49ers vs Packers is an underrated playoff rivalry imo.
Packers vs any NFC West team is a good game.
Packers won in 1995, 1996, 1997, 2001 and the Niners in 1998, 2012, 2013, 2019. First team to 5 wins😂
@@tonypreston7278 Rice still fumbled in '98 though
How is it underrated? Lol It’s one of the best rivalries from the 90’s
@@tonypreston7278 If you could change one super bowl outcome. Which one would you change?
Fun fact: During the beginning of this game, the Mile High Miracle was still being played. The game went into 2OT and didn’t end for another solid 15 minutes after kickoff.
Whoa 🤯! So there were 2 good games going on! With 2 SB teams making things interesting
@@pantherteen1997 Yeah pretty cool if you ask me. If you go on the full FOX broadcast they do a game break showing the conclusion of the game. I just find it really weird that there was a game break during a playoff game 😂😂
2 phenomenal games were played that day.
Tbh, Colin kapernick>jimmy g
@@thegolderlock I agree this cap is nice but people forget the dude was dog shit after this
Couple Fun Facts:
Jim Harbaugh is 4-0 vs Green Bay in his career.
The 49ers and Packers played on opening day AND in the playoffs in 2012 and 2013. All 4 of those games were won by the 49ers.
The last 4 times the 49ers made the playoffs (not including this year) they at least made it to the NFC Championship Game.
Edit: Since this post the 49ers have beaten the Packers two more times in the playoffs!!
people sleep on them all the time and they always go deep because of it. (cowboys just did so), much like the 2019 titans. everybody looked past them apart from the chiefs and they made it deep because of it. its any given sunday for a reason. 🤷🏽♂️
Make that the last 5 times the niners have made it the NFC Champ Game!!! And 4-0 against the Pack in the last 4 meetings in the playoffs.
@@lildog6503 LETS GOOO!!
@@ThePhoenix1 as a pats fan, we never looked passed the titans, we just sucked ass that season, we lost to dolphins for crying out loud in our own turf, which was a sign
They also faced the Seahawks opening day in 2014 and lost. Then went on to lose to them in the playoffs to end their season. So 3 years in a row they repeated that weird little feat.
From 2010-2016, I remember alot of great NFC playoff games between Seattle, Green Bay, San Fran, and Atlanta. Those 4 teams specifically.
Don’t forget the Saints
Panthers too
Carolina as well
That's because we were THE literal NFL at that time. Seattle always had great playoff games.
"Alot" ...2 words - A Lot
Crazy how fast Kap was. He was probably the fastest man on that field that night.
That TD run was just pure speed. It felt like all those packer players had glue on their cleats and CK had a “Grease Lightning” cheat code.
No doubt about it! I think a lot of people failed to realize (at the time) just how fast he was because of how big he was. That long frame of his made it seem as though he wasn't moving as fast as he actually was. But then you'd see him blowing by defenders like they were standing still... He was FAST!
He’s faster in a straight line than Lamar Jackson
Ted Ginn and Randy Miss were on that field that night
@@carolinahoodbilly old af
Greg Roman still running this same offense 10 years later with the ravens lol
There's call adjustments but no that's not the Greg Roman way
This was the start of the 49ers owning the Aaron Rodgers Packers in the playoffs.
Man Kap was so cold it’s a shame he didn’t get to fulfill his career
Got too political
Just can’t throw the ball lmao
Bruh he started to suck
@@nickluna1723 he ain’t have nobody around him after 2014
He became Raheem Kaepernick Shabazz with the Ronald Mcdonald afro
This was actually the last playoff game ever at Candlestick Park. RIP to one of the greatest stadiums ever.
A whole lot better the Levi
It was said actually that it was one of the worst stadiums and it was a dump but to be honest I wouldn't change it for the world and even though the new stadium this one of the most advanced technology stadiums of today I would still pay for candlestick Park...
As of 49er fan I wish they still played in San Francisco and San Francisco owners wanted to stay in San Francisco but the city officials didn't want to help pay for the new stadium
@@achilles9448 I went there many times as a kid and it was perfect to me. Prefer those stadiums over primped up domes, it feels like real football.
@@deiradinn cope, they should call themselves the Santa Clara 49erd
Damn, it's really been 10 years since this game happened but it feels like it was just a few years ago, now I feel really old
Only 9 years! Game was played in January of 2013 so you can feel one year younger now 😂
9 years but yeah it seems like just yesterday I remember the entire 2012-13 playoffs.
