The synergies remind one of the Enclave with a very exciting twist, yet be prone to breakdown with loss to chain of command. Kinda like the real deal.
You nailed it - once you start to lose higher ranks, all the buffs fall by the wayside. They start off really strong in the first fw rounds, but can fall apart with a few good kills

Question: with Clint's veteran ability, other units get +1 hp as long as Tessa is outside his influence, right? Do those units lose the extra if she enters that range? And if so, how does that affect units with 1 hit left?
Great question - if a unit only has 1HP left and the ability turns off, then their HP would drop to zero! Preston Garvey has a similar ability, as does the Sole Survivor Loner and the same would apply to them as well!
This was another excellent video, thank you for doing this. Are the Gunners the same group as the Gun Runners from New Vegas? I’m a little confused by their hierarchy - aura abilities, so I’m going to rewatch this. I’m still in the early learning stages, so Presence range and Awareness range is a little confusing. So far, I’m not 100% sure if you’re using the range of the lower-tier Gunner or the higher-tier Gunner when determining if they’re in range for the aura effect.
And do “Ruthless” and “Orders” only work if a Gunner model is within Presence range of a higher-tier Gunner model? Also, a 3-star Gunner is never in range of a higher-tier Gunner model, so they wouldn’t benefit from Ruthless or Orders if the answer to the first question is, “yes.”
First question is indeed a "yes" - they are Gunner abilities becasue they have the Gunner skull next to them. Which menas, Commanders, Clint and Tessa can't use orders or ruthless becasue they don't have a higher rank to trigger them. As for which presence range triggers Gunner abilities, it's the higher rank. So for every Gunner except for Clint, it's a blue radius around the model that is the aura range/Gunner ability range.
There are a handful of models like this, especially in the older releases. It's not a WISYWIG game so you can suspend your disbelief a bit, but it is odd!

It’s a great system, especially if you’re a fallout fan! More of a skirmish-style game compared to 40k, and it also has a great solo / co-op mode
You think they would make a Kellog's card for Gunner's as part of search for Shaun quest?

Also: it’s a little goofy that the lowest-tier Gunner Conscript can’t use rifles… but the miniature is holding a rifle!?! That’s just wacky.

The Gunners are a mercenary group in the Commonwealth. They only appear in Fallout 4.
