You make a lot of great points for Mirabel to become a Disney princess and for her not to become a Disney princess. I don't know if Mirabel will become a Disney princess but I think she should. Diversity and inclusion are very important to people and Disney seems to really understand that and is going in that direction. I remember when the Princess and the Frog came out my friends daughters finally saw a Disney princess that looked like them. They had Princess Tiana birthday parties, dressed as her on Halloween, and bought all of her merch. It made realize how important inclusion and representation are especially to young people.

I do understand with the argument about not separating the franchise with her family which would be lovely, if Encanto became its own franchise like Frozen. But at the same time I feel like even though the story line revolves around the family. Let’s be real she’s basically front and center. I think she might be the next along with Raya, I feel like if they both make the line up they’re gonna start a new era of “dinsey princesses” based on how the endings went about. Especially Mirabel because her story line never actually went on an extravagant quest like the others and but more based on family values. So if they do make it the rules will change again. What I like about the line up is that every Disney princess since Snow White has become a game changer.
I'm Mexican, I'm 51 and seeing Encantó with my 2 young children and singing the songs over and over again is wonderful. Mirabel is a Queen, more than a princess!
She will always be a hero to me and her family I mean look at the stuff she's done she reunited her uncle with her family who they probably thought was dread or long gone she went at no limits to save her family and the miracle she lead her sisters to happier life were there able to do what they want she almost dies trying to save her the miracle even though her parents are begging her not to she brings her family together I say she will always be a queen 👑

If she was promoted to princess status it would probably raise the film’s success and she would carveout her own path in the lineup. Meaning more toys of her and her family will be distributed which I think is a success for Disney

After all they literally took Elsa and Anna out of the DP franchise, even though Anna is more than fitting enough, because their sheer popularity would just overshadow the Disney Princesses. So they were made into the Frozen franchise because they are boss bitches.
