- The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites Latter-day Saints, their families, and friends to participate in the First Presidency’s annual Christmas devotional on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 6 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
The devotional will include messages from Church leaders and music performed by The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square.

That was a wonderful broadcast. Oh how I love Jesus Christ and appreciate his Atonement of Love. It is my prayer to continue seeking his face, embrace him, and following his examples. What an honor to be born during this dispensation. We were born during a time of war against the evils of this world, when the devil has sent forth his strongest troops of destruction, but yet we will stand for righteousness and truth; no matter what adversities we may face. We are enrolled in The Army Of Our God who is the only true and living God. Lord, please bless us not to fail you. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen

WHY DO LDS REJECT ETERNAL GOD OF BIBLE & BELIEVE IN FALSE EVOLVING GODS OF Joseph Smith?

NO truth: Book of Abraham published with 3 facsimiles taken from an ancient papyrus. The book is a funerary papyrus showing scenes from the Egyptian Book of the Dead. In Facsimiles Nos. 1 & 3, Smith misidentifies everything depicted. "LDS and non-LDS Egyptologists agree that the characters on the fragments do not match the translation given in the book of Abraham" Quote from LDS OFFICIAL WEB PAGE
NO trace of the “Two million Jaredites slain” (Ether 15:2), with iron, brass, breast-plates, shields, and armor. It would be impossible for these millions of dead warriors in armor to leave no trace.
NO trace of the great city Zarahemla- it would be impossible for a city the size of Zarahemla (Alma 5:2; D&C 125:3) to leave no trace.
NO trace of Jewish dna found in any Indian burial ground anywhere in the Americas from time period of BOM. Thomas W. D&C Section 9:8-9 - tell us that if something is true it will make our "bosom burn" and we will FEEL that it is right. Maroni 10:4 says: "he will manifest the truth of it unto you"
The Bible warns us against this subjective type of truth test. Why? Because we have a sinful nature that can be deceived. Proverbs 28:26 "He that trusts in his own (bosom) heart is a FOOL."
The Scriptures, however, are infallible and can never be wrong (John 17:17; Psalm 119:128; 33:4; 19:8; Romans 3:4).
This is why the Bible frequently urges us to study and meditate on God's word. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV "STUDY ... rightly dividing the word of TRUTH." Acts 17:11 "EXAMINE THE SCRIPTURES to see if what said is TRUE". 1John 4:1 says: "BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT, ... because MANY FALSE PROPHETS have gone out into the world."
Mormonism claims the bible was corrupted to justify Joseph Smith's changing of the biblical, eternal God into an evolving, created god, who is not all powerful and is one of an endless number of gods . However, this is a PROVABLY FALSE claim.
The Claim: In the BOM, the prophet Nephi has a vision the Bible was corrupted and "plain and precious parts" were removed after the 12 apostles and after the formation of the “great and abominable church” (1 Nephi 13:26-29). Most Mormons believe this is the Catholic Church formed in the 4th century. Nephi claims this church was founded by the Devil (1 Nephi 14:3). So let’s objectively examine the Bible & BOM.
BIBLE: The Dead Sea Scrolls have been dated to as early as 350 BC. One is the Great Isaiah Scroll, which is the oldest known copy of the Book of Isaiah dated to 180 BC.
Do ANY ancient scrolls show Smith's "uncorrupted" version of scripture? NO! Yet they would if the scripture was later corrupted after the 12 apostles died as Smith and Nephi said.
Also, if they had been corrupted, Jesus would have corrected scripture instead of affirming it! Jesus sd:“ I told you EVERYTHING written about me in the Law of Moses, the Books of the Prophets, and in the Psalms had to happen.” (Luke 24:44-46)
Scripture is the same today as it was 2,100+ years ago with only minor spelling and punctuation differences. Joseph Smith was wrong. These scrolls pre-dated Catholics, and are Jewish scrolls and the BOM says the Jews had the Scriptures in their "purity". 1Nephi 13:25
LDS Apologist Wayne Ham admitted the Isaiah scroll does not support the the BOM. Apologist Dr. Sidney B. Sperry, of BYU, said the Dead Sea Scrolls do not help the case for the BOM. BYU Professor Joseph F. McConkie: "Rather than Joseph Smith as Found in Ancient Manuscripts, it ought be Joseph Smith as Lost in Ancient Manuscripts.” (Religious Studies Center, 1984)
IS THE GOD OF THE BOOK OF MORMON THE SAME ONE AS IN THE BIBLE? NO! In the LDS Church’s 147th Conf., Gen Authority Bernard P. Brockbank said: the Christ followed by Mormons is NOT THE CHRIST followed by traditional Christianity. (Ensign, May 1977 p. 26)
"Before me NO god was formed, nor shall there be ANY after me.” (Isaiah 43:10) If Mormonism is true, then God could not make this claim, for he was just a man at one point; nor could he claim that no gods would come after him, for that is the goal of LDS members.
Like Joseph Smith, this was the goal of Satan, to be like God and have worshipers. "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God ... I will be like the Most High”’ (Isaiah 14:12-14)
The new testament has not been corrupted either. See the book of John. Smith changed it to make Jesus a created being. Research a 1900 year old papyri known as the Bodmer Papyri of the book of John. (written 150 AD, around the Apostle John's time)

