Looking much better mate 👍 the slower you can run the types of filters you have the better they take out the fines 👍 just on the other side of that you do need to turn over the pond every 1 to 2 hours so it's finding that sweet spot in the middle 👍
@@koifishjohnny oh yes it was the main reason the variable pump was invented as different pipework makes different water pressure so there isn't a certain pump for a certain filter 👍
Definitely a massive improvement Johnny so that treatment looks like it is definitely worth a try👍😊. Rockin that shirt again👍😊. Keep up the good work, next treatment should do the trick👍😊
Hi Phil mate 😂 Yeah its good to be fair. I just made a few minor errors but I believe that it will smash it in the next treatment with my plan. Love the shirt TBH im going bang it on for the next episode then wear a different one each time until I run out hahaha.
Hi KFJ, Things are looking up!! As you say the all the interaction between flow speed and other water parameters are not easy to get right. Experience counts for a lot, especially of your own pond. Looking forward to the next go!!
@@koifishjohnny it’s good stuff I use mediclay haven’t used any others. also noticed you have a nexus what’s the flow rate? As much over 10000 litres an hours through it and fines just go straight through it.
hey up m8 you now iv struggled with green water for as long as you.iv tried everything like you.gary from pond and garde said change your uv.but mine is light up.i have bit the bullet and bought a stailess steel 1,and in just 10 days my water is brill.
Hi Johnny, I had crystal clear water until recently. I bought a new UV bulb at the weekend and have seen a slight improvement but it’s still really green. I might have to buy some stuff to treat it. Did you notice any improvement when you used the FOK or clay?
Hi Si, your not the only one struggling with the green stuff mate. I spoke at my dealers the other day and he says its rampant. We just have to be patient and it will pass with the right set up 🕺🏻 Im going be FOKing soon mate
@@sisworldofkoi1976 Yeah mate, you know the score in this hobby mate, patience always wins and as long as its just clarity its no issue to the koi. So happy days mate 😁
Hi BB 👋 I tried that mate some episodes back no success but good call matey, glad it worked for you pal. Thanks for watching and subscribing pal truly apprecciated
No matter what product eventually works it will be short term. You will continually be adding expensive treatments. My pond is in full sun all day 36,000L only have 80w of uv and no bottom drain. ( hope to fix that this year) I never get green water. Its crystal clear. Nexus is excellent biologically but does not keep water clear by itself. It needs help in removing nitrates (food for algea). Siporax is the key. Expensive but probly the best upgade I ever did. Nitrates are so low now that standard test kits measure none. I run a nexus and love it but clarity comes from my siporax that I have diy made a tower for. I only live half hour from you in Bolton. Built my pond 25yrs ago and have made just about every mistake there is. I will always be learning but my water management is on point. If you want a visit from me I would be happy to help a fellow enthusiast. It will cost you a cup of tea😁.
Hi Marcus 👋 I really appreciate the message mate and the support. Your right its a temp fix but Im hoping to get through the spring then it will be over. Your pond sounds amazing mate and Huge have you any images of it? My nitrates are just above zero pretty tiny tint of pink. Not heard of siporax but will give it a good google. Part of my family are in Westhoughton so thats cool. I may take you up on the offer in the future mate. Thats how we learn by making mistakes. Thanks mate 😁
Hi/ I think basically the treatment is doing the same as what the uv should be doing by killing the algae cell and clumping them together so the filters can take it out of the water.
@koifishjohnny it was not the products falt In my opinion. My water was far to soft for 1. Due to limited knolage I used it and had the fish die even tho I had more than enuff aeration the fish was on there side within a few hours and was unable to get them to recover even after removing them from the water into a container with air stones.. from now in ile try relying on a good uvc for green water issues. And water changes for cloudy water if thst acures. How's the new pond coming along buddy
Appy days bud. Its getting there aint it. Alternatively if there's any way you can get some filter floss into your filter system somewhere. You can increase the flow to catch it all and it would be clear within two days probably. The 7 day wait is to let your water parameters stabilise and the oxygen levels get back to normal. If you can test for all them and there ok you can treat again. The chemical does no harm to the koi. 👍
Cheers Bobby mate 👍 Yeah its day 8 tomorrow so should be all good I think. Although Im goingto bang the airation up high. Will do para test before hand as I do do it every weekend so best before for sure
