- 10 Country Challenge is back with a vengeance and this time it's on Urban world. 10 is the number to beat.
Which format do you guys think is best for 10 country challenge, Urban or Diverse?

Just some hints which you can use to distinguish the languages, that use Cyrillic alphabet:
The letters ы and э are present: Russian
The letter i (with two dots) is present: Ukrainian; i with one dot is used also in Ukrainian and in Belarusian, although I'm not sure if there is Google Street View in Belarus.
The letters j, ђ, љ, њ, ћ: Serbian
The letters j, њ, љ, Ќ, Ѓ (the apostrophe at the top is important): Macedonian
The letter Ъ: definitely Bulgarian, but be careful for the short line at the top, because Ь, without it is used in other languages too.
The letters ң, ұ, ә: Most probably Kazakh, although I think they've recently switched to Latin alphabet.
The letter ϴ: Mongolian. They also like to put same letter next to each other, as in Улаанбаатар, for example :D
That's the shortest way I can put it, maybe some Cyrillic-using fellows can add other clues? ;)

If you see cyrillic (Russian writing) and you see the letter "i" you can assume you're not in Russia. They use it in the Ukrainian language, it might help you out.
They also use it in Belarussian

That flag in the last round is a variant of the Luxembourgian national flag. Some people use it because they think that the official one is too similar to the Dutch flag.
There was not a single thing that looked Dutch in the last round. Always look out for the red bike lane and the 30 by 30 concrete sidewalk tiles. Also NO HILLS! Keep up the good work. I realy like your videos.

I live in Luxembourg and I knew it was Luxembourg from the first frame alone. That house on the left is typically Luxembourgish. Mix of German and French cars with yellow plates, nearly always Luxembourgish. That flag hanging from the house across the street is the Luxembourgish coat of arms. And when he turned around, Cactus is a Luxembourgish supermarket.
I had the same feeling coming from the border to lux

Just a tip for differentiating between Luxembourg and The Netherlands: the sidewalks in The Netherlands are never made from asphalt but from square tiles, and there are bike lanes on or next to almost every road

So, I think Urban World 10 country is significantly easier than Diverse World 10 country. There are just often (not always) more hints, more language, stuff like that.
Honestly, what I want to see you do more often is play-alongs, however you want to do that stuff. But I'll watch anything!

This is the best series, you're not obsessively pedantic about your marker and are just loose, which makes the detectiveness of your guesses come out.
The reflective frame around crosswalk signs, the best way to tell it's Russia and not any other country with Cyrillic alphabet.

Y'know I feel like it'd be pretty cool if you dedicated a whole video to teaching us about the clues you pick up on, telling us what each country is characterized by in folliage and architecture and all that good stuff. Would be pretty useful as general trivia to get all that info from a guy as informed as you.

Yeah, I'm afraid that as a flag afficionado, I can tell you that the flag at the end is the old flag of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, I'm pretty sure.

The only hill I know of in Netherlands is part of Arnhem, a place called Het Dorp.... and there is a disabled village on top.... I stayed there a while ;)

@@waifubreaks1572 That's literally my point. Hawaii is even more technically part of the US than Guam, and yet nonetheless, I would not count it as a successful country pick if I went for Kentucky and it was actually Hawaii. That's halfway around the world! It's not in the spirit of the challenge.

I watch a lot of car crash videos, most coming from Russia, USA, Canada, China, UK, Australia, and parts of Europe. Russia has yellow-framed pedestrian crossing signs and sometimes digital timers on the traffic lights, features not seen in other eastern European countries. Anyway, those dash cam videos offer cheap peeks at streets and traffic in places I've never been to.
I got Ghana btw. GHACEM helped me, and also the politician poster because there is that everywhere when i had ghana

I tried this and in the first three rounds, I guessed correctly, but in the fourth round, I was dropped in the most "middle of nowhere" looking place in eastern Mongolia. I had nothing to go off of but sand and power lines. The only thing I could tell was that I was driving on the right and that I was in the northern hemisphere. I went with Colombia because it just looked like a flat desert with nothing in it. I got 4 points.
@GeoguessrWizard Dark Tranquillity is one of the masters of the "Melodic Death Metal" genre. I heavily recommend these guys, even if you're not a metalhead you might enjoy their song "Forward Momentum" from their latest album "Atoma". Cheers !
