Hi Jennifer! I can't wait for Monday's video!! Because of you, I started IF in the middle of March and have lost as of Tuesday, have lost 17 lbs!!! I am so grateful for you all you share!! See you Saturday!! :)
You're not alone 😉 We do as well, and during the school year, it's how I welcome the children home. So sweet! Love others keep it up as well. It's great for the soul 😊
I started doing fasting after I saw a Dr who specializes in Diabetes, share information on YT and many including your channel share results. I researched and also worked with my primary care physician to begin fasting. The main thing I discovered is I am not hungry all the time😱 Thanks for sharing ❤️
It may sound odd but I consistently start my day with a dense salad. Arugula, spinach, pepper, radishes, celery, tomatoes, sliced olives, cheddar, sometimes a sliced hard boiled egg on top with my favorite Annie’s Shitake Mushroom dressing. 🤤
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with IF. I've been doing it for 3 weeks because of you and your subscribers' encouragement. I cannot change what I eat in this season of life and this method is working for me. I was almost eating this way but having dinner late and snacking after. It was not hard to adapt to 16/8 and making sure I stopped eating at least 3 hours before bed. I haven't seen dramatic improvements, which I wasn't looking for, but my weight is trending down. I can't wait for Monday's interview! Thank you and your subscribers so much for sharing! I'm hoping to make this a permanent lifestyle change.
Thanks Jennifer. You've inspired me to IF....I've tried it before where I start eating later and end it later and didn't have much success. I now do what you do: start eating around 9-10 and finished around 4-5. I've lost some of my PP weight after baby #5! 10 pounds down, 10 more to go! Ty for your inspiration. Appreciate your classy videos. And also, I have not removed any food groups from my diet. And I usually don't go back for seconds unless I'm still hungry. I did stop snacking as much. But I have a treat almost every day as well lol. And I still lost weight so ...I'm pretty happy.
I started Intermittent Fasting on Feb.14/24 (Valentine's Day). I am doing the 16/8 fast. I've already lost 7 lbs. in less than 2 months. I like to call it "MINDFUL EATING". I feel better, look better, eat better. I think not snacking after dinner is KEY. I am 69 years old. I am not seriously overweight but carry 10-15 lbs. that I could do without. It will be interesting to see how the rest of my journey goes.
I have been combining intermittent fasting with no-snacking and portion control and it has brought me to a BMI of 22.3. (5'2', 122 lbs) However losing weight has also brought my muscle mass down so clearly I need more exercise or at least walking. I need motivation for that! I have those Portmeirion dishes and I stopped using the 10 inch plates. I use the small one for breakfast and the 8 inch plate for dinner to trick my mind into seeing "plenty".
I've lost 15 pounds doing intermittent fasting and low carb/keto since March. It works! I do 16:8 and 3 meals a day. It gets easier the more you do it. I feel satisfied, not deprived. I'd like to lose 15-20 more pounds to reach my ideal weight. We'll see what happens. Thanks again for the inspiration, Jennifer!
@@lynnharrell9598 I did lose more, about 10 lbs. more. Not to my ideal weight, but still a healthy weight that is realistic to maintain. Overall, I'm happy with it and still doing the intermittent fasting and low-carb lifestyle.
I’ve found that since ensuring I eat protein at each meal, I’m fuller for longer and don’t snack. Since menopause-associated weight gain I also now have breakfast then either lunch or dinner is a small meal (and the other is ‘normal’). Win win as I don’t feel I’m ‘missing out’. Lots of water, lots of veggies and fruits. I don’t eat anything after our early dinner. Love your videos. Hi from Australia 🌸

Hi Jennifer, thanks for your series on international fasting. Because of you, I decided to try it. So far I've lost 4 pounds. As for food, I do the same thing- I eat the same thing until I tire of it. I thought that I was the only one who did that. I also like whole milk yogurt. Love your food choices. I wish you were my neighbor.😊
Everything looks so delicious!! In my opinion, that is the way to be healthy!! Eat a great healthy variety of food & then let your tummy rest & get flat, every day.
Lovely video, and you had your hair up. I love it when you do that. I find myself picturing you saying ‘ be calm and remain classy’. In fact, when I am out walking I find myself whispering these words to myself. My aim is to be as calm and graceful as you are. I may not achieve it but the journey is interesting. My posture had changed dramatically these last months and the lovely thing about it now is that I can maintain great posture without any effort. It is so satisfying. You are helping so many people in so many ways. Thank you.
Jennifer, I laughed a little when you said you eat the same thing until you tire of it. I am the same way!! If it's something I love and it's healthy why not do it. My husband is just the opposite and I would do things his way until last summer I decided I'm just just going to eat the same thing until I tire of it. It made life so much easier for me. It's great knowing I'm not the only one.