There are 4,000 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament. Some go back to 350 AD and NONE support Joseph Smith's claims that the bible of today has been corrupted.
Papyrus fragments exist of the New Testament dated to 175 AD and show that the new testament has NOT been "corrupted". (New Testament Docs: Are They Reliable? Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1967 pp. 15-17)
The manuscript and archeological evidence for the BIBLE is the GREATEST in antiquity. I pray you know the true Jesus and not Joseph Smith's exalted man from another planet who is not eternal, not all powerful, not perfect but evolving, and was polygamous.
God is much greater than the humanoid of Mormonism and NOT just ONE OF AN ENDLESS NUMBER OF EVOLVING GODS.
Jesus said ALL scripture will NOT fade away but "many wolves in sheep's clothing" will come trying to add to the word. Mathew 7:15 Joseph Smith changed Jesus, the Father and taught you can become a GOD.
It hurts my heart to see Mormons fall for the lie that we can become God when there is only one eternal God found in the bible.

Apostle Orson Pratt, in The Seer, page 172, “the great Messiah who was the founder of the Christian religion was a Polygamist…the Messiah chose to take upon himself his seed; and by marrying many wives, … The son followed the example of his Father"
God gave us critical thinking & logical reasoning for a reason, which is why he does tell us to EXAMINE and TEST what we are being taught for TRUTH. The bible withstands the truth test. Joseph Smith's version fails the truth test. It's your eternity, study it for yourself. God bless.

We can create peace by forgiveness and withholding anger, however Peace of this world will not be ours until the LORD JESUS CHRIST comes to set foot again on earth. Even those we know will fail to listen to the still small voice of the HOLY GHOST and ignore the promptings thereby sinking themselves into the depths of HELL. FOLLOW THE PROPHET and THINK CELESTIAL, one of the great wisdoms of our time, for if we do consistently, great will be our blessings on this earth to enrich our future in the Kingdom of our LORD.
I wish all Presidents of nations to listen to these together. It's peaceful. We need peace on this world
There's at least two good reasons why they don't: a) when you say "peace" you mean "the oppressed silence of those whose Human Rights were taken from them so that "everyone" can feel safe." and b) the majority of people know and care so little about God or the nature of Christ that they agree with you.
You are one of many who will quite possibly never learn what true peace is because what you say you wish for would destroy not only peace but The Kingdom of God on Earth and the Agency of Man itself.
If it weren't the case, and you actually wanted Real Peace you would waste your last ounce of energy Preaching Repentance, laboring to purge 1) modern love, 2) queerdom and 3) queer marriage, and otherwise fighting the Evil of our time; you would be a shining light of example in what it means to be an Actual Real Disciple of Christ and one who actually keeps their Covenants, building The Kingdom of God in the only way it can be; and it is easy to see that that's not what you're doing because it's not what you really want.
And God is Wise and Just enough keep BOTH Real Peace AND your wish from you for that reason among many.

