Just a reminder that Pro Bowler Fletcher Cox was injured and Jalen Carter started in his place ...
The NFL season is longer than college, even longer with a playoff run. Thus I feel they're trying not to burn him out a rely on Fletcher more.

I saw that first Jalen Carter play but geeeez Reid has such great instincts on that pbu too. Not bad coming down matching vs Kupp. Carter is already going beyond what Hargrave was last year. Hargrave was great and Carter is already pushing epic.

At 1:10 Hassan Reddick pushes his guy about 5 yards 1 on 1 holeh foook that boy is strong. Can’t ignore his performance during this game.
If Carter can keep this up, the sky is the limit. He can still get in better shape. He still has some baby fat on him. He has incredible talent, imagine how good he can be once he gets more experience. DTs usually take time to develop. Carter is getting by on pure talent now, once he gets more experience and learns how to use more leverage and learns how teams are scheming him, look out.
He plays football like Thor.
Crazy thing is, he is going to get better with more experience. Scary 😨

Could you do a breakdown on what changes the Eagles made to shutout McVay and the rams in the 2nd half. Looked to me like they switched to match zone from man and it allowed their d line to get to Stafford easier then when they were manning up in cover 1

Everything starts with the hands, Carter has violent hands. He's got that wiggle too, he's very shifty. He's a problem for any offense. He's already surpassed Hargrave. Hargrave is a great pass rusher, but he's a liability vs the run. Carter is very stout against the run.

Yall gotta understand JD is not a pass rushing DT hes a run stopper.. his job is to clock up run lanes whenever theres a run between the tackles hes usually in the mix. We just notice jalen carter because hes the more flashy DT jordan davis does all the dirty work
He should be a senior in college. He is this good and he will get better. That’s scary. He will 100% get better if he is committed and is injury free. It’s not possible he doesn’t. He’s eventually is gonna be mentally better by natural maturing football wise. He’s unreal.

Jordan Davis more of a run stopper, jalen is a pass rusher, something like Donald. There is a difference.
@@gang7708 I see. But in this play, Davis gets swept aside quite easily by a rookie lineman, whereas Carter... the guy has amazing technique. They were all saying that he was the best player in the draft. Now I see why
