The hangar on the top of the craft makes it look like a cruise ship with an unfathomably large swimming pool.

This game has probably my current favorite ship building system.

For added glow on the side glowy bits, turn on bloom in the options menu. I put these on the back of my engines, and it really helps them glow that extra little bit. plus, it looks really good.

It truly amazes me how good and detailed your ships can get
that hangar at the top looks like a swimming pool
something ive noticed is whether or not traders come into the region depends entirly on how many stations there are, and the price of goods (i think), so if you find an area of resource rich asteroids and build a base there, traders will come more often with each station. so if you put every kind of station imaginable, you should quickly become a popular trade area. and you would have all you need in one area presumably (unfortunately this also seems to increase the chances and sizes of pirate raids in that area as well), and i think you get credits for every trade as a owners cut.
if anyone's been eyeballing the Brute since it was founded, this is now the 3rd time he's doubled her length! O.O'

Use glow blocks behind the hologram block to create an intense shine! Change the colors of both blocks to create some really cool effects!

Lathrix you can get a mod from the forum that lets you dock with a station by just being close enough. Also pretty please put your ship on the forum once you are done with it.

A little tip I have for turrets is that the tech level directly affects the damage and energy usage.

Man, I do like your building style, be it FTD or Avorion. You give your crafts their own nice flair, use the effects of functional blocks for nice looks and don't overgreeble your creations because "MUH DETAIL". They always have that wonderful blend of form and function.
Also, the Brute needs more hangar bays!!! Particularly on the flanks and bottom
You should have some chain guns scattered around with independent targeting for point defence against fighters

Love the open air swimming pools on the top deck! The name 'The Brute' isn't really fitting of this luxury cruise liner! :)

Turrets made from turret factories seems to be bit bugged out and their RANGE is usually NOT what is promised but far lower than the value given.
I have made several turrets from factories and I was supposed to have 12km range in my cannons but they actually fired somewhere around 5-6km.
This has also happened with laser and bolter weaponry aswell!!!
zameliz could that be related to in system targeting/sensor range limitations?

Turret factories are currently bugged so that you actually only get the Base range of the weapon, which has been fixed in the test branch if i remember correctly for any NEW weapons built but wont affect weapons previously built. Hopefully the test branch will go live soon so i can actually get my ships rebuilt with the new thruster/flight mechanics.

Game is very bugged to me now, i get infinite time for hyperjump to reload. i can´t dock many stations even after restarting game. And all jump gates have been disabled. so now all i can do is make small jumps removing jump cards and shooting at other ships. i should have waited 6 months for game to be playable. But it said Beta :) little did i know it is Alpha game still. Ohhh and now my support ships are permanent idle. Also when i target other ships it turns of my guns 40% of the time. Ahh well soon A16 in 7 days to die :) but could have been great playing avorion to the end
you can make fighters without the life bug by creating a new ship out a tiny block delete the base block and build from there but be sure to have an efficient jump drive and a captain so you won't lose it

Just a tip rail guns are really good versus bosses but if you do use them on the last boss it tends to get laggy after you shoot and hit the boss with the rail guns it has a ton of blocks
Lag level is equivalent to using about 64 TNT in Minecraft all at once
If it comes down to it you can set up some stations in the same zone of the Turret Factory your using so you make all your supplies needed to build your turrets.
LOL that is really funny when you started building on the top section I thought to myself that would be an great place to put another hanger.... Then suddenly there was one. Apparently I have seen to many of your videos I have kinda figured out your build style. Anyways I love the videos keep them coming.😁
I can't stop thinking that the hanger on top looks like a pool on a cruise ship.
You should keep safe mode on, because you might accidentally delete your entire ship, all it does is stop you from deleting the ships core(if the ships core is selected and click delete it'll stop you)
I just jumped into this video after seeing EnterElysium build his first ship in his second episode because I wanted to see what the later parts of the game hold in store so far. I was not sure about the size of your ship until you compared it to the mining drone... now I am impressed.
Build a Venator and call it 'Resilience'. And give it a crap tonna shields

Just want to say I love your vids and you should try scrolling your mouse wheel on the toolbar,where the building blocks are at.It will change the blocks and you won't have to go in the menu to change blocks ;)

i noticed that trinium solar panels are good for system upgrades aswell. very light and gives standard hp.
I love trading in this game.Even 4 years later and it's still really stupidly good if you know what you're doing.

You need a small cargo ship with extremely high shields and speed that can follow you around in order to make trading easier
if I were uncharge of this ship, id fill the flatbed in the back with chain guns, and mining turrets, probably a good thing no one made me captain.
Does the independent targeting turret factory make homing launchers? High end clusters of those would be seriously long range and massive damage. Also aren't rail guns long range? With independent targeting of those they wouldn't miss.

Technically, you could make even better cannons by creating 5 cannons from the factory, and then going to the research station.

you could use inetia Dampeners to slow the Brute down and use less thrusters
Of course you couldn't find high pressure tubes, you needed them. If, say you needed electron accelerators, every trading post would have HP tubes...

why arent spaceships all kinds of different shapes? You dont need to account for friction... so why not a wide ship?

Nice ship :) Mine right now is way less powerful and certainly not as good looking but I got my hands on some ogonite even outside of the rift which can be transformed into armor, giving me a lot of health.