The roast chicken and grilled salmon looks delicious! I am not a good cook, could you tell me how you cooked each one, the temperature, time and any spices you used. Love your ideas they bring me peace :)
I have tried IF, but I get up very early and drink 2 cups of coffee with heavy cream, and stevia, and I can’t give that up, lol. I was eating no breakfast, coffee at 430am, lunch around 11am and supper around 530 to 7pm. I really lost no weight. I have done keto/low carb for the last 3 years. I lost 30 lbs and did great until the pandemic..gained back 7 to 10 lbs. I lose a few and gain back a few.. any suggestions?
Very nice ideas of what you eat in a day. Just one tip i' ve learnt the last year of low carb IF diet, if you aren't hungry you don't eat, so you could skip one meal if you don't feel hungry. Usually i have two meals per day with protein and veggies. Best regards
What happens when you dine out with friends? We eat out with people once a week. I prefer not to eat after 6 but often times our friends can’t meet until 6 or 6:30. Would you compensate by eating later the next day? How would you get back on schedule?
Thanks so much for the time that you take to make these wonderful videos… I really enjoy them so please keep them coming! Also really enjoyed this topic and have started intermittent fasting thanks to your suggestion. I’m one of those people who have only lost 4 pounds in about a month but I still am enjoying the practice and the journey overall. Can’t wait to see Monday’s video interview.
I am the same way with certain foods. I eat the same food for three weeks straight, then I’m satisfied and onto another food. Yes, for three weeks. Why my body has chosen that specific time frame is a mystery to me! Thank you for sharing.
IF is actually contraindicated for PCOS as it creates additional stress on the body. My dietician has told me that a gentler more natural 12 hour overnight fast has benefits while not adding the stress that a 16 hour fast does. See a PCOS dietician for more tailored info!
@@NJsweetie that is interesting, thank you for sharing and I will look into it! I'm frustrated because the doctors I've seen act like PCOS is a big mystery and they just want to stick me on birth control, which I don't not want at 41 years old.
I’ve had the same experience...I think looking for a dietician who specializes in pcos helps a ton. The idea is to keep blood sugar stable by eating complex carbs, healthy fat, protein, and veggies all together at meals...eating every 3-5 hours throughout the day to keep blood sugar stable. Stable blood sugar helps to balance hormones like insulin and testosterone and keeps cortisol lower. Lots of trendy “diet” advice online like IF and Keto will only make pcos worse. Hope this helps!
Hello Jennifer! Thank you for all of your fabulous videos. It is always such a pleasure to learn from such a lovely person. I am fascinated with this intermittent fasting and look forward to your Monday video. You look amazing and inspire me to be my best ever day! Blessings and love to you! 💗
I agree Elizabeth, her videos are inspiring. It's great to have people on the internet to motivate us. It helps me stick with the intermittent fasting. I just noticed your German last name and pretty face, and it caught my attention. I also come from German ancestry from the 1800's when my ancestors immigrated to the US. Us Germans have to stick together LOL.
I am glad that I am not alone with enjoying after noon tea . I guess it also depends on where your from ? My mom is from France and takes time out for her tea .
I love the portion control you display on your plates. May I ask, what size plate/bowl you use? When I was evaluating my weight gain, I really stopped doing two things: IF and bottom line I ate too much. I used to be a somewhat petite eater compared to others. But, eventually, my appetite increased due to chronic over eating. Now, I’ve started back on 16:8 fasting and counting calories (for now) until I understand/relearned what good portion control looks like at each meal. Thanks again for this video and all that are like this, they are very inspiring!
Good morning Jennifer. I really appreciate and enjoy your videos. I am doing the IF with my husband. I am looking forward to your video on Monday! Thank you for showing your meals. They give me inspiration to make healthy meals.
Bonjour Jennifer. Francoise Marie.
I love the variety of foods you eat. Glad you allow yourself treats. I love my carbs! Lol. And i am always wondering where your kiddos are, considering my tea time consists of multiple interruptions ☺️ Pool time sounds lovely!
I am so excited about your video for Monday. I really enjoy my experience with IF and am always excited to gain more knowledge. Thanks so much for taking us on this journey with you.
Thank you Jennifer for the beautiful inspiration! Are you saying that the only thing you changed from your weight loss season to your maintenance was adding cream to your morning coffee?☕️🌼
I have had a love/ hate relationship with IF because of meds but I’m doing what I can and feeling more in control. I’ve lost size for sure and am less swollen. That’s saying a lot for living in the hot south. I’m sure Monday is going to be a fun listen 💖 I’m glad I’m not the only one who has random, grab what you can eat days.