This has filled me with inspiration & the spirit of Christ. I have many flaws that lead me to question my worthiness, but I know that if nothing else, there is a Father in Heaven, so why would we be irredeemable or unlovable. I know our Savior lives & knows all of us, though I cannot comprehend how that is. People have told me that I am strong, inspirational, a great person. I can't help but wonder if I am those things, how many more of us are those things? How many more of us hold great worth waiting for guidance, a chance to act? If I am a child of God, then so is everyone else. Even the people who struggle with kindness, charity, & empathy. Even the people we like to hate are children of the same God. God will judge them, and us, according to their/our works, how much do we need to judge if we are going to be in the same place at the last day?

I'm not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but I can't help but feel the love of God coming from their videos and teaching. I believe the Book of Mormon tells of Jesus Christ coming to America to the children of God who had migrated from Israel. I thought how could that be? Then a few years ago I was watching a program about archeologist who a discovered a piece of pottery in an ancient American Indian burial mound. No one at that time could interpret the writing on the side of the pottery, so it was placed in storage. Years later, I man who was familiar with ancient languages of the middle east, was shown the pottery. The writing read, "For the Judeans". How could something like this be in an ancient American Indian burial mound, if not brought to this country by people from that area?!!

What a powerful way to start December and to focus our minds on the true meaning of Christmas. I felt the power of the Lord through the Holy Ghost as I listened to our Lord’s servants. I believe this to be the true church of Christ in the earth today.

Every year for over a decade, the choir has sung "Silent Night" as the closing song. This is the first time they have sung the Hallelujah chorus for it. And dressed as angels. President Nelson is very involved in what they sing. Joy to the World is also a second coming hym. Not about the birth. I believe President Nelson is giving us a lot of hints. ❤😊

And may the love, the light of the Christ child burn, shine brightly in our hearts, mind, soul, spirit and faces and remember what the true message of Christmas is as I always say each year "Its not the Christmas decorations upon the tree, nor the Christmas presents under the tree Its the story of a young child(baby) that was born one cold night in a stable surrounded by animals, a donkey, sheep, oxen, birds cooing, singing in the eaves, a little mouse with bright sparkling eyes all the animals in awe and Jesus being watched by his mother and father looking into the crib with wonderment, love and joy and the angels singing, rejoicing, celebrating and sharing the good news of the messiahs birth. Shepherds visiting the child bringing with them a young, new born lamb as a gift. Men from the east bringing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh and kneeling down in worship to the new born king. The Saviour of the world that came to the earth as a new born child in innocence and love, then a man to be offered as a sacrifice 33 years later for all the sins of the world and 3 days later Jesus Christ rose from the dead and made it possible for us all to return back, home to our Heavenly Father in heaven and then Jesus Christ will come once again in all his glory with his father and all the angels in heaven and to restore the gospel and to fulfil the master plan that Heavenly Father told us about and to rejoice in his great plan and Jesus Christ fulfilled every thing his father asked of him.
Thank you Jesus for everything that you did for me and to know more about you and to be a member of your true church and for the restoration of the gospel through Joseph Smith your prophet that you called and for all the prophets that continue to direct your church through direct revelation from your father in heaven through you my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This was just before the birth of Jesus. The star, the sign of Christ's birth had not occurred yet.

Saying, Where is that born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him"
Can you imagine being tought and teaching yourself as a prophet of God of the birth of the Son of God, and knowing you lived during the time it would happen? How much would your sporit desire to be there? Would you go in faith that God would make a way for you to be there? When you arrived on that continent, after the star had appeared, could your spirit be restrained from declaring to every soul the King is born? Would you bring the converted with you to give gifts and worship Him?

I'm absolutely disgusted by the many ads. This definitely isn't the Church's official channel. I highly doubt they have permission to use this copyrighted martial and to profit off it by interrupting the wonderful spirit of the messages and songs with dozens of loud abnoxious ads.
