Dear Subscribers, followers, nature lovers and TH-camrs, please excuse our lack of engagement with your comments over the last few videos. I (Pieter) welcomed my second son into the world a week ago and it's been pretty manic (in the best possible way). I will get back to engaging with you all as soon as I can. We really appreciate all your support, likes and comments!

The only reason the lion got away, was because the crocodile accidentally got distracted biting the hippo carcass, giving the lion time to get away.
I don't think this has anything to do with respect, animals don't think that way lol.

@@Unknownuser-vq9ul Perhaps is because I don´t speak english. When I say they respect each other is that both of them know how deadly the other one could be. So they have to be smart if they want to attack. If you see they always attack smartly, when they think they´ll win... not by impulse like if the other one was a zebra.

The croc's charge both times was to scare the Lion rather than to catch a hold of it. A croc wouldn't miss by that much if it didn't want to. The croc is probably aware that the Lion is no lightweight like cheetah and it just wanted the Lion out of the water so that it could feed on the hippo carcass.
