I grew up with a mother who always wore wigs. She singed several by opening the oven door to check on what she was baking. It pays to stand back when you open that oven door!
Love Wynter. Wish it was big enough for my jumbo noggin. My 16.75" temple to temple kills chances with "large friendly" wigs. Like you, love curls, and all my wigs would have waves or curls if I could find ones that fit my head (in a color I'd wear) that didn't break the bank. Oh, and it's not just that a heavy part doesn't bother us, but a defined, open part was one of the signs of our own hair loss. As a child, when my thick hair went from baby fine to medium texture during adolescence, the hair became heavier, so a part became visible, but it was very narrow. It was in fact usually only visible in bright outdoor sunlight. Up until around the age of 9, you couldn't see a part. It's interesting looking at pics from back then... That's a great brown as well. Wish brands made really neutral-cool light browns (bordering on the blonde kind of brown) without a dark root, or blended with much darker hues. Love that muted, light dusty rose top on you. Thanks, Denise!
I did the oven singe on my fav wig Ellen Wille Esprit. 😢Ruined one side. But, I used a clothes steamer on it! It straightened it but turned out quite awesome!!!
Wynter is so cute on you🤗 Like you, I want to see the part on a wig if I’ve paid for a mono top or part. I have a microwave/convection oven. Because I use it mostly for microwaving I do use the convection for smaller dishes. It’s easy to forget that the convection setting does heat up (just like a conventional oven) so use caution when opening the door. It took me a few times to remember that🤪
Hooray a new Denise video. You’re the best!!!

I saw a video where the woman burned her wig and said this will be my cooking wig!
I finally figured out the oven was the culprit after ruining a few wigs. I just pull my wig off before I open the oven door.
Thank you Denise! Love your videos.

I did that the other day with my synthetic topper, opened the oven door and forgot about my topper 🤦🏻♀️. Totally singed my bangs.

And let's not forget Japanese Hibachi Restaurants (where you sit by the flaming grill)! Yeah. Lesson learned.
I have this wig in the same color. The knots aren't bad, they could be better. Love the wig but hate the knots.
