    Jeff, I started watching your channel last year when I first started deer hunting. No one in my family ever did, so I was at ground ZERO. I learned so much from you, I was just able to successfully nab my first deer…. An 8 point buck!! You started a whole new family ritual that I’ll pass on to my kids one day. Keep up what you’re doing!!

    Jeff, I subscribed to your channel about a year ago and started applying what I have learned and all I can say is WOW... What a difference. I just shot the oldest and biggest buck I have had on camera this morning around 9, about 300 yds. from my food plot back in a bedding area I created. I only have 25 acres, but I only hunt the outside now and built travel corridor's using your method's. Thank you so much for your videos!!!

    Started applying the strategies you preach… mainly the “midday sit”. Hunt in AM got botched by heavy machinery… drove 30 min away, got in an old generational stand…. harvested my biggest to date!

    WHEW! What a day yesterday was. Jeff your lessons were spot on I had deer everywhere must have seen 30-32 saw two nice shooters in thick stuff! But saw others just cruising. It was a lot of fun! Didn’t shoot at anything but wasn’t because I didn’t want to. Did find out a big issue you talk about ALOT now I need to further correct. I thought I had defined travel routes and I do I just don’t have them long enough or big enough they need to connect better so I have ALOT of work ahead this year!
    Only thing huntwise got right was temp, sunrise and sunset lol.

    glad I came across your channel Jeff. Don't have monsters on the properties I hunt, but i know they will be moving great ranges during the rut. These tactics will be top of mind when I'm planning my sits this month!

    Hello Jeff. I do a soul test every year and put the fertilizer and lime that is recommended from my local farm store. The plantings don’t do well. I was wondering if I do another soil test this spring and buy your seed, could somebody at your business tell me what type of fertilizer and how much I have to put on? My food plots are all 1/2 Acer. I don’t know how to interpret the soil test. Maybe do a short TH-cam video on how to?

    N.W. GA. 11/02/2023 I saw a nice shooter buck hanging with a single doe this morning as if she might come into esturs anytime. I will be hunting in the morning, & every day I can this month. I'll be hunting on my Funnel Stand, & my 2-bedding area stands. I harvested a nice 8-pt. the last week of Sept. His rack was very dark, he was an old creek-bottom-buck, he was a 4 1/2 yr. old. I like ur knowledge of the deer-woods Jim, TY!

    They are seeking here in North Central WV. Jumped a pair of does and a young buck and they went across the road. Thought my hunt was over and then a chocolate 8 walked 5 yards from me and kept on moving. Thought he was the big boy in the area until I saw a huge 7 or 8 behind a doe. He pegged me at 15 and ran off. Saw me but didn't smell. Jumped a few more this morning on my way in. I think I'll leave the area alone for a week or so.

    Jeff I got a question. If I got like 30 acres of wood and surrounded by crops. Should I plant switchgrass around the edge?

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That helps greatly! Deer feel comfortable then, right behind the switch instead of 50 to 100 yards in or more depending on how thick the habitat is

    In the Black Hills of SD where i hunt, the logging is non-stop! Just when I get to know an area and setup a few stand locations, the forest service comes thru and marks alot of trees to be cut down. 😡. And within a year the loggers tear it up! I have 10 stand location and have to constantly find new spots, because its always something that ruins a really good hunting spot!

    I REALLY HOPE U CAN ANSWER THIS FOR ME.
    Would the Rut Web class help me even if I live in Mississippi? In my area, the rut is in full swing the last week of December to the first week of January. As long as I understand that, will the class pertain or be beneficial for me? I know y'all are up north. I actually lived in MN for 5 years.

      On opening day I sit all day...I migrate to only long afternoon sits after. BUT with the MN early opener I hunt like I would the rut. Typically morning bedding and then afternoon food source stands. I may sit all day...but rarely all day in 1 stand. More often than not on openers I sit all day in 1 spot

    Outstanding week!!! Congratulations on the Big Nine! Proof is in the pudding-😂

    • @danorris5235
      @danorris5235 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not trying to be rude at all here, but I'm genuinely confused.
      Are you mocking him for only getting a nine and saying his system doesn't work for large bucks, or that his system does work and the nine is proof of that?
      The reason I'm all turned around is the phrase "proof is in the pudding" which means you have to try something to see if it is actually good.
      Again, I'm not trying to be an ass. The crying smiley makes me wonder, too.

    • @kurtpearson2793
      @kurtpearson2793 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m genuinely congratulating him!! The Big Nine is a huge buck he posted on instagram last night 👍 He just absolutely slam dunked his year. Each hunt he called his shot as he went out to stand. He predicted the weather opportunity, he set the stage with plots, and drew them into water holes. It was incredible.
      “Proof was in the pudding “ was like watching Tiger or Jordan dominate the opportunity.
      I totally understand how my comment could be misinterpreted. No worries! It was kinda weirdly worded-

Somethings can be a little confusing mostly because idk the terminology but i watched a video a while back about bucks rubs on trees. I have a buck bout 2 ft long on a tree right next to a field, looks really fresh too. Can i put a stand right next to it? What does that mean if its right next to a field? (Ag field)
