In this video the Stunt Man shows off his new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Trail boss with the 6.2 L V8 and does a 1/4 Mile run using the Draggy. #lsxmotorsports LSx Motorsports
Yeah I agree. The RST is lower and has street tires with a higher speed rating. Still pretty impressive that an off road truck is faster that the Camaros and Mustangs from the 90s.
Yes for towing and high altitude upstate ny and mountain area the 3.5TT is great if you want to build it fast a coyote is better but I think the 6.2l Chevy with 10 speed feels like a proper truck motor
@@ssgviper7147I wish mine would go back to normal to be honest. Cold starts with the 6.2 in sport are LOUD! I love the sound but the neighbors might not early in the morning.
@@mrcarpentersc I'm the opposite, in wish it would just stay in sport. It's quieter than the other vehicles in my fleet. The neighbors are used to it by now. 😂
Iliteraly just got the identical truck on 1.2.24 Black Z71 trailboss LT 6.2 only difference is i have silver 6.2 badge on hood and the Z71 badge is silver and red . feels like its strong runner but i only have 240 miles on it so i will find out soon ..My 21 f150 ecoboost max tow pkg 3.55 gear was fast 0-60 5.1 13.59 102.6 in xlt trim .
These trucks are as fast as some of the fastest cars of the 60s muscle car error . Lmao we had a 67 Buick GS 400 that ran 13.90 at 100.1 in stock class back in the day and it was a mid pack performance car these trucks would embarrass a lot of cars .
He actually said he hit the speed limiter towards the end of that 1/4 mile run. We probably won't do any computer tuning on it until after the warranty is up. Had some bad luck with his 2021 trail boss. Blew up 2 engines which were covered under warranty that's why he traded for a new 2024.
I really don't know what the limiter set at. I had to go back and watch the video it hit 99 mph and I couldn't hear where it shut off so it may be a little higher than 98 or maybe it is slow to turn off the fuel. Or the Draggy could be reading a little high on the MPH too. But I do remember him saying it did shut down shortly after the 1/4 mile.
Don't think there is any tuning available for the 23-24s yet. Hopefully soon. Didn't realize it until after I picked up my 24 HC 6.2 @@LSxMotorsports2021
So this 2024 Trail boss is Speed limited to 110 MPH
If you want a Chevy with a faster truck the rst is faster

So this new one has a sport mode that STAYS in sport mode…finally 🙌🏻. Good looking truck man!
Yeah it's a nice truck. Sounds alot better in person than what comes through on the cameras microphone.

The sport mode must be a 6.2 or TB thing, the 5.3 RST still wants ya to earn it
very cool that it has NPP. didnt know the new trucks had that. The new interior is sweet. Congrats
I just got a 2024 trail boss 6.2 if you drive like a grandpa in sport mode, it will go back to normal mode.
Strange..Mine stays in sport no matter how I drive with my 24.
@@mrcarpentersc I watched it closely in case it was a fluke, it went back to normal from sport on two other sperate occasions.

He loves his black vehicles haha 😂
Hard to keep clean but definitely looks good.
@@LSxMotorsports2021 agreed 👍
Hey do you know what plug your alternator has? Is it a 2 wire plug? Thank you
13.7 @ 100 lmao pretty insane these trucks move like that . my 1993 Lt1 Z28 ran 13.8 101.mph
Yeah I agree these new cars and trucks today run incredibly fast compared to what was considered fast 20 years ago.

Congratulations on the new truck. And yeah those ecoboost fords work great as does the 5L Ford.

Yep I agree. But the old muscle cars are still cooler 👍
How did you get your screen to display only the date and temperature?
That's what it displays when you hold the power button to turn off the radio.
What did you guys use to remove the speed limiter? Not seeing anything out for the 2024’s yet.

@@LSxMotorsports2021 ahhh okay I gotcha. Weird though, I thought all trail bosses were limited to 98 mph.

If they can't be tuned yet it won't be long before they can be tuned.
