@@cjbernabe475 personally, I enjoyed the course of my degree. I don't regret it one bit. I chose great electives in anthropology and political studies which aligned with my advocacy (All social issues on race, women and children). I grew, not only as a filmmaker but as an activist.
Advocacy in filmmaking is very important which is why i chose to go to a university. In my opinion, its important to grow it with knowledge.
I went to a University which focuses more on theory than the practical side of filmmaking. The theory directs and assists your thought processes, your ability to tell story, and telling story unbiasedly.
Others are just naturally gifted with enough lived experiences to skip school and get straight to it. Kudos to them.

a note on these transitions - you benefit a ton from planning the transition ahead of time and getting it right in camera. specifically on the opening door transition - that would have looked smoother if the door swung away from the actor rather than toward. so choosing maybe to shoot from the other side would help the transition be a lot smoother. but these are great techniques! well done!
