I watched part of this game. The man literally broke through the line with ease in almost every snap. There was one play where he was double teamed. He literally strong-armed both of them and looked effortless doing it. 8 teams F'd this up. I would have taken him if I were Seattle. He clearly looks better than most DT, although my guy Keeanu Benton has started to look pretty good.

Well really 5 teams messed up. 3 teams needed a quarterback and when you need a quarterback and there is one available you take them. It doesn't always work out but you can't build a team until you have a quarterback because if you don't that's how you become the jets. They have so many talented players but they won't go anywhere because they don't have a quarterback. Carter was only an option for the 5 teams that have their quarterback of the future or at least think they do.

John Middlecoff made a great point about this at the draft. Jalen Carter is familiar with all of the SEC guys.. on top of that, they have guys like Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox in the locker room. You’re not gonna act like an idiot off the field with those guys, then walk in the locker room and look at them in the face. He has never beaten any tackle with talent and never will. He cannot play on the strong side and never will. Even on the weak side he isn't great. All he can do is rush the backfield. Look at AR5's second TD run vs Houston, he just casually runs right by Will. Any good coach and QB will exploit Will's lack of skill by throwing screens to his side. Dude is a clown. Nick Caserio is a clown. The only thing that saves this team is that CJ looks like he is going to be great. And if CJ can get us in the lead, then Will can be useful since rushing blindly into the backfield is exactly what you want. CJ is the only thing that can make Will good. That's F'n sad. The Falcons passed on this wrecking ball at the #8 pick in the first round.
And this becomes yet another critical mistake in a history of critical mistakes in Atlanta Falcons history.
The first mistake occurred after its founding when Rankin Smith wanted Vince Lombardi to be the coach. Lombardi was interested, in 1965-66, but he wanted to come in as co-owner and Smith rejected this as a possibility. The Packers’ defensive backs coach, Norb Hecker was then hired as the first Falcons head coach.
But Smith was in no mood or mindset to give a coach time to develop a team, like the Cowboys’ organization built a winning tradition by keeping Tom Landry from the team’s founding through 1989 when the team was sold and Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson replaced Landry and continued the winning tradition.
And Norm Van Brocklin, the next coach, had the team on the rise till Smith and Atlanta’s puritanical crowd demanded Van Brocklin’s ouster because Van Brocklin confronted a sports reporter and had words with him.
    I could go on.
It’s the Falcons wheel of Karma, and release , somehow, will certainly be nirvana.

As in giving up a pick in the trade when they almost assuredly would still have gotten him without the trade. REWATCH THE DRAFT. it wasn't like it was a massive theft.
