excited for BBW!!!!

Honestly Brianna as a mother you worry about your children, so normal and so understandable do not beat yourself up about it. As I can see from other comments and also myself, Landon’s speech sounds fine. As a mother you know your child more than anyone but I think his speech is good for his age and I never ever struggle to understand him. Please don’t worry love 😊

Don’t worry about Landon. They have speech therapists who can do wonders if that’s what he needs. My. Cousin was 3 years old before he spoke at all, and now he has a medical degree and specializes in ortho, and got a business degree to boot. Landon will be fine. He is a smart little boy!

I never noticed Landon’s speech. I think his speech is good. My daughter had probably three strands of hair and I would grab her hair up in pig tails... lol Presley has more hair than my daughter. Btw, my daughters hair never got damaged. I think that it probably helped her grow more hair than anything.

Please don't feel guilty about your son. Even if you did overlook something, sometimes you just honestly don't know some things. With everyday life, your dad, your baby, your husband, sometimes things happen. At his age, he will catch up if there is indeed a deficit! I really hope things get better for your dad. You have so much on your plate. I am a fairly new subscriber so I need to get caught up!