From RG3 injury to Mile High Miracle to the Harbaugh Bowl

Remember this like it was yesterday, what a performance by Kap ❤️💛
Damn I forgot Randy Moss played this much into the 2010’s that’s crazy.
Tbf it was basically just this year. He didn't play the year before and bounced around the year before that
Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, NaVorro Bowman, Patrick Willis, Dashon Goldson, and Donte Whitner. Those are the Pro Bowl players form the defense alone in 2012. I loved this team.
Same day as Flacco's mile high miracle
That game was insane
Kap balled tf out this game… What a time
The NFC Championship game in 2012 really should have been Seattle @ San Francisco. That would’ve been another all time classic game.
Yeah but Falcons were loaded too.
Russell Wilson set the rookie playoff passing record and let a 20 point comeback but the LOB gave up 41 yards in 23 seconds and Pete Carroll called timeout when the Falcons missed the GW FG
i mean, the Falcons game was pretty good too
I remember watching this game. It feels so long ago, honestly this is the first time a video makes me feel old and Im only 17
Between this, the double OT game in Denver, and the Falcons-Seahawks game, 2012-13 divisional was a very entertaining weekend of football
This was a rough game for us packers fans
2023 anyone?
Who's got it better than us????
What a very good run we had that 2012 year with all the talent and defense, still hurts not to win it all in the end. The Purdy run reminds me of the kaepeenick Era he had us on a roll !!!!
Watching kap and Jim Harbaugh was so fun.
Kap was as fast as the top WR. He was a true duel threat.
Just like the wild card round, every divisional matchup has happened before
Most Recently:
CIN vs TEN: 1990 Wild Card (CIN 41-14 HOU Oilers)
KC vs BUF: 2020 AFC Championship (KC 38-24 BUF)
GB vs SF: 2019 NFC Championship (SF 37-20 GB)
TB vs LAR: 1999 NFC Championship (STL Rams 11-6 TB)
Just checked: every possible Conference Championship matchup has happened before *except* Bengals vs Chiefs
Bills and the chiefs also play eachother in the afc championship every 27 years
2012 NFC championship game 49ers vs Falcons
Kap was amazing
RIP to greatest stadium ever Kap and Crabtree was a amazing duo and especially the defense was scary to play with on the old madden
That 49ers defense wasn’t really the same when Justin Smith got hurt and had to play through his injury
Bro why that pfp so 🔥🔥🔥
Kap forever one of my favorites.
Kap was clutch and playing at a high level man with that defese
It's so weird that Randy Moss was on this 9ers team
the 49ers had Crabtree, Mario Manningham (who was on IR), Randy Moss and 1st round bust AJ Jenkins for their wide receivers
2 legends going against eachother
Forgot this game started with a pick 6 by green bay, they were definitely the masters of choking after that 2010 super bowl win
Great to see all the hits with no penalties like todays game.
Kap the HERO
And still is
Not anymore. Woke people are more villains than heroes.
@@finchborat LoL you're a nobody. Colin Kapernick is somebody.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld A somebody that no one likes or wants (outside of his delusional cult following).
@@finchborat Kaepernick doesn't have a cult following. The only cult following is the Aaron Rodgers cult following.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld Kaep does have a cult following. You're one of them.
Lmao at nfl promoting kaepernick on the thumbnail 5 years after they blackballed him
Man I miss this era of football so much, early 2010s were goated until no one was left to rival Brady’s pats
Colin is what most teams look for in a QB nowadays
Hurts seeing smith on the sidelines after all he did for the team. Kap was unreal this year, but man. Always wonder what if he never got hurt, he was finally starting to play really good 😭
Rand moss was on the 49ers damn I watched this game and forgot about that dude played forever
But according to Kaep haters he got carried by a great defense
When Harbaugh left his career went to shit unfortunately
what a big butt whooping the 49ers gave to the packers. It was a pleasure to watch.
I remember missing the first quarter of this game because the Mile High Miracle went into 2OT. Good times.
Colin K was fantastic in this game. I have no idea why he is not in the NFL today at least as a back up.
colin was so amazing i miss him
Man, what a great game. What a historic night for the Niners. Kap has one of those long strides that you cannot keep up with.
Miss candle stick , I really just miss the old nfl
I was just thinking about what follows the next week is the Falcons collapse that no one ever talks about anymore.
man kaep was a dawg. had a canon for an arm and crazy speed
Man, #7 was special
Back when all u had to do was call a read option and the defense had no clue what to do
Anybody else totally forget Randy Moss was on this Niners team?? 😱🤯
History repeats itself.
