I LOVE it when Gordon shows he is a kind man. Honestly he’s just hard on those who need it he’s a man that has been raised through so much hard times and he stood tall through everything. He’s just like the big brother everyone really needs
Gordon's brand is being a dick, but I've seen his MasterClass. He's incredibly informative, cordial, and fun. Age may have mellowed him out but he knows exactly who he is.
Who wouldn’t be shaking? The best chef in the world loved the food and cleared the plates he cooked for him. I would be shitting and pissing myself out of pure joy if I were him. He’s trying to contain his happiness
I watch a lot of British TV shows and documentaries off of the mvgroup.org. At first it was a bit difficult to understand, but I picked up on it quick. After watching a number of shows, you'll pick up on it too.
I like seeing Gordon enjoy the food. He may be known for being super angry but it’s refreshing to see people do well and Gordon give respect where it’s due.
+Michael Hunter I think the biggest reason for that is because brits understand brits. Americans see ramsay as harsh, unapologetic, and unfiltered. And quite frankly we're not used to that, so we immediately take offense. When he's telling off a European chef in his normal style, they may not like the hard truth, but they receive it better because they're used to it.
+Killertomato84 naw it's the overacting drama bullshit, the censoring, the sob stories, added sound effects and even though it's different restaurants every episode is the same, going bankrupt rotten food, chef that doesn't want to listen and even if Gordon thinks the food is good, usually he will only say it's bland, not that it's good. The complete opposite to the uk version, which is reality.
+Killertomato84 Worked in IT company for long time for a lot regions (US,EU,Asia) and I can tell you that Americans are the most whiny people you would ever find. They don't curse, but instead just whine a lot.

I actually watched this full episode on TV awhile back. The transformation was amazing. Alex was using crap bottled sauces and his restaurant was poorly run. His new food looked amazing and obviously Gordon was amazed with his food at the end.
2:26 Nicely picked up by the camera team, but it was already plainly written across his face. He is the absolute antithesis to Gordon. Gordon is calm and collected, the cook looks like his heart skips every second beat.
This is one of the best episodes in the entire series. The honest humility of the struggling chef and endearing staff. Gordon Ramsay truly enjoying the transformation of quality. This episode inspired me to make home made meatballs at home and I never forgot this scene 7 years later :P

@@victorkreig6089 This so-called rule is bullshit. I've seen people in many different fields which are not only professionals but even distinguished experts while having the same fun and fire they had on day one.
it seems more authentic, because it IS more authentic. No music to make it more dramatic drowning the scenes. No ridiculous action cuts to make it seem more hectic. No lame ass editing to make us believe something that isn't even there. And of course, no family bullshit. This show was purely about food: the source of it and the cooking. Owner and chef. Which is what Fox's version completely disregards. i completely agree with you.
Can probably blame the US network for that and how it is edited, I watched 1-2 seasons and kind of liked it but it was always edited and music added was always DUN DUN DUN which made it unwatchable to me.
clawhammr666 Definitely blame the US networks, but as I said, they were probably catering to the masses. American reality TV is notorious for created drama and ploys to keep watchers from changing the channel. Americans as the consumer set that standard.
Italian food is the best in the world for a reason Too many people have their heads lodged in their rectums so they think it needs to be pretty or have "flare" or the new craze that is "EVERYTHING MUST BE SPICY OR HOT", I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually miss the 90's back before this garbage happened
I worked as a line cook and then a sous, briefly, when I was a much younger man. The rapid stabilization of this chef is incredibly remarkable. Being a chef is a huge gamble. Most fail. Almost all chefs fail.
Despite the stabilization, he failed too. The business stopped making a profit, he had to sell up & became a car salesman. Running a restaurant is so much more than just being a good cook, and even if you're good at it there are far more externalities than you can control.
A small tidbit of info if you're interested. Spaghetti and meatballs isn't actually an Italian dish. You won't find it in Italy. It was the Americans (albeit probably the Italian-Americans) who came up with it.

