Love love love how in the show they stressed how cruel and nigligent the gods are whereas in the book it wasn't really stressed until later in the series. This make Luke's betrayal hit way harder and makes him a much more understandable, tragic villain. And charlie and the writers did an excellent job portraying his character in the finale👌👌👌
I dont know if you noticed, but when Percy slashed Ares' heel, he began to bleed gold. Gods and immortals have a golden blood called ichor, its like the one bodily fluid of immortals. If you look at a God's true form, you'll be immediately incinerated, so you don't want to know what their true form is lol (thats what happened to Dionysus's mortal mother. She looked upon Zeus's true form and was incinerated) Also, the reason Luke's sword Backbiter is half gold half gray is because one half is celestial bronze and the other is mortal iron. Its both worlds fused together, but its incredibly unstable. Like two same ends of a magnet forced together. its an extremely volatile weapon
@@ethanclarkreacts no problem! Also, dunno if you saw but Season 2 was just confirmed! (no surprise there) I honestly hope they continue the slight deviations from book to show, because Book 2 is the closest thing in the series to a "filler episode", except for some VERY important stuff scattered throughout including one hell of a bombshell towards the end, so if they make some changes to get it more rooted in the overarching story, I will have no complaints
And there is another prophecy.... can't say but.... ohhh I need like 4 more seasons. This show gave me my childhood back and went beyond my expectations. I'm rereading the books again.
In the books Percy gave Medusa's head to Sally and gave her the option to use it on Gabe after it is revealed that he has been physically as well as emotionally abusive toward her. I understand why maybe they couldn't include this in a Disney show, but I am glad they still had Gabe meet the same fate. And it is fitting that his own disrespect and nosiness (opening someone else's mail - I KNOW Poseidon planned that) is his downfall rather than Sally having to be the one to turn him to stone. Edit: also in the book, Sally qants to go to art school (if im remembering correctly) and actually sells Gabes statue as a work of art and makes enough money to go to school.😂
She sells the sculpture, but 'doesn't do any other sculptures' as the mortals say in a later book (can't remember which one). She uses the money to start off her writing career I'm pretty sure
Great reaction! Definitely read the book if you liked the show. And regarding your comment about the Gabe statue, something slightly similar to that does happen in the books. (Book spoilers below…………) Gabe is insinuated to be a…worse person than is explicitly shown in the show. By the end of the book Percy realizes that Gabe is outright physically abusive to his mom. So, he leaves the head of Medusa for her to do with what she needs to. Soon after we learn she has been able to go back to college with money she has gotten from selling a statue she made entitled “the Poker Player”. Coincidentally, Gabe has suddenly disappeared and she lets Percy know that she doubts he will be coming back. So, Percy fails to save his mom like the prophecy says, but only because he gave her the ability to save herself.
What a wild ride. It feels not so long ago when they dropped the premiere eps and now we have to wait atleast 1.5 years for the next season. 😅 You are one of almost a dozen youtube reactors I've watched since the beginning of the show. Really love your funny commentaries and I'm glad you enjoyed percy jackson. I hope you'll still be here for when the next season comes because I will be in the in front seat watching y'all react to it again. For now, I will just enjoy your other reactions. ps. it's a really good idea to not read the book before watching the series bcs you will end up comparing everything to the books if you already what's going to happen. for now, you can read lightning theif. would love to see your reaction after reading it too. pps. If you're interested for more pjo contents you can watch/react to the Documentary they released in Disney+, the title is "A Hero's Journey". You'll get to see how much passion and heart they put into creating this show.
Gods this episode was so epic and emotional. Way to give this season the send off it returns. And I say season because there BETTER be a season two or I'm marching to Disney myself is2g
Luke's face when he realizes Annabeth heard everything and is NOT on his side breaks my heart. His little sister 😭💔🤧

Lol! I love how you called Ares a "b*tch" twice in one episode. 😂
He needed to be taken down a notch 😂

12:13 They consider forbidden (Big 3) kids a problem because before they made the rule some forbidden kids started WW2

There is a reason why they can't look at the gods' true forms, the mere sight of seeing their true forms would kill any mortal or Half-Blood.
Kronos is terrifying in this.

I heard they got renewed which is so excited. Or else I would have been marching with you 😂
Your reactions are so great!
Glad you like them!
Clarisse is Ashamed to face percy 😂😂😂.
Kronos sneaking into another one of Percy's dreams trying to be all menacing and Percy is just like really? Aren't you bored? Get a life man
Right. He needs a hobby 😂
You should do a book reaction when you read tbe book
That’s a good idea. I’ll have to see how we go after the next couple of books