I don’t know what was better; the Smith brothers d-line, or the Bowman willis linebackers sheesh
They just had a stacked defense that year in general. Nothing wrong with picking one option over the other
I miss this era of NFL
Damn, sucks he chose politics over his sport career.
This was such a great 49ers squad! I remember watching this game. Kaepernick ran allover green bay
Can’t believe this is 10 years ago wow man time flies
I can’t be the only one watching Randy Moss on every snap he’s out there 🤩
Miss Kap
niners were stacked that year
It’s 2022 49ers fans…don’t let this game fool you.
Kap was never a problem on the field. And yet people act like it’s his on field ability 😂
Holy crap i completely forgot Randy moss played for the 49ers
Rodgers now 0-4 vs my Niners when counts most
That made my day
Running QBs have a shelf life. Especially the fools!
That 49ers team was so great. So happy to see them win the Superbowl that year!
They didn't win the super bowl that year. They went to the Super Bowl that year.
They didn't win...
They didn't win it. Pfft
Casual ravens won the super bowl that year
Oh... fun fact then, this great 49ers team did not win the super bowl this year.
KAP 😗 💪🏽
I remember seeing Kaep throw that pick 6 to start and I thought "Ya this guy can't pass/doesn't have what it takes," boy was I wrong, for a year n a half lol
Crabtree Kaepernick's favorite receiver! Dam as a 9er Fan he shouldn't throw it to him in the NFCCG against Seattle
And people say Kap couldnt play smh. Bro was a menace
Then Kaepernick was fast but declined terribly when Harbaugh left....then he became Raheem Kaepernick Shabazz.
That look on Roger's face when the 9ers didn't draft him🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who’s here after Jordan Love comes to the bay to face Brock Purdy to kick off the new era of the rivalry?
Me. Round 10 in this famous postseason rivalry.
Remember that game, a day before my 10th birthday and it served as a really nice birthday gift
Kap went crazy
The 49ers had some straight up beasts on defense
Going with Kap is a bold move, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off...
Who’s here after Justin Fields came within 4 yards of beating this record?
This was really almost a decade ago? Are you kidding me
I actually thought LaMichael James would be a decent force in the NFL. He was so dominant in College at Organ for the Ducks. Drafted in 2012 back in a time when RB’s were still taken high in drafts. He was selected in the 2nd round pick #61. James only played from 2012 - 2015
He suited up for the 49ers and finishing his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins.
James ended his NFL career with
193 Rushing Yards
4.4 Average Yards Per Attempt
45 Receiving Yards
1,043 Return Yards
1 Touchdown
But had a very stellar College Football Career
At Organ he won the Doak Walker Award (2010)
2 X First Team All-American (2010,2011)
2 X First Team All-Pac-10/Pac12 ( 2010,2011)
3 X Pac10/Pac12 Champion ( 2009-2011 )
Pac 10 Offensive Freshman of the year in 2009
Colin was that dude period
Kaepernick was an amazing quarterback. I wish the Vikings would pick him up
That window has been closed for a long time. He's been out for 5 years. He ain't coming back.
saudades do Candlestick Park, a atmosfera de lá era impressionante. Desde 2012 o Special Team do Green Bay Packers ferra com o time e Aaron Rogers perde para o seu time de infância.
The good old days . Love my niners !
Out of all Aaron Rodgers Choke Jobs in the playoffs this was my favorite !!! Everyone blamed the defense, while the offense scored 3 points in the 2nd half and a TD when the game was done !!!
Green Bay Packers Against San Francisco 49ers From The 70s 80s And Early 90s ☺🏈Thanks For Uploading
Just realized the Niners have had Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens and Randy Moss..
Dom Capers was the biggest choke artist of a DC I've ever seen, how he lasted so long in GB will always amaze me
His defense essentially won the NFCCG in 2014 before ST choked it away
SanFran had an electric offense this era, too bad no rings came from it.
2:48 Refs: hey hey hey hey
History has show that if the Niners had stuck with Smith they probably would’ve won a SB and would’ve certainly had more playoff runs. Harbaugh might’ve kept his job. Smith on out got better after this he even led the Redskins to the playoffs. I called it from day one
I think that Smith would've beaten Baltimore, but he WOULDN'T have come back from 17 down vs Atlanta in the NFC championship game
Kaep still my favorite player 🔴🟡. Should post 2013 game at Lambeu
Can’t wait for the game this weekend!
You're Awesome NFL Throwback
Kaepernick was on fire....🔥🔥🔥🔥
that Ross muffed punt turned the whole game around..
