People who don’t normally come to church or know anything about the Bible will not understand who Jesus is unless Christians tell them. In Acts 17, Paul went to the “marketplace” and explained Jesus in terms that “unchurched” people could understand. His conversation and interaction with the pagan people of Athens teaches us some important things about taking Jesus to a lost world outside the church.

I think acts reads like an exciting book, amazing, from one "adventure" to another, filled with anguish, miracles, suffering, victories.
And to think that we thought that the Bible was a boring book written by uneducated shepherds before we read it.

Pastor Thank you. I live in a remote mountain community in northern BC, Canada. When my church closed during COVID my house became church. Since reopening I led a 6 month ladies Bible study thru Revelation with your teaching thru that book. We are just finishing 6 months in Dr D Jeremiah's end times study "the book of signs". Now I feel it's appropriate these women learn about how the church ought to function and thought your Acts study would be perfect. Could you recommend a companion study guide or point me in the right direction for Acts starting in Sept in Likely, BC

I am, a 61 yr. old Christian and, my uncle, found out that, I watch several different, carefully selected preachers, from television, everyday, on channel 71 (TBN). When, I had told him that, one of the pastors was Dr. and Pastor David Jeremiah, he had told me that, I would want, to add you, to my list!!! He had sent me, your link, to my phone!!! He was right!!! What a wonderful BLESSING!!! I also wanted, to say that, yes I am not just, a Christian, I am a saved Christian!!! I recieved Jesus as my Savoir, many yrs. ago!!! I have just started hearing that, there are Christians, who are not Saved!!! Who knew??? A Christian, who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savoir. Do they not know, The Price that, Jesus Christ paid for, our sins!!! I didn't know that people were called Christians whom, hasn't accepted, God's Holy Son, as their Holy Saviour!!! We must pray for these people!!! Because, we know by, our good works, will not get us, into Heaven!!! Besides being made in God's image, eternity has been put in our hearts. We have the inherent knowledge of the eternal nature of our spirit and of God's. Misled children seek to fill the desire to have a fulfilling relationship with our Creator by running after the wrong things to fill that space within each of us. Only when we find out that Yeshua is the only way to fill that void within us do we find peace, and stop searching, and instead we have His Spirit overflowing from us and seeking to fill others with the same. We are transformed by the renewing of our hearts, and are given a commission. Our purpose for remaining here after we find Yeshua Messiah is to go and make disciples of all nationalities and we don't make distinctions when we look for someone to share this great Treasure with.
We have many religious people who don't know Jesus.
Could you explain to me prehistoric man. I’ve accepted Jesus into my life . Someone asked me this question and I didn’t know how to answer them.
It is interesting that the Sower of Seed in Luke 8....the seed falls on 4 heart locations, the last being on the "good ground".
Here, in Acts 17: 32-34 shows seed falling on 3 heart locations, the last being those who believed and followed Paul.
Doing some simple math between Luke and Acts... the narrow way to God appears slim... Just an interesting observation with numbers the fire of judgement, the love of the lord and knowing It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
All of God's creatures have spirits
This is why I never try to read the Bible. It's a lot of about nothing. Half a page of a list of peoples names. Describing a building and what it's like to live in a city with other religions. I don't care.
We need godly believers to GUIDE us in understanding God's word, the Bible. For this reason Jesus appointed 12 DISCIPLES to be apostles. When Jesus ascended into heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit to be able to teach others in the church. That way the gospel is passed on to us today. Acts 1:15; 2:4, 37, 41, 32. is the start of the Christian ✝️ church. In Acts 8:25-40 tells about Jesus' disciple, Phillip, explained Psalms 53 to wealth Jew when he says, How can I understand unless a man explains it to me. Phillip told him how Jesus was the person talked about and the man was baptized as a believer. You need people who have ALREADY become believers to show which verses of the Bible will explain HOW to be saved, born again, and live the Christian life. ✝️
DON'T follow philosophies which are only for this life. All philosophers die without God. The gospel is historic fact, even non- believers wrote HISTORICAL accounts as to the fact of Jesus (Josephus' secular history). Our CALENDAR was set to witness Jesus' birth. I Corinthians 15:1-8 is both EVIDENCE and reason to believe in Jesus. I hope that helps you. You can SEE that I took an hour writing, praying, and finding Bible verses that will help you believe God and experience eternal life through Jesus Christ. You are VALUABLE to myself and God. I accepted Jesus at 12 and am now 75, that is MY testimony as to how good it us to believe in Jesus my whole life.. You can too,, and it doesn't COST a dime. Jesus paid it ALL on the cross ✝️ 🙌 🙏 😌 ✨.
a lot of movies, books, stories, quotes, symbolisms were made because of the bible's influence to the world...and still you see it as "nothing"? seriously?
U see st. paul hospitals ,st john ambulance, red cross, everywhere -- by the influence of the new testament----nothijg about it??
I'm sorry. Is this the first time you listened to Gary Hamrick? This chapter maybe was not the easiest to follow. He goes through the whole Bible chapter by chapter. I hope you will try listening to a few more of his teachings and find them a blessing in your life.
