Once you vent and exhaust any trapped air for 5 minuets you need to repeat that again by opening the vent valve and venting for an additional three minutes to make sure there’s no air trapped whatsoever) according to the latest All American manual). Greatest reason for sterilization failure is trapped air in the chamber of the sterilizer and therefor the second venting for three minutes will help with this.
once the gauge reads green then (while using a heat resistant glove) vent again for 3 mins to release any trapped air. then close valve again and continue.
This may vary based on the size of the sterilizer. Steam will be drawn from the bottom of the unit up through the air exhaust tube and out of the control valve. Steam must continually escape from the control valve for at least 5 minutes. Once this has occurred, close the valve and let the pressure build until the gauge reads in the “green” sterilization zone. Open the control valve a second time and vent the chamber an additional 3 to 5 minutes. The reason for the second venting is to avoid sterilizer failure from trapped air in the chamber, which may prevent the steam from permeating the items to be sterilized.
Turn up to the desired level and let the electric thermostat take care of the regulation, it has a few degrees of play up & down where the pressure will then vary a little. if the pressure is a little too low or high, then change the knob very slightly once and then let it work by itself! One should not! turning the wheel all the time LOL.
After following the book I had agar agar spewing from my control valve. What caused this? Why didn't your sample do the same? I remedied my situation by leaving the valve closed until the needle has been grounded for 10 minutes. But seeing as you didn't have this issue, I must ask why and how to I remedy without waiting for my autoclave to cool? Thanks for the video.
puedes utilizar de preferencia grasa de silicon que se utiliza en laboratorio de química para sellar equipo de vidrio, o en su defecto puedes utilizar vaselina segun el instructivo.
The manual says to vent it out for the second time after it reaches green. Do you skip that intentionally? Just curious since I am using this for the first time
You don't, just take it out and let it air dry.Should be hot enough to evaporate most of the water already. If water is still in the bag, then air dry it until it's gone. As long as the bag is not open or have a rip, the contents will still be sterile after drying the bag out.
Good Evening kindly am looking for a assistance i do have a sterilizer on site unfortunately is not working as expected it gives a error of unlocking door, door is not opened, i think because of those errors that is why it is not giving any other options so we can not change anything only one step is allowed for the moment

it isnt required only suggested. tap water doesnt ruin it it just can gunk it up. I have a distiller for making distilled water, a durastill, 3 hours per gallon, but I dont use distilled water in my steam sterilizer because it is kind of a waste. I use rain water from my rainbarrel.
I have similar autoclave and I regulate the pressure in the green zone with minor twist of the heating dial usuallyonly one or 2 times during the strilization cycle.

mycosic you would do the second release immediately after first air release?

Robert Estuar if in the green I wouldn't think that would be safe to release the valve at that amount of pressure
Says so right in the manual written and released from AA.

It has a thermostat. You don't have to constantly be touching and readjusting the temperature.
If you release the pressure quickly, it is easy to cause the glass bottle to expand.
Yess, better wait to the sterelizer down the temperature

Thank you. It bothered me so badly the way he kept playing with it. I'm glad someone else understands.
I cleaned one of these up for my mom, she uses them for canning. Just wanted to give kudos for the monty python intermission music lol
Do you have to use the bucket? If not, there will be more room, I think

I own the same unit
All American brand is the best!🖒🏼
Maybe something important to mention is where you put this pot on. Not every countertop can take that heat.
Good catch
I have a machine now 2020, but a heater was broken, Is there a part for change or not?
Perhaps you can contact All-American canning company. Check out:

La grasa se pone en el la parte de arriba o al rededor dentro del autoclave ?

I have a 18L autoclave. But the problem is each autoclave pounch gets out wet. How can I apply a kind of drying cycle in this kind of autoclave?

Thank you. I’m still trying to find out how much of distilled water, my sterilizer is a 25x
fill it to the line :)
Could you boil water in a pot, then pour the boiling water into the cooker and speed it up
Yes you can

Why distilled and not tap? I cannot find an answer for this
because tap water would leave residues of salts

You need to let steam escape for more than 5 minutes
5 minutes is correct it is in the manual
