I’ve had three P365’s and one P938, all gone due to issues which made them untrustworthy. I’ve owned and own many Glocks, I would and do trust my life with them.
P365 is amazing but just doesn't have the track record that the G42 and G43. I know some guys won't carry 380, but tbh, most "gunfights" end as soon as a gun is drawn. 6+1 rounds of high quality +P 380 JHP in a G42 is gonna be enough for 99% of real world self defense scenarios.
Wow. The 365 is impressively small. I was going to replace the 42 I sold, but im thinking: why bother? My 365 is all I need. Twice the capacity and 9mm vs half the capacity, .380 bullets, and 4 ounces lighter.
Large hands probably and extra large hands definitely would swallow this small gun up. I'm between medium and large, so this is about as good as it gets for me. Thx for the view and comments!
I’ve been carry the Glock 42 for a few years now. I love the gun! People ask me why I carry a 380 when I’m a big guy and I say because I shoot it so well. The gun goes bang every time I pull the trigger. With that being said, If I ever thought I needed to go to a 9mm I would definitely opt for the Sig P365. Just to retain a gun that I was familiar with size wise.
The Glock42 has less recoil for sure. It's much easier to control especially for a new shooter. Recoil impulse is magnified the longer you shoot. I can shoot the G42 all day...After about 100 rds out of the P365 I've had enough of it. A larger frame 9mm no problem though. Hope this helps...
Train and shoot enough so recoil is a non-issue. Reps will make it a less of an issue. The P365 certainly has more felt recoil - especially with the flush fit magazine. Get the extended mag and you are able to get a better purchase on the grip with all three fingers. Additionally, adding a hogue grip cover helps a great deal. I installed one on my P365xl and it is much nicer to shoot.
Weight is a big deal LCP 2 to G42 to P365 +- 5grams increase every time for pocket carry Glock 42 weight & size is prefect. If you waist carry or belt P365 is perfect.
Excellent video! While lots of people say the G42 is a sweet shooter, I don't understand all the love for it for concealed carry. It's large for a .380 and doesn't even hold many rounds. Choices are a good thing, though. My Shield 9 2.0 is my favorite small gun to shoot, but I want to try the 365.
I've wondered the same thing. Seems like it would work for sure, but I've never done any reloading before. I'm sure it's been done before...wonder what the results were or would be?
Good size comparison between the two. I currently have the G42 and have the P365 in jail. Can't wait to get it out of jail. Btw, nice SD4K. I have the SD43 ;-)
I don't have the G42 anymore. Pretty much sticking to 9mm...for now. My P365 only gets shot about 20 rds a week since I ran the 1st 1000 rds through it. I will say it's one of only a few firearms I've ever had to never have any kind of malfunction! It's my EDC of choice. Good luck with yours and nice eye on the SD4K! The SD43 is next for me!
Thank you! Took forever for me to convince myself to get it. Always wanted one and after the purchase a couple years ago I couldn't be happier with it!
@@trod7374 i have the same watch. Most Sub bois don't know about the SeaDweller and lose their sh*t when they realize they bought Rolex's baby diver. Than i educate them about my other Rolex... the Deepsea 🤣🤣🤣
Sig for the win! I own both, so don't anyone come with that Sig fanboy stuff. It's cool that you did this size comparison; but it's obviously an apples vs oranges battle. I don't wear basketball shorts, so I only care about which one is potentially more lethal. Let's see... 11 rounds of 9mm vs. 7 rounds of .380? It's a no brainer. Add to that the fact that .380 ammo costs more than 9mm, and it's game over! I already sold my Glock 43. As soon as I find an interested, serious buyer, I'll sell my Glock 42, also.
I wanted the G43 to be something it wasn't. Never shot it, so it went bye bye. G42 is a nice carry choice, but not compared to the P365. More capacity...more power...more affordable to shoot. Like you said its a no brainer! Why I still have the G42 is beyond me. I'll probably sell/trade soon seeing how it just sits... Thanks for the reply!
Its not just about size though the weight of the 42 is very nice if you live in Florida like I do. both guns are fantastic but the weight of the sig fully loaded as well as the g43 just was a big difference for me with a t shirt and shorts being my attire 345 days out of the year so I went with the 42 especially for a 350 dollar price brand new, Even though I had to spend 100 more to get some real sights since factory glock sights are so crappy
Nice comparison. I own both. The Glock 42 is my pocket gun as the weight makes a huge difference in the pocket even though the size is so close.
Agreed. With pocket carry the weight would be more of an issue vs belt/holster carry.
Thanks, have the G42 and was looking for a size comparison with the P365. Nice watch by the way!
Yep. Same here. Looking into the 15rds
I’ve had three P365’s and one P938, all gone due to issues which made them untrustworthy. I’ve owned and own many Glocks, I would and do trust my life with them.
I have both and I shoot the G42 better. Love my P365, but the Glock has a better tigger and shoots more accurate for me.
P365 is awesome 1300 flawless rounds in mine front pocket carry all day long👍

I completely agree!
The G42 doesn’t have a great track record
I’m just commenting to break up the “T” comments. As you were.

Isn’t the difference in weight fully loaded more than 4 ounces? I’ve shot a glock 42 a bit but am looking into a p365 for carry
It's astonishing how tiny the P365 is. I never anticipating passing on a 9mm because the grip was too small for my hand.
Large hands probably and extra large hands definitely would swallow this small gun up. I'm between medium and large, so this is about as good as it gets for me. Thx for the view and comments!
Just get the 365 hogue rubber grip for 10 bucks. It makes a big difference for large hands.

J. Ko if youre going to shoot a 380, the 42 is the one. Amazingly soft-shooting 380.
The weight is Very important !
Great video thanks bud
What’s your manufacture date mine is 10/22/18 and my front sight looks a little dim. How is yours?
My case says 10/02/18. The front sight isn't as bright as the back. Barely noticeable. If the back sights are say 100% then the front sight is 95%.
12/18/18, love it.
question: how is the recoil on those two? i'm a newbie and trying to find one that has less recoil, i'm a newbie.
thanks

As much as I like this sig the 42 holds so much better
Why?
@@losoj30 because a small .380 is way better to shoot and more accurate than a small 9mm

Some people prefer the lighter recoil of a 380, which is even easier in a slightly oversized gun that fits the hand.
Thanks, sir!
What about their accuranses?

Nice video man
Isn't .380 ammo more expensive than 9mm?
.380 is more expensive. It varies, but usually around .05-.06 cents more per round last I checked.
@@trod7374 You think 9mm can be easily modified/reloaded to work in a .380? (Cut down the rim, the length of case and correct the powder load?)
