    Looking back on this game it really shows that this man had some incredible talent. You don't just run for 200 yards as a QB in a playoff game with 2 touchdowns throwing and rushing by accident

      Had talent but was too inconsistent and he started to regress in the seasons after. And he also became distracted with things outside of football, became a gigantic drama Queen and became too much of a pain in the as$ for teams to want to deal with. So he’s earned not being signed by a team since his exit

      Talented, but not consistent in any way. The spotlight didn't kill his career. The inconsistency did. He had already been benched multiple times before he ever started sitting or kneeling.

      He then went on to beat the Falcons in the NFC Championship game - against league MVP Matt Ryan with Julio Jones at his peak and Tony Gonzales. Like the Packers game, it started rough but Kap brought them back from a 17-3(?) deficit. At the time is was the biggest comeback in playoff history. Both the Packers Divisional Playoff and the Falcons NFCC games are here on YT in their entirety and highly recommended as super-fun rewatches (for 49er fans).

      @@rhmayer1 Uhhh did you mean largest NFC Championship game deficit? Pretty sure the Bills completed a 32-point comeback against the Oilers in the playoffs back in the early '90's & then Peyton Manning led the Colts on an 18-pt. comeback against the Patriots in the 2006 AFC Championship game.

      You didn't see SB XXIV, did you? 55-10 beatdown of John Elway and the Broncos by Joe and the Niners. Joe went 23-29 297yds 5 TDs no picks.. they could've gotten more, but they pumped the brakes in the 4th.. He knew the offense like the back of his hand.. 3rd, 4th, 5th reads.. just as master class on QBing

      @@dre32pitt That was an incredible blowout. As I recall both the 9er O and D took their foot off the gas. Could easily have been 62-3, as I recall.
      And later, Steve Young broke Joe's SB record and threw 6(!) TD's in his huge win over the San Diego Chargers - again, another master class for QB's. I think he also ran one in, as well. So, yeah - the 49ers have a lot of great QB history, and Kap was definitely one of the fun ones to watch as well.

    The Catch 3, the Kyle Williams fumbles on a night where the D-line was pounding Eli Manning and Davis got two wheel route TDs, beating the Panthers on the road and stuffing them at the goalline on two different drives, coming back from down 17-3 against Atlanta and holding them on 4th to lock up the win, and almost coming back on the Ravens, even beating up on the Hawks until Colin turned it over three times on the final three drives... and of couse this game.

Doesn't matter that the 49ers QB rushed for 180.... 2020 also vs SF was his fault. 280 total yards rushing, 37 points. He should have taught the Packers defense how to make a tackle.

      If you average the yards rushed per season, Kaepernick beats Steve Young by 100 yards every single season. Young had a much higher passer rating although that was in the heyday of the Bill Walsh West Coast Offense, which favored passing a lot more than the run. Harbaugh is a much more midwest kind of coach and likes the dual threat, which worked well with Kaepernick who was basically an extra running back when needed.

    • @kronosis1337
      @kronosis1337 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DriveCarToBar yeah Bill Walsh used to yell at Steve Young for taking off saying "your team has no idea where you are and are going". But by the time Steve was the starter walsh wasnt head coach anymore.

      Tampatec Agreed. But PornStar Jimmy gotta fix those interceptions. If he can improve on the passing game, which he needs to with so many weapons on Offense, we’ll be seeing another dynasty from them. If I had to chose Colin or current Jimmy, no doubt I’d chose Kaep. They could be a ridiculously dominant team with his arm and agility.

He was a dual threat qb and because of people like him and Russell Wilson, teams keep trying to draft athletic QB's... also the shame came from smooth brains that found kneeling disrespectful but dont find talking during the anthem or walking around for more beers during the anthem disrespectful. Not to mention that kneeling in general is a sign of respect and is commonly done when a player gets injured to show respect and hoping the player is okay, it shouldve been easy to understand but instead political pundits jumped on it and as we all know, politicians and political pundits love making small things into a piece of controversy to either keep their ratings or presence in their respective fields.
