I wish these guys had been able to sustain their career a little longer, but the music industry essentially turned its back on a lot of bands with real talent in the mid 1990’s.
The mid-90s actually saw a flourishing of creativity in the alt-rock scene. This continued into the early 2000s. But I like to think that the 90s never went away. Certainly the teens of today don't think so :)
Amazing track from a tremendous album. Miss u Merl Bryck!!
Such a nice song. I miss all the awesome Canadian bands of the 80s/90s
Such brillant, melodic, creative genius is the PIKES, Canadiana at its best, .,no weak songs any LP by them!

My very first Northern Pikes song when it was heard on the radio. Great song and video guys!
The radio, advertising the Northern Pikes' tour, played this song, and that's how I came to remember it again.

They chose to break up.

Nobody’s gonna believe me but- uhm my grandma dated the lead singer and he wrote this song about her-
Yeah, why not?👍
Which lead singer? Three of them sing lead. The one not singing lead actually wrote the song.
which grandmother? fraternal or materiel ?
Happy Valentine’s Day, to my future something 😊❤
Nice.
Is there a best Northern Pikes song? Who could decide?
Whatever happened to Merl Bryck? Wonder what he's doing these days.
In a interview, Jay said that Meryl works for the City of Saskatoon. Assistant greenskeeper in the summer & zamboni driver in the winter.

Yeah, kiss me you fool.
Ever hear anybody say that to somebody?
@@DANIELLE_BREANNA_LACY yep. I've said it. Among other people too.
Meryl left the band to run the family farm after his father passed away.
Kiss me you fool. You stink, you’re ugly, and I love you.
