    Performance Notes:
One of the most recognizable in all of opera, the “Queen of the Night Aria” is famous for its extreme high range and rageful delivery. “Hell’s vengeance boils in my heart” has the Queen of the Night handing a knife to her daughter and commanding her to kill her chief rival, Sarastro.
    Lyrics:
Hell's vengeance boils in my heart,
Death and despair blaze about me!
Feels not through you Sarastro pains of death, Then you will not be my daughter anymore:
    Disowned be you forever,
    Abandoned be you forever,
    Destroyed be forever
    All the bonds of nature.
If not through you Sarastro will turn pale! Hear, gods of revenge, hear the mother's oath

Enormous respect for Eb cornett players.
I used to play cornett in my brass band. But the Eb cornett player had to be high up there above the rest of us.

Both are great versions, however since the original is also higher pitched (soprano voice) I lean towards the Eb cornet's rendition. Thanks for making & sharing another excellent recording + video!

I Like both equally. If I close my eyes and get in the mood of both I picture the crisp clear tone of the cornet piercing through thick mist of an early morning in an Valley with a river. In contrast to that the warmth and full tone of the euphonium at an Sommers eve on a mountain echoing from the top.

      Hello Matonizz,
      wonderful playing!
I have a question about the intonation of the JP Euph.
In a former video you said, that you always would go with a tuningslide trigger.
      Now you don't use one.
Is the intonation that good now or is there some post-processing included?
      Thanks in advance.
      Best regards
      Euph97
