Just some hints which you can use to distinguish the languages, that use Cyrillic alphabet: The letters ы and э are present: Russian The letter i (with two dots) is present: Ukrainian; i with one dot is used also in Ukrainian and in Belarusian, although I'm not sure if there is Google Street View in Belarus. The letters j, ђ, љ, њ, ћ: Serbian The letters j, њ, љ, Ќ, Ѓ (the apostrophe at the top is important): Macedonian The letter Ъ: definitely Bulgarian, but be careful for the short line at the top, because Ь, without it is used in other languages too. The letters ң, ұ, ә: Most probably Kazakh, although I think they've recently switched to Latin alphabet. The letter ϴ: Mongolian. They also like to put same letter next to each other, as in Улаанбаатар, for example :D That's the shortest way I can put it, maybe some Cyrillic-using fellows can add other clues? ;)
There was not a single thing that looked Dutch in the last round. Always look out for the red bike lane and the 30 by 30 concrete sidewalk tiles. Also NO HILLS! Keep up the good work. I realy like your videos.
I live in Luxembourg and I knew it was Luxembourg from the first frame alone. That house on the left is typically Luxembourgish. Mix of German and French cars with yellow plates, nearly always Luxembourgish. That flag hanging from the house across the street is the Luxembourgish coat of arms. And when he turned around, Cactus is a Luxembourgish supermarket.
If you see cyrillic (Russian writing) and you see the letter "i" you can assume you're not in Russia. They use it in the Ukrainian language, it might help you out.
That flag in the last round is a variant of the Luxembourgian national flag. Some people use it because they think that the official one is too similar to the Dutch flag.
sorry but i laughed at the spain round and how the andalucia's flag made the spain's national flag look like bolivian lol great video mate, always amazed by your knowledge
Just a tip for differentiating between Luxembourg and The Netherlands: the sidewalks in The Netherlands are never made from asphalt but from square tiles, and there are bike lanes on or next to almost every road
So, I think Urban World 10 country is significantly easier than Diverse World 10 country. There are just often (not always) more hints, more language, stuff like that. Honestly, what I want to see you do more often is play-alongs, however you want to do that stuff. But I'll watch anything!
Y'know I feel like it'd be pretty cool if you dedicated a whole video to teaching us about the clues you pick up on, telling us what each country is characterized by in folliage and architecture and all that good stuff. Would be pretty useful as general trivia to get all that info from a guy as informed as you.
26:17 I was shocked to find actually knowing something better than you. Made me scream at my screen that that's the Luxemburg flag, or to be precise a variation of it.
Would be awesome if I could play along on this format as well! Instead of the Play button, please click Challenge but no time limit so you can share the link with us. Cheers!
Yeah, I'm afraid that as a flag afficionado, I can tell you that the flag at the end is the old flag of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, I'm pretty sure. Red lion on Blue/White stripes. Tough luck, but very well played.
The only hill I know of in Netherlands is part of Arnhem, a place called Het Dorp.... and there is a disabled village on top.... I stayed there a while ;)
26:13 The flag is the Luxembourgish Flag with the Red Lion but it isn't the national Flag unfortunately. Some people say it should. And side fact "Cactus" is a national Supermarket.
I watch a lot of car crash videos, most coming from Russia, USA, Canada, China, UK, Australia, and parts of Europe. Russia has yellow-framed pedestrian crossing signs and sometimes digital timers on the traffic lights, features not seen in other eastern European countries. Anyway, those dash cam videos offer cheap peeks at streets and traffic in places I've never been to.
@GeoguessrWizard Dark Tranquillity is one of the masters of the "Melodic Death Metal" genre. I heavily recommend these guys, even if you're not a metalhead you might enjoy their song "Forward Momentum" from their latest album "Atoma". Cheers !
Yes it's part of the USA but is it really in the spirit of it Like I wouldn't even count Hawaii as USA cuz in terms of the the world non-politically it's its own thing
@@waifubreaks1572 That's literally my point. Hawaii is even more technically part of the US than Guam, and yet nonetheless, I would not count it as a successful country pick if I went for Kentucky and it was actually Hawaii. That's halfway around the world! It's not in the spirit of the challenge.
Note, the "Russian style text" is actually known as Cyrillic script/characters as opposed to the Latin script/characters that most other western languages use
I tried this and in the first three rounds, I guessed correctly, but in the fourth round, I was dropped in the most "middle of nowhere" looking place in eastern Mongolia. I had nothing to go off of but sand and power lines. The only thing I could tell was that I was driving on the right and that I was in the northern hemisphere. I went with Colombia because it just looked like a flat desert with nothing in it. I got 4 points.
Mate around the 11 min mark in Africa, no. 3 I think, I am shouting at you when you keep saying Kenya and also Botswana. They are driving on the right, so it is an English-speaking country in West Africa. Those in the East and the South drive on the left.
How were you so quick to skip over Hotel MALAGA. uhmmmm im not sure. you got around to it anyway though. And for the LAST TIME. THERE ARE NO HILLS IN THE NETHERLANDS. some in limburg but nowhere else xD
Well, you just said it, Golsie -- there ARE hills in the Netherlands, but they're all down in Limburg (on the border with Belgium/Germany). See this picture of an intrepid mountaineer setting out to conquer the Dutch Everest (the 322- metre-high Vaalserberg): www.we12travel.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/anto-vaalserberg-2.jpg
Nigeria only has Google Street View around Lagos. Other not mentioning Ghana as an English speaking country other than in the south. Senegal is the only country I haven’t seen in your videos has Google Street View, but it’s official language is French.