I was late in watching the video where you spoke about helping your children learn manners by watching etc. I think it would be so neat if there were a 'Connoisseur Kids' curriculum, with a few classes we could take our children through, and maybe give them a little print out certificate when we are done.
I love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing your experience with Intermittent Fasting and for the interview with Dr. Patty Tae. I believe I can do this - especially the 16/8 method. I do have a question: have any of your commenters said that IF has helped reduce or eliminate their GERD? I have had acid reflux for decades, and would like to get off of the medication. Thank you!
So I am new to this journey of the 16:8 and was wondering after watching this video, when your not even hungry-you still eat 3 meals a day? Just curious, because I personally am finding that I get only 2 meals a day in. Do you think this will hamper my results? Thank you for another great video!!
This was so helpful to see what you eat during meals and times you have meals. I'm still working on getting my evening meal a bit earlier. It's getting better, but sometimes neither of us are quite hungry at 5pm. (usually happens if we have on 'off-kilter' day & run late all day long!
Hi Jennifer thanks so much for your videos. I just subscribed :). I d like to know that as a beginner to IF, how many days are best to start with? Is it important to do IF all week? Also, does 12 hour window as mimimum time helps with weightloss for a begginer? Im unable to do 16:8. Many thanks!!
Hi all, I am finding that after about 2 weeks of I.F. My belt size is the same, which is somewhat disappointing. Did anyone else find this? I am 65, in case that has anything to do with it.
I would really like to know what to do if something unplanned happens for example a dinner dates Unfortunately in Greece we eat rather late.Would it be a problem for weight loss if someone uses the 13 -21 window(1pm-9pm)?
Hi Jennifer! Love you channel. Do you workout in addition to your fasting? As a busy homeschool/farming mama, I am finding I am just so tired that by the time it’s time for a workout...I’m done. Having some results with the intermittent fasting, but have minds hit a plateau it seens
Hi Jennifer, the pasta dish looks so good! We made it after I saw you make it last time and wow, it was so delicious! I wanted to ask, what size is your plate? I have 8 inch and 10 inch plates and wanted to try using the same plate size you do to help me control portion size without having to think about it :) I/F has been so wonderful for me! Thank you
Hi Jennifer. I have a quick question about IF. When you started it and were trying to lose weight, did you have your teatime with a treat each day or did that start after you lost the weight that you wanted to??
Yes! I have never changed the way I eat. I never restricted teatime or any other desserts. Just the time was adjusted (and the black coffee initially).
If I could say, in addition to IF you also eat relatively small portions. Is that because the fasting curbs your appetite? It has for me, when I've done it!
I also feel that the portions are very small. I know all people eat differently, but it’s hard to think you can be satisfied from the amounts on these plates. Just shows that we are all different…
It is always interesting what you have on your plate. 🍲🍓🍐 I look forward to listen to Dr Patty Tae. I wonder if she is familiar with obesity caused by lipoedema? 11% of women suffer from this genetic disease still very much ignored by medical experts.
So interesting to see what you eat in a day, thank you for sharing! Everything looks delicious & beautiful! I was wondering, though, if you have ever spoken to a nutritionist in case your menu could be tweaked for optimum health & nutrition? I am a little bit shocked by your modest amount of vegetables for the day. I try to add 6 servings of various vegetables (75g each x 3 to lunch & dinner) and have had no problem losing weight. In fact, I am at a stopping point after losing 45 lbs or else I will soon be underweight! Perhaps I will try switching to full fat (but lactose-free for me) dairy as you do. And what a scrumptious yogurt breakfast you had on Sample Day 1! During my weight loss experience, I also learned some interesting information on using measurements to determine bone size (ie: are you really big-boned or small-boned?), to calculate my Basal Metabolic Rate, percentage of body fat, “ideal” waist-to-hip ratio and other indicators of good health beyond just “losing weight” which, of course, varies for each of us. It’s been eye-opening to find out what my body should look like & what range I could aim for and you might find it fascinating, too! And it is actually very empowering to figure out our body’s “truth” for good health with a measuring tape & calculator. It also is so nice to diet confidently with the knowledge of when to stop & maintain your weight/measurements. Maybe it would be a good topic for your next video? Thank you so much for the inspiring peek into your IF day-to-day life! Your gorgeous blue dishes bring such joy to my eyes. 🦋🍽

Yes
Thanks so much for the time that you take to make these wonderful videos… I really enjoy them so please keep them coming! Also really enjoyed this topic and have started intermittent fasting thanks to your suggestion. I’m one of those people who have only lost 4 pounds in about a month but I still am enjoying the practice and the journey overall. Can’t wait to see Monday’s video interview.
