When Scott was asked how they felt about performing with the orchestra, his classy answer was “The night was about Star Wars, not about Pentatonix. It was an honor to be asked.” Humility elevates.
They have talked about what this was like for them. Avi went on stage too early and can be seen walking back off the stage as Harrison is introducing them. Someone forgot Kirstin is a real girl and made the bottom of her dress so narrow she had to take teeny tiny steps in it. You can see Tom Hanks with his wife Rita Wilson in the clip. They performed at the Kennedy Center Honors for him when he was honored.
I love the look of absolute "how are they always this good"☺
People complained about them singing with an orchestra but in reality, they are instruments. 75% of what they do is instrumental notes that are sung with their voices. Kevin is literally a drum machine. And Avi produces bass the blows out speakers. I was thrilled when they performed this!
Radioactive with Lindsey Stirling is a perfect example of them working with instruments as she is a violin player and Kevin brings his cello for his cello boxing that originally brought him to the attention of the forming group.

John Williams who scored these movies basically scored my childhood Indiana Jones ET ,Jurassic Park, Jaws, Superman , Home Alone Hook JFK and the list just goes on Sleepers Schindler list Saving Private Ryan Harry Potter the Patriot and so many more
Son, that man scored my entire life as I was 10 when Jaws came out lol.

Wow! Mitch's range is breathtaking.
I wish PTX would have written this performance. It would have been out of this world. (wink). I say this because they know their vocal abilities better than anybody. Also, it should be noted that in moments like that, they are able to creat pure genius. So for the they a bit restricted, for them. The performance was magnificent, the accompaniment was perfection.
You should hear PTX with orchestra at the anniversary celebration of Wicked! Mitch and Kirstie take the leads on the piece they do-and KILL it! PTX needs to do a Broadway show for sure!
In July 2017 PTS performed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for their 4th of July celebrations. I have only seen fan videos of any these 3, I think, events. What I remember most is that in the first of the series is the first time they performed Bohemian Rhapsody live. At the end you can see Scott react with relief that they were able to do it.
There was also music with them when they sang What Is This Feeling? from the Wicked musical for NBC's A Very Wicked Halloween. That one isn't available on TH-cam, but an official recording is still on Facebook... iirc NBC Australia posted it there.
(randomly, it doesn't have instruments, but one of my favorite PTX performances is also not on TH-cam but has a copy on Facebook - Too Much Heaven done for the Grammy Salute to The Bee Gees. Barry Gibbs gave them a standing ovation.)
I went to that on July 3rd. It was awesome! After that concert we were walking out the exit closest to us and realized their cars were parked in a little parking lot back there. So we walked down the road kinda slowly in case they drove out and they did! We waved to each of them individually as they drove out. Scott blew a kiss to my friend which nearly gave him a heart attack lmao
pentatonix is an amazing acapella group, to be honest i haven’t kept up with them as much since Avi (the previous low bass) left, but you should definitely check out Hallelujah, Mary Did You Know, and honestly any of their christmas songs
I know right Avi was my favor person in the group I haven't really kept up with them since his leaving. Thank goodness he is still doing his own music.

Bruh! You fell asleep watching the original trilogy? I can see the prequels, especially episodes 2 and 3, since there was a lot of dead air. But the original absolutely blew me away when it came out. I was already a confirmed Trekkie, but I became a massive Star Wars fan then as well, having already seen all the Trek there was in '77. (Most of it several times.) And yes, I owned the "Official Motion Picture Soundtrack" on vinyl and flat out wore it out. Lol

Me to, StarWars is a snooze fest with giant explosions.
It's good if you get into the fan base and all the extra stuff of Star Wars but you need to spend a ton of time watching and reading lore and all the other stuff.
@@shadowdancer1063 no, they're very simple movies. I love them, but you don't need a lot of info to enjoy them. Or not, if it's not your thing. But it's a super simple hero's journey when it comes right down to it. That's why children love them.

They performance was about John Williams, not Pentatonix. That was the actual John Williams Orchestra in playing.