You nailed the accent at 15:10. It bothered me a little too much because of how different you sounded lol
Dan Kelly omg right. I was amazed at first but when he kept talking I was totally taken back, like what?
It was spot on - he sounded like a completely different person
22:57 dark tranquility , genuinely love these parts of the videos
There was not a single thing that looked Dutch in the last round. Always look out for the red bike lane and the 30 by 30 concrete sidewalk tiles. Also NO HILLS! Keep up the good work. I realy like your videos.
yeah exactly, the hills, the absence of bike lane, and the buildings had a german style rather than dutch

I had the same feeling coming from the border to lux

dude you killed that at 15:09 hahahaha so dope
Was raaaad bro
*looks at street*
"Thats Burmingham!"
22:44 So close to 1337, you know what else reminds me of 1337? Your elite folder of Bear Grylls overdubs on your desktop from a few episodes back.
Kaaazzi 1337 is my post number lol
Toronto
"I love judging people" man I really felt that
14:10 hahahaha that sound brought me back 18yrs wow!
Farm idling lol
Age of empires
"I love judging people!"

great video mate, always amazed by your knowledge
"I pitched my tent right there... And that is not a euphemism."
This channel is genuinely fantastic for calming my anxiety. Thank you :)
12:35 that yellow sign says GHACEM which immediately made me think Ghana :)
I did the same thing!
me too =)
18:30 sounds like a Jabba the Hutt quote
lmao

This is the best series, you're not obsessively pedantic about your marker and are just loose, which makes the detectiveness of your guesses come out.
"A man eating a space cake, presumably" lmaoooo
Lol America always has a flag
Love the AoE sound effect
i love this challenge so much! please keep posting these
The flag of Andalusia (where Malaga is) is green, white and green hehe. Our national day is very soon, the 28th of February 💚⚪💚
Also, in one wall it was written "Cruzcampo", which is a famous beer from Andalusia.
i love when you put on the American accent 😂 always makes me chuckle
That’s the Ghanaian national school uniform btw. The schools have brown and yellow walls to match it too
what a fun color combination

The reflective frame around crosswalk signs, the best way to tell it's Russia and not any other country with Cyrillic alphabet.
Looks directly at a Spanish flag, then the word Malaga
“There’s got to be better clues” 😂😂
love this format keep it up man
26:17 I was shocked to find actually knowing something better than you. Made me scream at my screen that that's the Luxemburg flag, or to be precise a variation of it.
Dude, in the Netherlands one you clicked on my home, or at least within 500 metres of it, that's insane
Would be awesome if I could play along on this format as well! Instead of the Play button, please click Challenge but no time limit so you can share the link with us. Cheers!