That is about the rate at which I lost my weight. It takes time. You'll enjoy Monday's video!
I am the same way with certain foods. I eat the same food for three weeks straight, then I’m satisfied and onto another food. Yes, for three weeks. Why my body has chosen that specific time frame is a mystery to me! Thank you for sharing.
Very helpful video. Thank you, Jennifer!
I just started intermittent fasting, so thank you for the IF encouragement!!
I've been diagnosed with PCOS and want to try IF. Thanks for sharing your menu! I enjoy afternoon tea also :)
Would suggest the book the PCOS Plan by Nadia Pataguano and Dr. Jason Fung
Great video Jennifer! I am just wondering if you take regular table sugar for your tea or some form of sweetener. Thanks.
Hello Jennifer! Thank you for all of your fabulous videos. It is always such a pleasure to learn from such a lovely person. I am fascinated with this intermittent fasting and look forward to your Monday video. You look amazing and inspire me to be my best ever day! Blessings and love to you! 💗
Thank you so much, Elizabeth!
I love everything about your channel!
I am glad that I am not alone with enjoying after noon tea . I guess it also depends on where your from ? My mom is from France and takes time out for her tea .
Thanks Jennifer, for the video! Can’t wait til mondays video, sounds great. Have a great day, Cindy 🌻💗
She may not want them in her videos. I would be the same.
Meals look delightful, thanks for sending me a notification.
Hi, thanks so much for this video, would like to know how long your tea time lasts🤗 have to do this love love love to read🥰
Delighted to find this b4 I go to market 💙 #ThankYou ladyScott
This is one of my favourite breakfasts or snack! Love yogurt with berries and walnuts!!
Recently found your channel and love it!!😊
I adore your What I Eat videos! I eat very similar meals without fasting times. Please please please share the homemade cinnamon roll recipe?
Thank you! The dress in that green is a great color on you.
I was late in watching the video where you spoke about helping your children learn manners by watching etc. I think it would be so neat if there were a 'Connoisseur Kids' curriculum, with a few classes we could take our children through, and maybe give them a little print out certificate when we are done.
I do the same thing with breakfast-eat the same thing everyday until I get tired of it ☺️
Thanks for sharing. I have lost 15kg on IF.
Thanks for sharing this, everything looks delicious! Your dress really brings out your eyes, lovely!
Do you feed your kids the same things that you eat or do they eat differently?
That breakfast looks so yummy! I looove fruit, especially in the summer. Love these videos!
Thank you!
Your videos are like informational asmr:) love that you eat real balanced food and healthy portion sizes ❤️❤️ yummy.
So I am new to this journey of the 16:8 and was wondering after watching this video, when your not even hungry-you still eat 3 meals a day? Just curious, because I personally am finding that I get only 2 meals a day in. Do you think this will hamper my results? Thank you for another great video!!
Inspiring! Food prep is my weak spot. I wish I could.prepare such healthy food all day!
Jennifer, how do you decide on your portion sizes and combination of foods? Thanks!
Our summer berries in the UK are just starting to taste very good. Strawberries will be on my menu most days for a wee while.
Great video! Perhaps you could do a video or share your recipe for your cinnamon rolls?! They look delicious!
Thank you
That's great! The Portmeirion and Spode dinner plates are roughly 10.5 inches.
Do you have videos of what you eat in a day while you WERE trying to lose weight? I really do like your practical approach to IF :)
Just doing laundry, listening to this. Then I hear this magical sound and cant figure out where it's coming from...your windchimes are lovely 🤣
Did you also work out to lose weight? I’m following your IF schedule
If I could say, in addition to IF you also eat relatively small portions. Is that because the fasting curbs your appetite? It has for me, when I've done it!
I've always had the same portions... some people think they are small but others comment that they are large portions...
I also feel that the portions are very small. I know all people eat differently, but it’s hard to think you can be satisfied from the amounts on these plates. Just shows that we are all different…
American portions in general are oversized. In Europe and other continents/countries they are MUCH smaller.
I know I definitely fill my plate too much and eat way past "full". This is my reminder for smaller portions! X
It is always interesting what you have on your plate. 🍲🍓🍐 I look forward to listen to Dr Patty Tae. I wonder if she is familiar with obesity caused by lipoedema? 11% of women suffer from this genetic disease still very much ignored by medical experts.
What is the song at the end of your videos?
This colour looks beautiful on you.
What about your pre-dinner aperitif?
How much salt do you add to how much water? Do you do this with your water throughout the day as well? Thanks.
