Mr Asue Ighodalo’s journey paying to serve began at the 1st ever Nigerian Economic Summit in 1993.
Undeterred, his journey continued throughout the years, and he joined the Board of Directors in 2004.
In continual service, Asue became the second vice chair in 2015 and the Chairman Nigerian Economic Summit Group from 2018 to 2022.
Mr Ighodalo led the NESG board during one of the most challenging periods in the history of Nigeria and the world at large. The world experienced a recession and a pandemic.
During his time leading the board, initiatives such as the Policy Innovation Centre, Bridge Fellowship, Fiscal Policy Roundtable, Debt Management Roundtable and the Ernest Shonekan Centre for Economic Development were birthed.