Red lion on Blue/White stripes. Tough luck, but very well played.
''dont forget it can always be luxembourg'' -''oh shit it WAS luxembourg'' i literally had to laugh out loud hahah
22:48 is it just me or does he sound super American when he says “DARK TRANQUILLITY”
I am no expert on geography but when you were thinking Netherlands even though there is a big hill in the background that set off some alarms for me
Mad that you've been to Dijon! Recognised immediately used to live there!! Crazy
I recognized Ghana by the school uniforms and the cedi sign on the for hire box.
5:34
You mean RIGHT side of the road?
24:15 it says Cruzcampo on the wall which is a Spanish beer
The only hill I know of in Netherlands is part of Arnhem, a place called Het Dorp.... and there is a disabled village on top.... I stayed there a while ;)
Yeah, more of this. Also maybe try a (faster) perfect score in USA or do Canada for Monday! Cheers mate
Great format! Love it
26:13 The flag is the Luxembourgish Flag with the Red Lion but it isn't the national Flag unfortunately. Some people say it should. And side fact "Cactus" is a national Supermarket.
At 12:02 the ad says Ghacem which does give it away a bit. Great video nevertheless.
Love the AoE sound effect. Do you play on Voobly?
10-30s per round and try guessing the country.. could be stressful for you, but fun for us to watch
I watch a lot of car crash videos, most coming from Russia, USA, Canada, China, UK, Australia, and parts of Europe. Second one, misses the dialling code on the first building, but gets it anyway.
Definitely more of this would be good
Wow, first video I've seen where Leeds popped up, I drive on that road almost every day lol
22:52 That's pretty metal maaan haha
@GeoguessrWizard Dark Tranquillity is one of the masters of the "Melodic Death Metal" genre. I heavily recommend these guys, even if you're not a metalhead you might enjoy their song "Forward Momentum" from their latest album "Atoma". Cheers !
Guam is the USA without any doubt
Yes it's part of the USA but is it really in the spirit of it
Like I wouldn't even count Hawaii as USA cuz in terms of the the world non-politically it's its own thing
Guam has a lot of people serving in the US armed forces too.
@@Emperorerror Hawaii is literally a state, there's a huge military presence there, and college football is a big deal there.
@@Emperorerror Kentucky is also different from Arizona. What's your point?
in the last one it was the flag of the Royal house of luxembourg
Addibuddy yeah I immediately knew it from eu4!
Note, the "Russian style text" is actually known as Cyrillic script/characters as opposed to the Latin script/characters that most other western languages use
3:28 You didn't even mention the fact you were 3333.3 miles out!
I feel like you’d make a fantastic sports commentator
I tried this and in the first three rounds, I guessed correctly, but in the fourth round, I was dropped in the most "middle of nowhere" looking place in eastern Mongolia. Not to be pedantic, but if you're not counting Guam, would you not count Puerto Rico or Washington, D.C. as part of the United States?
The green flag in the Malaga guess was the Andalusian regional flag
That last one, I knew it was Luxembourg, the flag you spotted was the Luxembourg flag with the Lion on :(
2:30 Hahaha you can't say that 😂. But I love the fact you do tho.
After that, goes on a "rant" about people having to much shit: Ah this might be Birmingham! Love you Tom!
Great one, miss playing along though.
GW uploaded a video. My friday is now complete
16:45, I'm dead. That's hilarious.
In the Ghana round there was a sign saying Ghachem directly below you!
Both the formats are barrels of fun. You might as well alternate between them every episode.
3:33 3333.3 miles lol
i will be here at 03.33 03.03.2033 q is will you!?!?!
Lol the first one was 3333.3 miles away :D
Yoooo the accent at 15:10 is so accurate lol
Omg when i saw “Calle vendeja” my mouth dropped.. i literally just returned from my holiday where i stayed on that street.. hahah
That first Russia guess passed through 3 countries!
26:18 That's actually an alternate flag of Luxembourg heh
FYI, most of east africa, Kenya included, drive on the left. British colonies.
So Tom Davies, hows it going for you in Everton?
I got Ghana btw. GHACEM helped me, and also the politician poster because there is that everywhere when i had ghana
Kenya and Uganda drive on the left while Nigeria and Ghana drive on the right.
Mate around the 11 min mark in Africa, no. 3 I think, I am shouting at you when you keep saying Kenya and also Botswana. They are driving on the right, so it is an English-speaking country in West Africa. Those in the East and the South drive on the left.
When you didn't notice the Spanish flag I thought that you were joking
Finally!!! It's back🙌🔥

MFW that billboard said "Budweiser".
19:36
did you remember that birthday thing ? lol
you speaking in an american accent. I was born to witness this.
Cheers to the one Dark Tranquillity fan in Málaga \m/

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
18:33 jeruk means tangerine 😂
Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish band.
Waluigi says “waaaaaa”
Pretty sure that’s a Budweiser billboard
I have been on vacation in Luxemburg and we parked our car in that exact carpark and I live in the Netherlands aswel!
the accent at 15:10 took me out lmao
15:09 your american accent is really good
I knew you would fuck up when you missed that "GHA CEM" sign at 12:03
20:07 nice. go vols!
I was just screaming at the screen at the last one, I'm a Dutchy so yeah
I really feel your community is free of toxic people who get offended by everything. It's hard to find such communities on the internet, well done
