Great job, so good that even this disabled 72 year old (want to be rocker)! Sometimes things do need to be told and showed several times because it's important to the song! Above all Lauren, I never feel that you talk down to us, thank you for that and all things you do for us!!
Fun! Can you teach us how to play the “Ba-na-now-now, Ba-na-now-now” part also? I sing the electric guitar solo just like that too. Made me chuckle. Great lesson!
Hey Lauren another great simple song to play on the guitar would be the simple song called "Coco Jumbo !" by Mr President (mr Delroy Rennalls and that professional female lead singer from the 90's called "T Seven" with that cool lead pan flute melody line in it at the beginning as it only has 3 chords in it, A minor, F major and G major, and you put a capo on the 4th fret of your guitar to play this song as the chord progression goes like this : A minor to F major to G major then repeat , so you transpose the song to the key of A minor, but one you put the capo on the 4th fret of your guitar you can play in the original key of C# minor for this song if you do this you and your students will be able to match the original record precisely and you all will be able to play along with the original hit record from the radio or play along to the re recorded backing track! :)
Hi Lauren.. Love your videos.. But it seems to me you're mistaking about the picking pattern... Sounds more like : Quarter note on the first beat, two eight notes on the second beat and quarter note triplet on the third and fourth beats.. And that Three over Two on beats 3 & 4 is what makes this pattern so specific... even though Ringo's drumming sounds more like what you describe 😂... Which makes the whole thing a little weird when you listen closely to the two parts together...
