Morning fellas. I was just sitting here thinking and I may have a good topic for you guys to talk about on one of your shows. Or maybe not.. 🤔 😅
I was thinking of the Dynasty that Bama has been for basically the past 16 seasons. I mean, besides Saban's first year, We have been a national championship contender every single year. The six national championships (7 total) are amazing and I don't think that it will ever happen again.
Here's why: (my opinion)
The landscape of college football has changed so much. It's harder to keep players happy and on your team because they can transfer an unlimited amount of times and play immediately (and get paid).
There are alot of factors if you really wanna get deep into why Saban's run of championships will never be matched but the thing that
says to me the most that it will never happen again is the playoff system. Four teams made it harder for one team to repeat. Now we are going to 12 teams. That's more games that will be played and more guys getting injured and of course, more chances to lose. I think injuries are going to play a key roll in who wins championships. It might be the teams who can stay the healthiest. I know they will adjust but I think it's at minimum some good things to talk about.
