    A BIT ABOUT MY CHANNEL:
    I'm a working mom of two who lives in Cleveland, Ohio, and like most women, trying to have it all. I'm a mama 24/7, work a full-time job Monday-Friday, and a TH-camr on the weekends and evenings after the kiddos go to sleep. I make content to empower others, share fun information, and unleash some of my creativity. On this channel you'll find mommy and lifestyle videos, shopping hauls, cleaning and organization, home decor, holiday and party decorations, boss lady tips and advice, and some style and beauty videos sprinkled into the mix. xoxo
    A BIT ABOUT ME:

From there, I joined Teach For America and taught 7th grade English in Baltimore, MD. I moved home to Cleveland to marry my husband, and have worked in a variety of roles in recruitment and HR. I currently manage a recruitment team, where I work from home when I'm not traveling for my job. I have two babies- my son Landon is three years old, and my daughter Presley is one year old. I love being a mommy, decorating our home, planning parties, shopping, working out, cooking, cleaning, and meeting new people. I'm a bit obsessed with leopard print, wine, coffee, and reality TV shows. I attended a work leadership retreat and one takeaway was to spin your words. Instead of "I'm so busy" "I'm swamped" say "I've been productive today" changes your perspective and those you are talking to.

    I agree with previous posters you definitely are not a hot mess...You are a MARATHON mama!! You really motivate me to be productive and happy as a working Mama. I work from home once a week but the rest of the week is in the office. It gets incredibly draining being rushed every morning. You inspire me to make more of the mornings even if it means to sacrifice sleep!

    Hi Bri, my daughter never responded to 'No' either. I started saying, 'stop, and listen' and then explained why she wasn't allowed to do what she was doing. It may not help every time.
    I must say i look up to you. I am a sahm, with a bachelor degree. I want to do something from home. Unfortunately in my country that isn't really possible. Thank God for GIGI. God bless you

    You do such an amazing job! Since I returned to work, my hubby gets the kids dressed and takes them to care. They are fed breakfast at care and I pack their bags the night before so all hubby has to do is dress them. I leave home early to commute into the city - up to an hour trip most days.
    When hubby travels for work I’m often able to work from home, but those are definitely full on days! I get them all ready and do drop off and pickup, and evening routine by myself most nights 💗

    My husband & I get up at 4am (he's in the logging industry) right now, it'll be earlier when he gets back to his normal job as a timber faller. We have two little girls (4 & 2.5) and my oldest is a "hit-the-ground-running" kind of kid! We also live off-grid, so it takes a bit more work everyday to get things done. (We run a generator for power, etc). I don't work a "job" but kudos to all you boss moms out there that do!!

    I loved this video. Good job getting every thing done. It's hard. My eldest is 23 and my youngest is nearly 13 so I've been getting up like this for 18 years putting kids to school ect, then going to work. It is difficult because then the older they get , the more work you can do but you still have to get everyone up and organised every morning and then organise meals laundry whatever. And my husband tries to help but to be honest it's easier if I delegate what I want him to do then do the rest myself, then I know it will get done. OCD is big-time in my house when I'm in charge😊. As for potty training, I never did it with any of my 3, sure in the day I asked if they needed the bathroom and they usually went but I didn't stress, I just kept lots of spare underwear. And used a pull up etc during night or nap until they were dry themselves, they were all around aged 3 when they were dry all night. I just noticed they were dry then after a week or so of dry, I put them to bed with a waterproof pad below them. I didn't have any trouble at all xxx

  • @nickischroeder6048
    @nickischroeder6048 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    “Good morning”.... “I pooped!” Hahaha. Typical. My son is only 11 months so we haven’t potty trained yet. But my sisters said what helped them for night time was putting a little potty in the child’s bedroom so when they had to go they would just use it on their own. Plus they felt so grown up having their own potty in their room. Although since Landon’s in a crib I’m not sure what would help! But I love your videos so much and your family is just the sweetest!

    My little girl did the same thing Presley is doing with the cabinets! She literally didn’t even care about toys... she just walked around, getting into the cabinets! 🙄 We finally had to put those cabinet guards (the ones where you open the cabinet & it’ll open a tad bit but then not go any further till you unlock it). I thought they were going to be annoying but I just put them on my cabinets with cleaner & medicine. Worked like a charm! She finally realized she couldn’t open them & has never tried again 😂

    • @magickaldust1213
      @magickaldust1213 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same! I thought they would be really annoying, but we didn't need that many up and she learned right away as opposed to laughing everytime I told her no.

    Try cloth training pants instead of pull-ups. There are some waterproof kinds. It’s a little more work but I think it’s why we were able to potty train relatively early and have it happen so fast (both of my girls took one week to be completely out of diapers 24/7). Getting ready to potty train my son soon so we’ll see how it goes with a boy! 🤞🏾😬😬

    Good Morning Brianna! London will get the potty training I promise! It’s like one day it just clicks and they get it. With Presley getting into the cabinets I think it’s great you are wanting her to learn NO!
    It always helped me to say it very firm “ NO PRESLEY!” She will get it but believe me you will feel like you are saying No a thousand times a day. Lol. Remember this You are doing a great job but it’s a hard job at the same time. It’s all trial and error being a Mom! But at the end of the day just thank God you made it through and to give you a better one tomorrow! Hugs to you my friend 🤗Your doing AWESOME!

