  • Wanted to make this video because Alina and Zhenya will inevitably be paired again for years to come and we can't have the same fandom wars every time. Once we all realize that we are being encouraged for profit to act this way the quicker we can just enjoy our faves and let others enjoy theirs without useless fights.

      @liitbro 3 ปีที่แล้ว +106

      @@uroboros4260 There's no way that she can win olympics and it has nothing to do with her coach. She lost her competitive edge because she doesn't have the ultra-c elements, which is a must in current ladies' field, and Eteri has never trained a girl at her age to do triple axels and quads. I think she has visibly improved since she joined Brian, and the reason why she went back to eteri is probably because she couldn't train with Brian due to the pandemic.

    While Zhenya is my favourite skater, I support all of them including Alina and think they all deserve so much better than Eteri and the Russian media drama. What I've never understood is why Alina has stayed with Eteri all this time? As a Zhenya fan it makes me really sad to see how Alina was treated by Eteri at the Olympics, and as soon as she started to grow it was clear that Eteri's focus was on the 3A girls and not Alina. I think Alina has shown Eteri way more devotion than Eteri has shown her, and I wish that Alina could have moved to a better coach where she'd find more respect. Zhenya thrived so much more with Brian and she was Eteri's favourite, so imagine how much Alina could have thrived if she had gone to a healthy environment

She even said it herself that after winning Olympic gold, she lost motivation bc she pretty much got the highest accomplishment possible. She knew there was no way in hell she was going to beat the 3A girls hence why she went a different direction into tv. She’s “retired” from competing as far as Russian and the rest of the world is concerned she just hasn’t made it official bc of the money that is still coming in from her Olympic title. But then when i tried to watch events with commentary, and after the algorithm saw i liked Evgenia, Alina started popping up everywhere and i thought they were family or something, like cousins(? After deciding i was going to search them in the fandom (bc i watched by myself, never followed anyone on any social media nor took part on the groups or whatever in the fandom) i realized why the algorithm went that way. Still to this day i am able to think of them as separate -bc i actually didnt pay attention to Alina, im sorry, dont at me- but after that team event everyone went nutz and now i get why they appear togheter in those headlines or in the fandom. Now my focus is on the triple A Eteri girls, and there i can say i cant separate them (Sasha, Aliona, Anna), bc i think of one and i think of all three, gadly is not a negative thought, its just like oh waw they have this and that in common (being honest, Anna is the idel one, but my heart always roots for Aliona, Sasha on the other hand stresses me with all the crazy jumps but little care for other elements, she is indeed impressive but nope nope). In conclusion: What media does tho... jesus christ.

    I was a figure skater for years so I know how some of this works and let me tell you, the technique they are using would have been so painful for someone who is average weight like I was as a kid and teen. It's not supposed to be done like that because you legit can't do it anymore once you reach a certain weight. Even getting breasts changes things. Im not being dramatic. I'm speaking from experience. I understand why she returned to her coach. Having to change the way you've been doing it for so long you feel like you are starting over (again personal experience) and it's terrifying because it's like being a new Skater all over again.