I LOVE it when Gordon shows he is a kind man. Honestly he’s just hard on those who need it he’s a man that has been raised through so much hard times and he stood tall through everything. He’s just like the big brother everyone really needs
Tbh as a home cook I'd kill to get some of that tough love from Gordon, encouragement will be nice too
yeah... not really. Watch Beyond Boiling Point (or some similar name), he is an absolute ass to everyone, even if he pays them poverty wages
Gordon's brand is being a dick, but I've seen his MasterClass. He's incredibly informative, cordial, and fun. Age may have mellowed him out but he knows exactly who he is.
Gordon got to where he was by sabotaging his Lead cook Marco White by hiring a thief to steal and ruin his career.
0:43 - "Fuck me!" But with that little grin and the wiggle of the eyebrows, you could translate that to mean, "Hell yes!"

the UK version of kitchen nightmares was sooooooo much better than the US one
Yeah but they wanted to make it in the USA because this is where the money is at fuck with us rich gang. Boooomm bitch real nigga hours smash that Lik buttoom
+billy “NaruTard” willy I dunno, all the Americans I've encountered have been exceptionally nice. They are open and upfront. Personally I think most Brits are a bit miserable and whiny, and this is even compared to places like Eastern Europe where life is not easy. I say this as a Brit by the way...
I actually watched this full episode on TV awhile back. The transformation was amazing. Alex was using crap bottled sauces and his restaurant was poorly run. His new food looked amazing and obviously Gordon was amazed with his food at the end.
could you tell me then what episode is this
@@w.d.gaster3077 It's called "La Lanterna", Season 2 Episode 1

9 years later and Gordon Ramsey is still an amazing person with a great contribution to society.
Gordon is finally impressed' because this is him returning a month after he's given the chef his legendary 'kitchen nightmares' culinary makeover...
But also because the chef stuck to what Gordon taught him, unlike 75% of the egotistical nitwits out there who intentionally go back to their old (bad) ways and sink the restaurant within a year or two.
The title must be "A Rare Footage of Chef Ramsay Satisfied by Other Chef Cook" LOL

Some people take his criticism and say "What an asshole" others take it and learn from it, that's what this guy did and it made him a better chef. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride to get somewhere
Great last sentence, Ronin from ronin tactics said something similar to that.
Half the time it's the owners who need to swallow their pride and let the chefs do their jobs properly.

Such a shame he didn't make it. The talent was clearly there, maybe they lacked in marketing in the end...
Alex Scott is one of the best chefs I've seen on Kitchen Nightmares and he's one of the few who's stopped cooking. Shame. The guy really had talent.
Just because you're talented at something doesn't mean you want to do it the rest of your life, way things go sometimes
Remember the golden rule, you are not a true professional until you no longer love doing it
Are suggesting real pros need to dislike what they do?
@@Romczy you prove you have not become a true professional at anything in your life yet
@@victorkreig6089 agreed. it doesn't seem so uncommon for people to avoid from the thing they do professionally though. The first two examples that spring to mind for me are (1) Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth (Swedish death/prog metal band) saying he doesn't listen to metal at all, and (2) Margaret Weis (co-creator of the Dragonlance saga) saying she doesn't read fantasy fiction at all. And I keep my home computing as simple as possible because after spending 40 hours a week on a tech career I just want to relax with some f.ing TH-cam
@@victorkreig6089 This so-called rule is bullshit. I've seen people in many different fields which are not only professionals but even distinguished experts while having the same fun and fire they had on day one.
I really like the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares more than the US version. Seems much more authentic.
it seems more authentic, because it IS more authentic.
PS: It might not be entirely Fox's fault They need ratings, and America loves the craziness of reality TV. So there is that. :P
-FB
FRIENDLYMEXICANBOY I've never seen wifeswap. :P
But word, I enjoyed both too. It's just that UK's was better. Original concept, better execution.

Italian food is the best in the world for a reason
Too many people have their heads lodged in their rectums so they think it needs to be pretty or have "flare" or the new craze that is "EVERYTHING MUST BE SPICY OR HOT", I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually miss the 90's back before this garbage happened
I worked as a line cook and then a sous, briefly, when I was a much younger man. The rapid stabilization of this chef is incredibly remarkable. Being a chef is a huge gamble. Most fail. Almost all chefs fail.
every chef fails. its about learning from those failures. those who don't fail, have never tried.
Despite the stabilization, he failed too. The business stopped making a profit, he had to sell up & became a car salesman.
Running a restaurant is so much more than just being a good cook, and even if you're good at it there are far more externalities than you can control.
Meatballs are so very Italian I'm bleeding tomatoe sauce
A small tidbit of info if you're interested. Spaghetti and meatballs isn't actually an Italian dish. You won't find it in Italy. It was the Americans (albeit probably the Italian-Americans) who came up with it.