I know you've done a vlog on time blocking but I'm wondering more so how you decide & small details like if you write down stuff then type it into calemdar. Also how you accomplish so much without feeling overly scheduled or exhausted!!
    As always, love your channel 😍 I'm up at 5:30 two mornings a week to go spinning then I with both kids out the door by 8am! I too always feel more like crazy mom than Bossmom 🙈🙉🙊😏

    Hey girly! You've probably already tried this, but have you experimented with lactose-free butter for your little guy? I had to eliminate dairy from my diet in the early days of breastfeeding because dairy upset my daughter's tummy, but lactose-free butter didn't bother her! Maybe the same would be true of your son's eczema? Just a thought! You're such a fabulous mommy!

    I am a work from home mommy of two girls! I see you have several calendars, a list pad, and I think a spiral calendar pad. Is that right? What all stationary do you use to keep yourself on track? I need some help!! I've been using the happy planner, which is fun, but i feel like some of my to-do's get lost/sidetracked by making the planner look pretty! And if im not at home, I forget them! And I'm big on using my phone for scheduling. I've watched your other mom boss productivity video, have you made any updates since then? I feel like I’m always a hot mess mom! I work full time away from home M-F, 8am-5pm with every 3rd Friday afternoon off. I always feel like I don’t see my girls enough. I always feel guilty. But I have to work. That’s what works for our family. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. Then on weekends I wanna spend as much time as possible with my girls. I don’t want to clean, but it needs to be done, because normally I’ve neglected it during the week since I’m so tired!! Ugh the struggle is real😟

    Hi Brianna. Just had to say- I am the same age as you, but I don’t have kids yet. From what I see, you are doing a great job balancing it all. Great career, kids are happy, not to mention- you look great! I think like you said, moms can be so hard on themselves and don’t give themselves enough credit. Cut yourself some slack. I think one day we’ll all look back and realize sooo many things in life don’t matter that much. What matters is spending time with our family and friends and being happy in life as much as we can :)

Working from home sounds like a dream. My 2nd child pushed her limits too. We just stayed consistent with stressing “no” and moving her away from what we told her to stay away from. As she was older, we used time outs a lot. She almost thrived on discipline, knowing her limits and the structure of having consequences for her actions if she misbehaved. Good luck. I don’t know where you find the time to post so many videos. Kudos to you. Your kids are adorable.

    Love your videos!! My two year old son basically laughs at me when I say no! You aren’t alone! I was thinking maybe it was a boy thing but sounds like just different from child to child. You are a superstar mom with all you accomplish even before you start your work day!

    When I had my day care I tried to use positive reinforcement. So instead of say "NO"...I'd redirect and say something like lets go get your toy, or lets go into the play room. While taking their hand and guiding them away from the "NO" thing. After a while NO becomes a mute word. Maybe give that a try see how it works.

    How do you take off your eye makeup with eyelash extensions? I'm considering getting my eyelashes done, but I'm just worried I might ruin the extensions when taking off eyeshadow/eyeliner.

    Your family is beautiful! To help young children learn limits and boundaries it’s important to use positive language and provide other activities as an alternative. At such a young age, children do not understand the concept of “no” and so it helps to use language such as “keep the cupboards closed” or with younger children it’s better to just simply say “close” and close the cupboard. They will learn after a short time since this is language they can understand and apply. In addition, provide activities where she can open and close something (like a book with interactive parts, or a toy with doors on it) so she can enjoy that instead. :)

    I don’t think you are a hot mess mom at all! You are amazing!! I’m a teacher and mom of 2 little ones, 5 year old and 1 year old boys. Maybe you could do a video on tips for adjusting to two kids. I feel like I’m still adjusting and my little one is a year old! It’s a crazy hard job and you are wonderful!

    Any tips on getting babies to sleep in just a little longer? My 8month old wakes up at 6am and if I just had 45 more min I could have more time to get ready first. I can’t seem to get out of bed before 6 on my own so that extra baby sleep would be SO helpful!

    We are potty training cold turkey! On day three of just being naked and not leaving the house! I was hoping for today to be further along, but we’ve at least had no accidents today! Unfortunately my son doesn’t nap anymore so I don’t have to worry about that, but as long as he is day time trained he will go in pull-ups at night. 🤞🏻tomorrow he finally catches on! I’m mostly just taking him the toilet every half hour and watching for the pee or poop dance and then rush him to the bathroom! Also a towel on the couch! Lol!

    What a good boy! Our daughter is 2 years 8 months and is completely day trained but we do still do a night time diaper for naps and night. She’s still in her crib, once she moves into her big girl bed (probably for her 3rd birthday in September and before her baby brother arrives in November!) we will work on night training. That way she is more comfortable getting her own pants and undies down and getting onto the toilet by herself, so she will feel empowered to get up out of bed. We plan to leave our door open so she can grab one of us to help though in the middle of the night. It’s totally normal for night training to take longer some kiddos can even be around 4 or 5 when they finally get the hang of it! He’s doing awesome 😍

    That’s so funny that the kids eat the crust because my little brat has to have the crust cut off and cut in squares or triangles lol.. btw #mamasboy I have 2 of them but then again my baby girl is a #mamasgirl to lol... You are so right most women don’t give themselves enough credit but I truly feel like as a stay at home mom I don’t do half of what you do..

    Hey what I do with my boys instead of saying no don’t open the cabinet I say leave the door closed. Instead of saying do not touch it, I say leave that on the table. I change the word no for an action that I want them to follow! Sometime it works sometimes it doesn’t, but those word help then understand what I am trying to say in a positive way!
